3-30-2013 at 2:00 pm, shop there an pick up some groceries, after i paid it in self check out, I noticed the mustard was expired on 2012 & has some discoloration showed in the container, I approached the staff to replace the mustard, maybe i could have went got it myself, but these two employee has an attitude with their tune in their voice insist for me to go to customer service, so i went to this woman in customer service after checking the mustard then realized the problem, then i told her , I want this replace, then she ask me if i want cash back, so I said " yes i want my money back", wasnt happy about & already heated up and upset, I left the store drove off, feeling unsatisfied, I came back to the store and returned all of my grocery to the same custumer service person and told her i didnt appreciate the way they treated a small incident, all they have to do is just replace the mustard . I guess common sense is not common anymore.

It pains me a bit to write negatively about this store because the staff has always been so friendly, but I cannot overlook the frozen food department anymore. Most of the time when I shop for groceries there, the freezer area is not turned on high enough and starts defrosting onto the groceries getting the cardboard packaging soggy. I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, but two times now I have gotten my food home only to find it spoiled when I go to cook it because it was sitting in too high temperature too long. It is very unsettling to open a package and find discolored meat inside. I have not had any issue with other product there, but the frozen food section containing pre-made meals, pizzas, and other frozen snacks is very risky to purchase from.

Dont expect a deal at Meijer. Unless its Black Friday, youre paying way more than Walmart. On most items you see just a few cents difference. Not at Meijer. I paid almost $2.00 less for a quart of transmission fluid is the same brand at Walmart. Meijer has good produce but the meat is the worst of all Lexington groceries. Way overpriced and not a good deal at all.

Though I enjoy the size of the store as it is rarely too crowded to shop. Their customer service is much to be desired. They seem inconvenience by coupons and when you call to ask a question, you are shuffled around to various people barking and screaming at you, (meat department today, for me). That really turns me off to wanting to go there.

I prefer Meijer over Walmart. They got best prices, offer organic local produce. Meijer also happens to have US Bank branch inside the store. Tip for people looking for deals : Mejier always have great deals on clearance on non food items like toys, electronics, school supplies and so many more household items. All the Meijer stores are 24 hour.

Clean store with helpful staff and plenty of merchandise. They are competitive with other big box grocery stores and even have name brand clothing and shoes (Adidas, new balance, Reebok, Asics, etc.). Unfortunately, we dont get to shop here often because it isnt that close to home.

This store is usually clean and not crowded! You can typically get a close parking spot, and you dont have to wait in a long line to check-out. The produce selection is usually really good there, and the employees are nice. They also have a pretty good toy selection!

Meijer is massive. I had a positive experience shopping here. I found some great deals. I do not like that everything is going electronic. less and less people to serve you directly. But this is a trend in most business like this.

Meijer is the best place in Lexington to get great, fresh, delicious produce. I dont recommend, however, their bakery department. The cake I ordered for my sons birthday was a little disappointing.
