Steve, you probably asked an employee when they were really busy with another customer or a different situation. If an employee at any business is busy and asked by a customer to do something, he/she will politely tell them to either wait just a second, or theyll have someone else come help you. Sorry that this didnt happen for you Steve, but if you wouldve been a little more patient, you wouldve got the best deal on that toolbox in the metroplex. John, in order to have access to the parking lot sale before the general public, you need to be a member of the Inside Track Club. Im sorry this wasnt explained to you in more detail when you visited the store June 12. The Inside Track Club is a paid membership offered by Harbor Freight Tools. Being a member allows you to access a refurbished goods sale at the parking lot sale prior to the general public. They dont allow the general public into this sale because as a member, you are entitled to purchase products at discounts ranging from 50 % up to 95 % off. Im talking generators with an MSRP of 1000 dollars going for 200 bucks. Mig and Tig welders for 50 dollars I have occassionally seen as well. If you believe the employee was rude to you, put yourself in the employees shoes. Do you honestly think the employee has something against you? Dont you think the employee would rather allow you to enter, and purchase items from the sale that the employee can than get commission off? Also, that employee has probably stood there all day long telling people, "sorry sir, but you cant access the sale due to the fact that youre not an Inside Track Club Member." Hes probably heard all sorts of remarks from customers about that rule. However, they do offer you the opportunity to join the membership and access the sale. If you wanted to get access to the sale you can sign up for the membership and than access the sale. Its well worth the 20 dollar annual membership fee to save between 20 and 1000 dollars on items at the sale. Harbor Freight Tools is the place to go if youre looking for discounted tools in the metroplex. The store gets BUSY sometimes, and if youre too inpatient to find another employee to help you with your toolbox, or any other item, than feel free to go to Sears, Home Depot, or Lowes and spend twice the money for the same product. You two are apparently the type of people who "sweat the small stuff."

The reason this is a 2-star of you and not a one-star review is because its a harbor freight. I came to the North Richland Hills harborfreight with the problem of not one but two of the same item being defective. I purchased two 440 pound winches. Both of the winches failed in the same manner, being that the mounting screws on them were only spot welded and came off completely just by hand tightening them to the mounting surface. The damage was a parent, and I only asked for an exchange, not a refund. The girl at the desk was very nice and referred me to a manager, who seem to be too busy for me. She quickly looked at the boxes asked if I had a warranty, insisted that if the boxes were open and the receipt was not present nothing can be done. I shook it off and left. I then called the Irving and Arlington branches and told them about the situation. Both of them invited me to get a full refund even though I was only asking for an exchange. I feel as though this manager at the North Richland Hills location neither does not know the return policy or for some reason was pretending not to know it. Even though the NRH location is closer, I will be taking my business here on out to Irving and Arlington. I am extremely disappointed and will not be shopping at this location furthermore.

I called in and asked if they had a part in stock. A gentleman by the name of Mike assured me it was in stock at the listed advertised priced. When I arrived it was as promised. A very nice lady name Amber cashed me out and even checked my coupons to make certain she was giving me the best price. Totally would recommend this store to anyone needing top-notch customer service.

I recently went here to buy a new tool box. The item I wanted did not have a price tag, so I tried to find an employee to help me. Good luck. I found a young woman who looked at me then walked off like I wasnt standing there. So, since I couldnt get any help or a price for the tool box I left. I have shopped at Harbor Frieght before, but after this I will not go back.

The staff at this location have always been helpful. Ive often been told that HFT have the lowest quality tools, but after buying their stuff for over four years (hand tools, power tools, home & auto equipment etc.), as a relatively light user (not a pro) none of it has ever broken down or given out on me. I dont buy the extended warranty coverage anymore; never needed it!

John June 12,2011 Poor Customer Service I drove by this morning. I saw a parking lot sale, stopped by, one of the employees stopped me, said I had to have a special pass. very rude. I told him I dont have to have a special pass to spend money at Sears. Thumbs down to Harbor Freight. Dont plan to go back.

I have always had a good experience dealing with Harbor Freight employees whether it was a question or a return they have always been helpful. Talk to Adriana at this location, she is one of the Managers and super nice. The store is always clean and has what I am looking for in stock.

Received a coupon by text and the sale doesnt start until 3/24 despite text message stating it started 3/23. Store refused to honor coupon. Cashier wouldnt call manager, just said hed let him know about the error. Crap customer service.

Harbor Freight is a good place to get a quick tool at a reasonable price if youre not expecting the best quality. The sales staff was helpful and friendly. Its a good place for the homeowner that uses tools occasionally.

Check out lines can be very long and slow going. Can improve by maybe self checkout or express lane, only credit or only cash lanes. Anything to speed up. Ive often left because waiting time is forever it seems.

Really the best prices for tools for the "Non Professional" - Dont expect these tools to last forever if you use them a lot - But if your just using them around the home - they work GREAT!!!

They carry most of the things I need for my work. Everything they carry will last as long as you take care if it. I get a occasional item to return. But nothing like Lowes or home depot.

This specific location has good people. I shop here frequently ($1.30 at a time) and the staff recognizes me and will joke around with me. Well run.

Great place for cheap tools! I shop here often for good deals. I tend to stay away from their power tools, but definitely save money here.
