I went to Advanced Vision about a year ago and Dr. Daniel Weinberg was great! The communication I thought at the time was off between him and his office staff. There was information to be passed to me that almost wasnt. I am not going to try to guess whos fault it was at that time. I do remember the office staff being a bit unprofessional. What finally did it for me was this morning, December 20th. I had received a text stating I was overdue to set an appointment. I called and the young lady who answered the phone was a bit short. At first she couldnt hear me so no big deal. Then I explained the text and that I needed an appointment. There was a long silence. I asked if she was there and she said she was looking for the first available. Well, nice of you to tell me I thought to myself. Then she said a date in February. I asked if she had my information from my phone number, and then she asked for my name and DOB. I said I was looking at my calendar due to my work schedule and asked if there was another day of the week. There was what sounded to me like a sigh and then an exasperated question, "What do you prefer?" I just said not to worry about it and hung up the phone. Her tone just reminded me of the staff I experienced the last time I was there. Looking elsewhere which is a shame because the doc seemed really nice and professional. Maybe it was just isolated to my two times there so I wouldnt discourage anyone from trying to see Dr. Weinberg. I just hope he reads about his office staff. I can see Im not the only one.

I found my way here about a year after moving to town and have been less than impressed with the customer service. At my initial appointment, I felt very rushed through the paperwork and new patient onboarding process, and felt as though the doctor raced through my exam. Following my appointment, I was immediately asked to select frames and contacts to order that day and was given a bit of the cold shoulder when I let them know that Id like to take some time to consider my options (and verify all of my new insurance benefits, too) before placing an order for both new glasses and contacts. After reviewing my benefits and options for both, I called back and tried to order contacts -- only to find that one person is responsible for placing those orders and he was unavailable and on vacation (but no one would tell me when he may be back for me to follow up and place an order -- I was simply told to "try again next week sometime") I tried back the following week and it took three days (and too many phone calls) to finally get contacts ordered -- when an order was finally placed, I was told by the associate that I would receive a call to verify that my order was placed and that I would be provided with an estimated date for delivery. None of this follow through on their end happened, and I found myself (again) on the phone following up to be sure that my order was placed, only to be met with a less than friendly reception, and an abrupt end to my call.

Kim Grubbs is probably one of the most unprofessional, judgmental, as well as unreasonable human being I have ever encountered. When I asked to speak to Dr. Weinberg, I never received a call back. Kims response was, "Well, youre dealing with me now. He will not speak to you, I assure you that." She also canceled my eye appointment to ensure that I will not have contact with Dr. Weinberg. I have read great things about Dr. Weinberg, but if it is true that he will NOT take the time out of the day to hear complaints about his manager then that is just unfortunate... Kim will continue to disrespect clients. Her short sightedness and judgmental characteristics will continue to cost his office potential customers. Word to Kim: Please do not call me to pick an argument, spit insults and bully. If you have any concerns, Dr. Weinberg can contact me directly any time. I REFUSE to deal with your unprofessionalism, your harassment and your refusal to remain calm and reasonable. You lost your opportunity to "resolve" anything the moment you chose to be disrespectful to someone who did not disrespect you. I truly pity you if you dont even have an ounce of guilt for treating people the way that you do. Its truly disgusting.

I feel that they are all about the money. For years this office has been hounding me for a $20 co-pay. This after I paid $1000s of dollars and many, many co-pays. When we last visited the office, it was again explained to me that the final $20 co-pay bill was incorrect and I was told to disregard. They showed me where I had paid several co-pays ahead of time, and that in fact I still had a $20 credit. Still, for each month for the last 4 years, I have gotten a bill showing the overdue $20 co-pay. Initially I would call the office each month to resolve the issue and was told to disregard, as it was a billing error. Years later, they have a collection agency after me. They have contacted my family and work. I will not pay because this is their mistake. They lost a family of 5, each a paying customer, because they are such jerks about this. Not a fan of their money grubbing methods.

Optometrist was very professional and had a great eye exam. Ordered glasses and contacts, and the trouble began. Was informed my insurance was not available until the new fiscal year. Turns out, the reason was they had placed a claim. I spoke with the office manager and she said we were good, but she never shared that with the gentlemen that was to order my glasses and contacts. After several weeks, and no glasses, I finally took my prescription and ordered my contacts and glasses elsewhere.

I would like to thank Mr. Bland and Ms. Morse for publicly pointing out the flaws in our office. Each issue was resolved through better communications. Wow! Do not expect customer service from scheduling. Someone there does not like to male changes or help you out. It is their way or the highway. Doctors are great but office personal really makes you feel like crap. Wish we had gone somewhere else.

Even though the office is kinda hidden, everyone is so nice and dr w is fantastic with kids. Four stars because of location/ parking. Otherwise five stars!
