Ive been going to Melissa at Louisvillicious for all my special cake-related needs for years, and she never disappoints! So I knew exactly who to choose when it came time to plan for our wedding! I had a very specific vision for our wedding, and it involved multiple cakes of 2 and 3-tiers (five total cakes on my table alone....yeah, Im a cake diva) and Melissa sketched it out into a gorgeous plan. We had such an awesome variety of flavors and OH MY GOSH -- they were gorgeous! Pinks and golds and ombre effect and fresh flowers on top... it was my dream come true! Everyone kept coming up to me at the wedding just to tell me how awesome the cake was. And we had just a tiny bit left over -- a true wedding feat! Now lets talk grooms cake. My music-loving man wanted a Beatles-themed cake (our favorite all-time band) and boy did Louisvillicious deliver! Three tiers, Abbey Road silhouettes, drum kit, drumsticks, vinyl record to top it off -- insane! Sadly, I wasnt able to taste any of our cakes on the night of the wedding, but our fabulous wedding coordinator saved us a piece from every tier and it was in our hotel refrigerator when I woke up the next morning. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. Pretty sure I shed a happy tear over that little detail. :)

There are certain experiences in life you really take for granted. I think shopping for the perfect cake is one of those experiences. While preparing for our wedding last year, we met with several bakeries and sampled enough cake to give the average person diabetes. It was until we discovered Louisvillicious Cakes and Desserts, that we felt at home. Melissa (Owner) personally met with us for an appointment and designed the most extravagant, beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen in my life. She spent well over an hour with us going over every little detail about the cake. From colors, to textures, to structural support (its a big cake - check the photos), to flavors. Melissa spent her time getting to know my wife and I and our personal likes and dislikes throughout the entire design. The entire team at Louisvillicious broke their backs and serviced every need for my wife and I. There was nothing we could imagine that they could not provide. Such an amazing team here. I will always come here for all my cakes and dessert needs. I really cannot say enough good things about the experience they gave my wife and I. Thank you so much Louisvillicious!!!

Just stopped by to taste cakes for my sisters wedding, and...oh my god the cake here is so good! The shop is bright and open, and you can tell that good work happens here. The proprietor is friendly, pays attention to even the smallest detail, and obviously knows what shes doing. We tried several cakes, but the carrot and spice cakes really stood out. The cream cheese icing was so cream cheesey! The peanut butter icing was so peanutty! The chocolate options were dark, rich, and not too sweet. I got a bourbon cupcake with almond icing for the road, and it was delightful. While we were there, I saw some beautiful examples of what they can do to cakes--intricate piping, or even painting on the side. This is going to be the place people go for event cakes in Louisville!

We were having a dessert bar at our wedding, so we didnt need a large cake, just something for ceremonial purposes. We went with Louisvillicious after hearing good things, and we were happy with how our own cake turned out. It was definitely a fair-value price, and they were honest with us about renting a stand/providing our own given the size of our cake. We didnt have too particular of a cake in mind, but they turned our thoughts into something that worked perfectly for us and matched our wedding decor. The only problem that we ran into was that they accidentally gave us the wrong cake when the groom went to pick it up, but upon return, we were given the correct cake. Overall, definitely recommend them!

The wedding cake that Louivillicious Cakes made for our sons wedding was AMAZING! It was absolutely beautiful and truly one of the most delicious cakes I have every tasted....and I LOVE cake...so I am a bit of a cake snob. We had more compliments on the cake than on anything else. Thank you so much for helping to make our celebration complete! We are recommending you to EVERYONE we know. You truly were the icing on the cake for our wedding experience :)

Melissa & her team were AMAZING!! I had never organized a baby shower before, & when it came to the cake, I was clueless on what to do. They worked with me on the theme, & after giving them pretty much all "creative control", I was absolutely blown away! The creativity, attention to detail, & flavor combinations were beyond my highest expectations! I will DEFINITELY order from Louisvillicious again, & will send everyone I know their way, as well!!
