Room 420 is 34 x 15 feet. Bath is 10x6 of that. 510 square feet and we paid about $480 per night, all-inclusive, so thats about 94 cents per square foot. (We paid 83 cents per square foot for a smaller room, no balcony, at the W in Montreal). Rooms 420 and 417 have the largest balconies on the fourth floor, and the only covered balconies on the top floor. Upscale, new hotel right on the wharf. Best views are on the West street side and face the water; other side faces the parking lot. Funny thing: when i booked the hotel, i was told you cannot see the sunset from the property. Well, we could see the sunset from our room. Any top floor room on West Street can view the sunset. And, if your room is not on the top floor, you can go to the fifth floor pool area and watch the sunset. Very young, but friendly and knowledgable staff. Evan, especially, made our stay great. Some rooms do not have bathtub, so be sure to ask if you need one. Could use more lighting near the sofa. Pet peeve: night-stand is between the beds, but no nightstand on the on the opposite sides of each bed. Beautiful horizon pool on roof, but its not heated! Make-up mirror would not light up. Guy came to fix it and could not figure out how to replace the batteries (its not hard-wired).

The service at Peddys Restaurant sucks. We were served exactly after 1 hour and 10 minutes, a not-so-big "Big Dish" entree with horrible service. My partner ordered a simple Caesar salad, which was not fresh at all. We had to ask for a bread basket, which was brought to us just as the food was being served (and BTW, we did not have any plates for the bread!) The server was not even apologetic and did not seem to care at all. We also saw an elderly gentleman trying to complain to the manager about the service to no avail. All in all, NOT a place to recommend, especially after a nice day in Bar Harbor. There are plenty of other places to try; we definitely shall.

Great location on West Street. Within walking distance of the stores and restaurants on Cottage and Main Streets as well as the sandbar to Bar Island. Amenities include a pantry for the floor which provides free bottled water, bags of ice, coffee, tea, fruits fro breakfast and cookies in the evening. The employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. The only negative is that the parking lot is for guests only however we saw many cars without passes taking up spots. If you try to park late there may not be a spot available.

The West Street Hotel was a pleasant stay - it sits right in the downtown area of Bar Harbor, and is close to basically every shop or restaurant there. Its just a quick walk to wherever you desire, and a short drive into Acadia National Park, which is a very nice area to explore. Our hotel room had a nice view of the harbor, and had a small but nice gym. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I recommend the hotel to anyone looking to enjoy Bar Harbor - just make sure to ask the hotel if your room faces the harbor or not.

Had a terrible experience at this hotel. We booked directly with hotel. Let them know not once but twice we were going to be arriving in the middle of the night and with two small children. We literally watched them give away our room in front of our eyes at 1:30am. They then sent us across the street to a far inferior hotel that ended up overcharging us by rate and for the amount of nights we were there. For a hotel that bills itself as luxury, this was far from a luxury experience.

The location is amazing, right in the middle of town and right on the water. All the rooms have balconies and most of them face out to the water. The entire hotel has a nautical theme and the rooftop pool is amazing, great way to be outside and soak in the sun. The staff is very attentive, the showers are huge, the rooms are sizable and the hotel has a convenient parking area just for hotel guests. Also, lots of bars, restaurants, shops and the harbor are right nearby.

Went there as part of our summer holiday to Acadia National Park last September. Staff were polite, attentive and well trained. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The cookies, water, coffees and fruits are a nice touch...Just get them quickly! Location was wonderful. Proximity to National Park was great. Highly recommended. Keep up the great work West Street hotel.

Meh, not really worth the premium hotel pricetag. Room was a little small but decently furnished. I was really not impressed with the obstructed, back-seat harbor view, especially for the premium upcharge for the harborside room. The parking lot view if you took the standard rate room would depress you, beware. Nice service personnel and front desk.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Great location. We had a wonderful stay. They have thought of everything. Casual nautical decor is so fitting for Bar Harbor. Snack bar with fresh coffee and cookies. We will be back! Would not want to stay anywhere else! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making our get away so memorable. See you again!

This is one of the best hotel I stayed in. Very clean and beautiful design, staff is very friendly and professional. The food at Pattys is awesome and the location of the hotel couldnt be better. The roof top pool is amazing. I recommend this hotel 110% and I will definitely be back. I give this hotel 6 out of 5 stars.

Really great place! Excellent remodel job! Staff was top notch too....everywhere-hotel, both restaurants, AND the Whale Watch boat! Quite the success operation! Also in talking to the staff, they all seem happy too! Very apparent through their attitudes and demeanor! And clean! Kudos!

The location was good the food was pretty good and the service was good she have the fish and chips it was a bit overcooked , not to mention way overpriced for what it was, and there was not enough truffle and the truffle fries. But other than that, not a bad pub.

Wonderful! I would highly recommend the West Street Hotel to everyone. The staff was excellent, the room was beautiful and clean, coffee stations on every floor with snacks, and the best part is the roof top pool overlooking the Harbor and West Street.

Great pool, great hotel for BH but really disappointed by the lack of Bible. I get it you are trying to be PC but this is America and I should be able to have my traditional Bible. I sinned, multiple times and couldnt properly repent. Traitorous hotel.
