I decided that since, this is day 4 trying to get some freaking tags that werent expired that im downgrading my experience. Can i get some service please! My fiancee and I were victims of the Okolona Flood in April, I lost my car immediately, and had to purchase a new one. My fiancees vehicle died a couple months after that, so we were on the search for another vehicle, and were looking for something affordable and dependable. We found a decent car at Sam Swope on Dixie Hwy, and believe it or not, were able to get financing for a 2nd vehicle; which is basically unheard of. So hats off to Duncan at the Finance Dept at Swope, he was great to deal with....However I cannot say the same for my sales person at Swope...he kept treating me in an off-handed manner, not really taking my questions or concerns seriously. Maybe its because hes been selling cars for so long, (his words) but its not every day that I purchase a vehicle, and had valid questions. I thought the experience would end there, but then when we drove the car home we noticed that it had a license plate on the back - not a temporary tag - and that the decals were to expire in June, just 2 DAYS after we purchased the vehicle. I of course called the lot to speak to my sales person, who sounded indignant and put out that i was calling him with this small insignificant problem. In an off-handed manner AGAIN, he told me i would receive the decals within days...so I tucked my tail between my legs and hung up...its now a full month and havent received the decals. I call again, this time asking the main desk for help; who transfers me to the title clerk - who immediately states that the sale rep didnt do what they were supposed to do to get the decals to me in the first place...and questioned (to herself) why the sales person didnt just put a temporary tag on the vehicle in the first place!! AMAZING - so weve now been driving on expired tags for a month, and had i never called (the implied suggestion from my sales rep) then this never would have been found out. My suggestion - People training - I dont care how long YOUVE been in the business of selling cars, but my MONEY and my TIME and my QUESTIONS are valuable to me - much more then they are to you obviously. Im still dealing with this. So, THANK YOU to the title clerk for getting this in gear...i pray i get my tags tomorrow, because I would like to go on with my life...I wonder how fast they would react if I treated their car payments in the same manner they seem to handle my issue? Food for thought I guess. So my rating is "ehhh...its ok" and Im just glad its over for the most part. Ive heard great things about Swope, and I might try again...maybe but if I were being honest...I had a much better experience at Bachman Chevrolet, where Ive purchased 2 vehicles before.

I brought my car in for repairs and paid $1,100. I had to scrape from everywhere borrow and Beyond. Every since I got it "fixed" Ive been having slight overheating and my car was jerking. Well not even a week after getting my car "fixed" it completely broke down. I had the tow truck drop it off last Thursday. They told me they could not give me a rental or loaner. So no clue how I was going to get to work or get my kids home from school. So I got a bus than walked 45 mins in the heat. Just so I could be with my kids until they get off. Still trying to find a way to get us home. I had to miss 2 days of work which I got in trouble for. Well 3 days go by and not one update at all about my car. So I go up there and there is hardly anyone working. Which I dont understand why not since they are so "slammed". A nice young lady was nice enough to help me get a loaner because she didnt understand why they did not give me one. She also told me that my car was still sitting in the same spot that it was last Thursday when it got towed there. Then she tells me that the guy that was working on my car would not be there today or the next day. Long story short if I can. My car has been sitting in the same spot where the tow truck driver left it last week. Ive not had one phone call on an update about my car at all. My car was not running well since I left the dealership after being told it was "fixed" and nothing end was wrong. I drove up there to tell them about the problem and they said it should be okay. Few days later my car completely broke down. I should not have to pay a penny because my car did not have problems until I left there. Also my car is been sitting in the same spot for a week with no word at all after I have tried to hear something. I will never buy another car from here and I would advise no one else to buy a car from him. My aunt and uncle have bought their past three cars from here they told me they will never come back. Ever since it changed from Sam Swope the customer service has went completely down hill.

Went to this dealership to look a 1994 Ford f-150 Flare side truck that was listed for $1400. I could tell from the pics that it was a little rough, but was expecting that from an older truck. Get there and the sharks are swimming all over the lot. Tell the salesman, Dave Evans that I was there to look at the blue 1994 f-150, he asks "The red one?". That was my first clue about what this experience was going to be like. So we go to the used lot and he says he is going for the keys, 30 mins later, he says he cant find the keys, but I can go look at the truck if I really want to. I told him I drove a hour and half to see the truck, so yes, Id like to look at it. He tells me that the truck is a total piece of junk and I probably wouldnt want it anyways and it was going to cost at least $600 more to buy it due to the transfer costs and so on. We get to the truck, all the tires are flat and the drivers window is out of the track . Someone finally shows up with the keys, after Dave gets on the walkie talkie and cusses out whoever was on the other end. The guy shows up with the keys and says the tires were fine last time he drove it, as they use it for a lot truck to get parts and so on. Tries to start it up, and it wont start, which leads Dave to say, "See, the piece of junk wont even start." Then tries to sell me something else. "That $1500 would make a good down payment on a nice new truck." I never mentioned having $1500 on me. They do some paperwork on a $5000 dollar truck and it comes out to a $800 a month payment and the sale price magically turns into $10,000. So I said no thanks, and walked out. So of course, even after telling them not to contact me again, I keep getting emails and calls wondering what they can do to get my business. Well, you can stop posting bait trucks in ads to get people on your lot that you know youll never sell and maybe stop trying to rip people off. That would be a good start. Oh, now the truck is listed at $1100, so if you want a non-running lot truck, theres a deal for you.
