I think that most people would agree Walmarts appeal is low prices and NOT their customer service. Fort Wright, KY is my local Walmart and I have had a few disappointing experiences over the years that causes me to take breaks from shopping here. Its hard to spend hard owned money at a business that fails badly at providing a quality customer experience. My most recent visit I went into the store to return a cheap necklace (I found a different one that worked better for my dress ). I didnt have my receipt so I asked for Store credit. The Necklace was still in the package and unopened. The item rung up for only $1.00 but I paid more so The employee who worked in customer service (Devon) told me I can exchange the item for another necklace that equals what I originally paid.(He was new) so I went back to the jewelry section to check the oringinals necklace cost and they were still on display for the price I paid. Devon explained the necklace was probably about to be marked down soon it just wasnt tagged yet. I went to get another necklace I wanted to exchange it with and found out from Emily who was now helping me because Devon left that The replacement necklace was also $1.00 so I could another item to make my total equal the oringinal cost of the necklace. I found a few other items went back to her and she then tells me her computer wont let her exchange the times because I didnt have a receipt and she misspoke because she was confused about my ask. Im not sure how because I clearly explained my situation and She knew I didnt have a receipt to begin with. She had to call a supervisor over to honor what she had told me earlier. After waiting 10mins and being harrased by some drunks standing in line the supervisor comes (Zac), I calmly and nicely explained how I just wasted 30mins of my time because of being ill informed and I wanted to speak with him because of principle and not the money. He told me couldnt help me because he didnt know what I actually paid for the necklace. Although the necklaces were not marked down yet! I walked in that store antiscipating a 5min exchange and 40mins later (complete waste of time) walked out annoyed, frustrated and angry that I Even speant money here to begin with. I was inconvenienced, and lied to 2x!! When did customer service stop being important. Im so disappointed.

WARNING: Ive had to file a report with the DEA (and other law enforcement agencies) and transfer pharmacies because, for three months in a ROW, there were pills missing from my narcotic pain medication (an average of 3 per perscription). I tried reporting this to Walmarts Corporate first, as well as locally, but they neither apologized nor even responded to this serious problem. I never heard anything from them but, hopefully, the DEA and/or LEO did SOMETHING about this serious criminal offense. Ive experienced nothing but the utmost disrespect when dealing with the Sporting Goods/Ammunition department and the experience is one I share with at least three other family members. They lost my Mothers business permanently when they blatantly disrespected her over the phone, yelled in her ear and hung up. I was trying to purchase ammunition yesterday, March 1st, 2015, and after my brother-in-law, my disabled sister, and myself waited 10 minutes for the employee to stop talking with another we walked toward him. I asked him the price of a box of ammunition (should have been roughly 10$), he says "I think its 28$, wanna buy it?" without even attempting to walk toward his register...much less check the price. My sister and her husband decided not to buy there either after having been disrespected and the fact that said employee was either too lazy to check the real price or potentially was trying to steal the remaining 18$. I called the next day, waited on the phone for another 20 minutes, and then had to speak with one of the head managers. They ended up walking back to manually check the price because, again, the worker in the Sporting Goods area was nowhere to be found and/or too "Busy". She quoted the ammo at 9.97$. Often the prices of various items are wrong and, on more than one occasion, they tried charging me 10-20% the listed price and, after I asked them, they said "If you see two prices for the same item in the store you should assume the HIGHEST is the right one." Overall...I have nothing good to say about the location even though I know at least 3 of the employees fairly well.

GOT OVERCHARGED PAYING PHONE BILL! SAID THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO GET MY $ BACK BC ITS ANOTHER COMPANY & LONG WAIT!!! RUDE MANAGERS ON 2ND SHIFT! WELL THE ONES I SPOKE TO WERE! BARE SHELVES!! WHAT STORE DOESNT HAVE 2 LITERS!!THEY WERE OUT OF SO MUCH!! TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE STORE! This is one of the worst Wal-Mart stores around. I was trying to go to the money center to pay a phone bill, had to go to customer service because they are so short handed didnt even have a person to work the money center. After standing in an astronomical line, I got to be helped, well he had to call a manager over he didnt know how to even do a phone bill since he doesnt work over there, after waitin 15 minutes for a manager to come help, i went to go find one myself, to find 2 of the 3 on shift were standing by the register where you get cigarettes, just hanging out having a good time talking and eating enjoying each others company i guess and i was like ive been waiting 15 minutes for a manager and the one lady said they were both busy, she would be there as soon as she could though. I understand a long line, but when an employee at your store cannot help me until you come over, waiting 15 minutes is just crazy. A lot of people might be in a hurry to go to work or pick up their kids whatever hell be in a hurry to get home and do nothing. I needed to pay my bill i had to wait. Finally pay my bill that night looking at my bank account, they overcharged me I had to go back, and they said they didt know how to get me my money back. Well to me if you can take my money you can pay it back to me, refund it whatever. BIG HASSLE!! STILL HAVENT GOT MY MONEY BACK INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT!!

First off, I cant help but feel that the high ratings are from employees who work there. It is in no way a decent walmart, and its made very clear that no one there cares about quality or service from the moment you walk in. Dont bother trying to shop for clothing, as their idea of stocking is throwing things into a pile with no price tags to be seen. Employees are often heard complaining about their job, or having to do anything while at work, and made a strong effort to avoid customer interactions. Some have even gone so far as to turn their backs on customers mid-sentence and walk away. In addition to rude employees, the managers dont seem to care either. We had to wait 20 minutes for a manager at the service desk because she was too busy restocking shopping bags at all 26 lanes, even though there were only 3 lanes open in the middle of the afternoon. She then told us that we had to wait our turn, as she was preoccupied with helping her employees, and they came first. I bought a PVC laundry organizer, and come home (a 30 minute drive) only to find out that not all the parts are there. Ive tried calling the store to get a return in line but I get put on hold for half an hour at a time. I have a service dog, and would have expected this store to offer isles that are wide enough for me and the dog to walk through, but due to all of the products that have fallen in the isles, we could hardly get through some places. This store isnt ADA friendly, and no one there cares about anything except when their next break is.
