I have to agree with randi. You get treated poorly in certain ways. Its got to where Ive got nervous even coming in. I have been working on some projects and had to go in for different things maybe once a week, I do a lot of comparing prices and researching items online while I am there, so I might linger in an Isle longer than some people, it ALWAYS attracts attention, and every time Ive gotten help I am quite sure the salesmen really doesnt actually understand the question. To the point where the blade I was looking at specified one function and the employee was treating me like I didnt even know what saw it was meant for, let alone telling me it would be able to do something that it wasnt meant to do. I showed him the function specifications on the package and explained the package said it wasnt meant for what he was telling me it could do. He just shrugged. There were also reviews online that said not to use it for what he was telling me i could use it for. If I had bought them and used them on his suggestion I woukd have snapped the blades, or hurt my saw. I dont know what he was aiming for in this situation. I do my own research to avoid these kinds of problems, and even when I ask, I will always research the answer Im given. I dont want to mess things up or be mislead even by mistake, but specifically not by someone just trying to get you to buy something even when they dont know what it is, while treating you like you dont. Im sure not every salesmen does this. I just wish they understood that I dont need help every time, and if I do, I will ask. And to be honest if they dont know anything about the product, because theyre risking the customer damaging their own property or selves on advice of these employees. This employee in particular was just rubbed me the wrong way, and Ive had other similar experiences but this one upset me the most. I dont remember his name or I would let people know who to avoid.

Me and my husband went here to get some things for our investment property that was 2 blocks away from there. To make a long story short we went there trying to get some paint and other things so we had the guy working there mix it up for us and he told us to give him 20 minutes so we went to get some tile, so were trying to get help with the ceramic tile because we needed almost a WHOLE PALLET we stood there for 20 minutes while 2 different people told us "theyd get someone with a forklift to help" SO then we say "forget the tile lets get our paint and get out of here. We go there and the gentleman that was standing behind the counter tells me "those people over there liked your paint so im going to have to mix more, give me 20 more minutes" OMG are you serious??? At this point we go to the customer service desk and my husband wants to make a complaint and Robin and Joy the 2 ladies behind the counter LAUGHED in my husbands face, they found it hilarious that were having the worst experience! WTF? He was so mad that we just turned around and walked away. We then left and without confronting the manager in person my husband called the manager there at the store and told him our experience there at "his" store and EVEN the manager had the nerve to ask my husband "what do you want me to do about it" verbatim! My husband says "how about an apology or how about "next time you come it wont be this bad" "how about any of these" and the manager was "dumbfounded"! In short my mother in law goes there 2 weeks later which is today and gets NO help too! So it wasnt just US! This store needs new management and because of them my husband which is a professional contractor, has his own business and spends ALOT of money at home depot (well did) WELL NEVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN BECAUSE OF THIS STORE AND THEIR COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!! GO LOWES!!!

Do not buy major appliances at Home Depot. They have a 48 hour return policy which is ridiculous. Bought a new HE top load washer and dryer set and noticed 2 weeks later that it was not getting all my clothes wet. Was advised that nothing can be done except get with manufacturer which claims that it is working properly. Other retailers allow 30 days or more. Now Im stuck with a HE top loader washer that does not wash clothes well. It is not really HE because I have to spend 2-3 times longer washing my clothes. The sales rep and market design gives you the impression that you can do a normal to large size load of laundry and that is not the case. I can barely even do half the size of laundry compared to my front load washer. It is very misleading and nowhere does it state that there is a 48 hour return policy except on their website in small print under "exceptions". Even the Home Depot staff that I talked to thinks the policy is ridiculous, but the store manager would not budge. Other than that, other products and staff are good. Just dont buy any major appliances. Their Corp phone customer service wait time is horrible. I was on hold for 30 mins before I gave up.

Horribly rude employees! The past two time Ive gone in Ive been treated poorly and like I was an idiot. My husband is gone for work often. Which means I have to replace light bulbs and what not myself. I went in to replace fluorescent lights. My husband told me what to look for to make sure I got the right ones. I was asked if I needed help, I declined hoping I could figure this out and not need help again in the future. When I told the guy I was mistaken and I do actually need help he tells me I should have asked in the first place. And when I asked how I would know for next time he wouldnt show me. And just today I went in to get paint samples. They asked if I needed flat or semi gloss and I couldnt remember what we got last time. Pulled my phone out to call me husband really quick to ask if he did. One of the men at the started telling me multiple times to put my phone away. When I told him I was calling my husband and why his response was "you let your husband tell you what to do?" And not in joking way.... I will never go back again.

I usually shop at Southlake or Roanoke home Depot due to the excellent customer care and appeal. Today I went with a limited budget to buy a shower wall, and since they were out of stock in the particular one I wanted, I inquired if I can have the one on display. Richard who was helping me said he will check with the manager, and came back within seconds said yes, if it could be removed. He took out the displayed one with the help of another wonderful representative, and within a few minutes I had what I wanted. The reason I am writing is the hard work did not matter to Richard and his colleague, throughout the job they were so cheerful, and so happy to do what they did, and made me feel very comfortable even though they had to go that extra mile to take off the whole display, just for me. I am so happy about the service at Southlake and would recommend this store to everyone. From the cashier to the paint personnel everyone is so friendly and helpful. Thank you to the manager for a great job done at your store.
