I have shopped at this store since it opened, but after my experience today Im seriously reconsidering shopping somewhere else. It has been a common practice for shoppers to line up a short distance from the check out lines and wait for the next available cashier. Today was no exception as the store is small and was very crowded with people. There were 3 people in front of me and 2 people who had just walked up behind me. An employee/associate told the people behind me they didnt need to wait that they could just walk up to the next chashier which they proceeded to do.when the person in front of me tried complain the associate became loud and defensive and said no one should be waiting in line. I tried to tell her it was a common practice in this store for people to wait in line and that there 4 people in front of the 2 people she had spoken to. Also, if people shouldnt be waiting then the first person in the line, who had been waiting patiently, should have been told this and not the last two people. She made no apologies and in fact was quite rude in her attitude. Meanwhile, at least 4 customers left the store with a very bad opinion about shopping there in the future.

Stopped in to pick up some fresh shrimp for a little shrimp boil for some guests in from PA. I had heard that WF (whole paycheck) was ridiculous on some of their prices, mostly because of the "organic" ripoff perception that is passed on (and accepted) by so many of this younger generation. But I figured, shrimp are shrimp. The Gulf creates all shrimp equally, right?? WRONG. Apparently WF has a connection in some part of the Gulf, (or perhaps Southeast Asia), that can harvest a special 21/25 count shrimp and justify charging $18/pound. And yes, this is in New Orleans, La - not BF Egypt or Chicago. The same shrimp that I buy regularly at local markets here in NOLA for $2.99 - $3.99/lb., is sold at WF for $18/lb. I quizzed the youngster working in the seafood area as to what makes their shrimp so special from the same shrimp I bought last week at Deannies in Bucktown for $3.49. Of course, he had no answer. What an incredible con job and rip off scenario WF has bestowed on the public (at least those who shop there). Perhaps Jeff Bazos and his gang can offer some sanity to the WF ripoff when they take control later this year.

There couldnt be a better location for this market - the fresh food options have increased drastically since the dark food-desert days post-Katrina, but attracting a new Whole Foods to serve the whole City, at such a central location, and in an area that was not their "target" market demographic was no small feat. Well done Broad Community Connections. Now we finally have a centrally located market that serves is accessible to a wide swath of the City, has a business mission that meshes with delivering fresh food by actually growing it on the premises, and hiring locally.

Whole foods customer for years. Overall, a fairly decent market, friendly & supportive staff, competitive in every way with many other stores in general. The only issue is the misleading labels on several products, 365 brand products specifically, being labeled organic and coming from China. It still might possibly be organic but the quality assurance international (QAI) doesnt inspect foreign produce, and China isnt exactly "quality careful". I still love whole foods market for other reasons but this is definitely a matter of suspicion. Actual rating 2.5 starts

My go to grocery store (along w Rouses CBD). Fancier sélection plus very good prices on basics with their Everyday 365 label. I just dont buy pricey stuff and dont spend a fortune. Good bulk section and decent produce. I dont understand or like some recent changes including the less interesting salad bar and "fattening" up of prepared foods, but its tasty. Better than a Rouses and more expensive for it. You can spend a lot here or you can stick the basics and do pretty well.

Whole Foods is a shopping experience EVERYTIME!!! This location is no different. Love to peruse the store for my intended shopping item & the unintended shopping item. I always manage to leave with something "new to me". Love the smell of fresh flowers as soon as you dawn the doors of this location. Ample ground level & rooftop parking. Always a pleasure to enter. Look forward to my next trip.

I miss Whole Foods! This is the best locations of the three, the easiest to get into in my opinion. People here are nice and the food is consistent. Quality is outstanding. Its also the easiest to get in and out of. Always pricey but I go for the vegan goods and salad bar (as well as the occasional treat or two.) One star for the parking. Its always full and its a small lot.

Normally Im a solid Whole Foods fan, but this was a very bad first visit. The space isnt big enough for the standard selection of WFM products and the store is unnecessarily crowded. But most of all, customer service was poor and rude. Thats the store trainers deficiency. Customer service, quality, and selection are what Whole Foods is supposed to stand for. Wont be back.

Great selection for the size. This is the smallest WF store Ive ever seen, but it has more variety than the ones Uptown and in Metairie. The staff are always knowledgeable and helpful, and this location has Gentilly Cakes on standby for you to come and get! Ill definitely stop by again when Im in the neighborhood.

The staff is topnotch as you would expect. Compared to the stores in TX and MO this one feels rather small with limited inventory. Very few samples are given out, and I really missed the the warm, fresh baked ciabatta! What they do have is good, sometimes stop in for a slice from the pizza bar.

I will give it 3 stars only cause the cut meat department is very very good. Best of all three wholefoods. However checking out is a different story. Expect to put your own groceries in the bags while the rude staff talks to other employees. Makes you feel like your in North Korea.

I go for here hot food/ salad bar, but beware parsimonious, penny-wise, tightwads, this "eatery" is as uneconomical as I am comical. But the values do change since neither me nor the salad bar are not a mathematical constant. Tip: I like the hot n spicy wings on the endcap..

The convenience of having a whole foods in mid city but without all the things you need from a standard whole foods. Buffet looks like slop and tastes about the same. Employees are generally helpful and friendly, except for the prepared foods section.
