I bought a small mower and used it 9 times. Two things broke on it...whatever..they dont build mowers. Im not hurt by that. They just sell stuff. Lets talk about the service. After it broke I got almost no help w warranty info. They charged me for a "diagnostic fee". The mower height adjustment had clearly fallen apart, yet I was still fleeced for money to warranty an item that was 95 days old and well within the 2 year warranty period. Uninspired by the quality of the mower, I desided to look at riding mowers while they were fixing the little push mower. The corporate return policy for gas consuming items per the website, store sticker, etc., is that within 90 days an item can be returned. I was about to spend $3k on a riding mower and luckily I asked for reassurance of the return policy. I went up 3 levels of management until I reached the store manager. Upon asking for a confirmation of the 3 month return policy, the manager said he would refuse any return and insisted that there would be absolutely no returns or refunds of any kind on a riding mower. I asked him about the corporate 90 day return policy and he said he would not honor it. Im so glad I asked or else I could have been burned by a manager clearly going against the advitised corporate policy. What a nightmare. Fast forward 40 days and Ive been borrowing the neighbors mower. No biggie. I understand things are cheaply built in China now and even the best stuff is junk, but if HD is going to sell it, at least stand by the warranty.....moving on. The grass is tall and it gonna need a trimming. Wheres my mower HD.....oh ya. I called and the repair guy at the store and he said it had been done for a while. Seriously??? I know theyre not intentionally trying to ruin my buying experience, but cmon. I did my part by paying for your product, its only fair you do your part. Unfortunately, Ill never take the risk with you guys again.

I ordered almost $3000 worth of appliances from this store. During the ordering processes, there were a mess load of installation fees, extra parts, and "installation packages" that were optional at the time of purchase, but the associate couldnt tell me what any of it was for... Maybe I need them, but Im not paying for something that has no description. After the purchase, I needed to reschedule the delivery date due to not being able to close on my new home as scheduled. Typically, they have an automated system that handles this, but apparently it says it was "closed" at 2 pm on a Friday.. I tried calling the store and was passed around to multiple different people, but I never reached the appliance department. Eventually, someone took down my information and said theyd have an associate call me back... still waiting.... Go to Lowes. Ive never been disappointed with them.

Customer service is flat out crap. Went there to get a Wood stove install kit, didnt have it even though its winter and I thought a hardware store ought to carry something like that. Wanted a washer and dryer, didnt have those in stock either. Ordered and prepaid to be picked up a few days later. Upon arrival we get told they were never ordered and they didnt have the dryer in stock...really?? That did it. My husband spends a lot of money for his job there but not no more. Taking our business somewhere else where orders get taken a little more serious and things are ACTUALLY available. What is happening to people doing their job...shame shame shame

we purchased some flooring for the kitchen- it scuffs very easily and is impossible to remove. They did not stand by their groutable laminate flooring. Home Depot nor the manufacturer has responded. Also purchased some carpet- we bought the best pad available and middle if the line carpet- worst carpet install ever- very rude men, yelling at me, and my husband for mismeasured carpet (done by them). Yelled at my 5yr old son for asking questions. Seams everywhere. Lowes is way better! Regretting ever stepping into this building. One good thing: Kitchen Counter install gentlemen did a good job.

What can you say...its the Home Depot. I think maybe the best description Ive heard is if you want something to look nice go to Lowes and if you want to get something done go to Home Depot. I would tend to say this is an accurate generalization. I frequently visit both and dont feel I favor one over the other. I do like that Home Depot carries the Honda mower products. I also recently built a drip irrigation system and the system they carry was easy to figure out and very robust.

I was quite impressed with the customer service on a recent visit to the store. A nice gentleman carried my blinds to my car since I was carrying a sleeping baby with me. He was very polite and showed that he really cared about customer satisfaction. I also appreciate how friendly the ladies behind the returns counter were when I recently returned an item to the store. I did not have my receipt, but they worked with me and in a very short time I had a replacement in my hands.

Store manager Drew refused to help me in any way when they sold me a dishwasher for $500 brand new that has never worked. Complete joke. Said because it was a special order item they cannot return it. Special order? Your company offered to get me any color I wanted. Store is a joke and Drew is a clear proof that hourly employees dont care about anything but a paycheck.

Looked for pex fittings. Numerous boxes were empty and one was empty except for two unrelated items. The highlight was the employee who all of a sudden showed up and helped and started making order of it all. He said "hmm theres several empty boxes". Yeah no kidding. About didnt find the shark bite crimper which was the main reason I was there

The help at home depot is essentially a joke. Its the equivalent of using apple maps in 2012, sluggish and will lead you in the wrong direction for 30 minutes with 10 u-turns and still youll still be lost. Save your money and time and go to Menards, true value, or if youre lucky enough an Orschelns.

A moderately-sized Home Depot that offers most small tools and supplies for sale. I do not recommend thier tool / equipment repair shop. It took almost a week to track down a tool that was sent out for repair under the wrong tracking information. They basically lost my tool for about a week!

I am so impressed and thankful for the incredible customer service. These folks went way out of their way to solve a difficult issue for me. The customer service desk and the store manager both spent a great deal of time to take excellent care of my problem. Nice job folks!
