I want to make sure every new bride knows to bring their measurements with them when they come to Blue Bridal OR second guess your consultant and request them to size up. I traveled to Denver from Billings, MT to wedding dress shop since it was the easiest and least expensive way to have my mother from Indianapolis with me. The day of my bridal appointment went extremely well. I found the dress of my dreams and everyone that helped me was very nice. The consultant took my measurements and told me I would fit perfectly in a size 2. I then signed off on my measurements and ordering a size 2 without knowing that that was a binding contract. I was never offered a size up just in case as I now hear so many bridal consultants will do. Ive never gotten my measurements professionally taken and I typically fit into a size 2, so I didnt second guess. Fast-forward a couple months when I get my dress in the mail and it is too small, like 4 inches gaping in the booty and hips too small. I took it to a two seamstresses, one of which said she couldnt do anything with it and the other said she could but that with myself knowing what the dress is meant to look like I wouldnt be happy. Now, I know youre thinking I probably gained weight and thats why the dress was too small. Let me assure you that that is not the case. I am still wearing all the same clothes that I have for the past 4 years. I even joined a health challenge not even a month after my appointment where they have it well documented that I in fact lost a pound in two months. None of this mattered to the bridal salon since I signed off on my measurements. I ended up paying an extra $450 to get the same dress in a size 10, the only size that was available. $150 for a restocking fee from the size 2 and $350 rush fee to get the dress to me a week later. The dress ended up perfect thanks to a seamstress in Billings, who I cant thank enough. But, Blue Bridal has no sense of customer service.

Blue was my third appointment of the day, and upon entering, I was charmed by the shop itself and the atmosphere. The chalkboard outside listed all the brides names for the day, and makes you feel special, not just another “appointment”. My initial appointment ended with me saying yes to a dress I didn’t truly love, after trying four or five on. Everyone in my party loved it, but I didn’t have the “moment” that everyone talks about. I called the shop a couple days later, and spoke with Julia. I expressed my frustration to her about not being in love with the dress, and she went above and beyond to help me! She asked me to send her my Pinterest pictures and inspiration ideas to her email, and she responded quickly and with her own expertise and opinions. She went so far as to request sample dresses from the designer that she didn’t currently have in the shop, but that resembled my personal taste. She scheduled a second appointment with me, and made my day! Julia has an in depth knowledge of the designers in her boutique, including what can and cannot be personalized on each dress, and took my personal style and insecurities into account. She suggested two dresses to me that weren’t in my original thoughts, and I loved them both. She recommended customization on them that I wouldn’t have thought of, and was extremely patient with me as I varied between the two dresses. I found my dream dress, (one of her suggested styles) and walked out with a smile on my face and a great feeling in my heart. Julia easily could’ve stood behind the “no refunds, no exchanges” policy, but instead told me “I only have happy brides”. She truly went above and beyond for my day, and my dress. Words cannot express my gratitude! I highly recommend Blue, as more highly recommend Julia!

I stopped by Blue Bridal Boutique on a whim and upon entering noticed the sign on the door, "By Appointment Only" (a practice of business I completely understand for this industry) and I was shortly addressed by a young woman asking if I had an appointment. I told her I did not, and casually asked if I may look around. The young woman allowed me to browse, but her general manner and attitude towards me was extremely off-putting, making me feel out of place; she made an impolite comment on what I was wearing. The young woman did however send over an associate to check on me. Later on, I told the young woman I would like to make an appointment, she gave me the paperwork to fill out and told me she had an opening the following week at 12:45. I accepted the appointment and confirmed with her the date and time while I entered the details in my phone. When I arrived for my appointment the same young woman approached me, wondering who I was and if I had an appointment. I told her, yes, we booked last week. The young woman communicated again in the same disrespectful manner and tone, and she had never booked any appointment for me! The young woman was also rude to my family member I had brought with me as a guest. I felt embarrassed and like we were treated as an after thought to her. She seemingly treated the other clients in the studio in a very different way. Overall, I do not recommended Blue Bridal. There is a good selection of dresses, and a sweet, helpful, staff member there who assisted me and turned our experience into an enjoyable one. This being said, beware if you encounter the rude young woman who manages the store, she may disturb your optimistic spirit which is so important to maintain in this very special, shopping and decision making.

Blue Boutique was the second bridal shop I had been to when I started looking for my dress. I was the only one there with Julia, the manager, and my mother, so it was a very intimate, fun experience. I found my top choice - Lola Blaire by Heidi Elnora - but wasnt sure about the price. Julia informed me Heidi would be in town with more options and discounts if I wanted to attend. I made an appointment. My second time in, Chelsea was my stylist, and I told her I had my top choice, but wanted to try a few other options. Afterwards, I was still in love with the Lola Blaire. I put Lola on, and Heidi came over to discuss my dress. I told her I wanted to add sleeves, which she drew up for me in mere minutes. The sleeves looked beautiful, but the price alone was expensive. Chelsea reassured me that if I didnt want to go with Heidis choice of sleeves, their seamstress would be more than willing to go fabric shopping with me. This made my decision...I said yes to the dress! Julia, after Chelsea told her, came by to hug me and congratulate me. She also informed me that brides usually feel pressured into getting accessories after buying their dress, so Blue Bridal sets up another time for accessory shopping, along with getting pampered with make-up and champagne. I LOVE this bridal shop! The dresses may be a little more expensive, but its worth it knowing how well theyre going to take care of you. Im also really glad Im not tying the knot anytime soon so I can fully enjoy this part of the journey. Thank you Julia and Chelsea for such a wonderful experience, thank you Heidi for designing my perfect dress, and thank you Blue Bridal for truly taking care of me! I am a Blue Bride!!
