Went to the store yesterday for patio furniture and a grill, spent about 30 mins picking out both but couldnt see the grill I wanted since it was on a 4 foot shelf, a employee came around the corner and offered to grab me some stairs or take me out front where he just assembled one, unfortunately I didnt get this guys name but he was extremely helpful, especially when I asked about a patio set that the ankeny store had a lower price on, after he called the ankeny store and found out they had it on clearance and the demo was the last one they have and will have"hence why it was $70 off" we walked to the customer service counter where he spoke with a manger and came back saying unfortunately we cant match the $70 off however I can take $50 off, and I thought I could just go up to ankeny and buy their display however with how much time this guy has spent helping me I instantly said Ill take it and the grill. I asked for a cover for the grill and he measured it and got me the right cover, now at this time this gentleman got called away to run the forklift but before he left he called over another employee to make sure I kept getting the right help, and yes this second employee which I have forgotten his name was just as helpful and nice as the first guy. Now mind you this store was extremely busy it was a nice morning so everyone was out and about shopping, I am 22 years old and a mechanic so my jeans and from my elbows down are constantly dirty, however both of these employees didnt see me as a young kid or treated me different since Im usually dirty. I will start doing all my shopping their as I usually went to menards since it was closer to my previous home and hopefully Ill run into these 2 great employees and thank them again for all their hard work

Went to this Home Depot as well as 2 other nearby stores today because as of next week, were going to start buying the materials to make our own privacy fence. Out of this home Depot, (as well as a menards and a Lowes) this one is LITERALLY the only one where we were greeted, talked to, or helped. At the Lowes, I couldnt even FIND an employee to ask, and b at the menards they all seemed to act as if they were deliberately trying to avoid any interaction with customers at all. So theyll be the ones were dropping our money at next week, for their service alone. Despite the fact the prices were a little more here, Id rather pay for help when I need it then save and get absolutely treated like trash-which was the attitude of the Lowes employee when I eventually hunted one down.

We ordered all of our appliances and countertops there in June. So far working with Home Depot has been a complete nightmare. They didnt get our countertop order right the first three times, so who knows what will actually show up when it gets here if it ever does. They came to measure and when we called two weeks later, the countertop still hadnt been ordered. We have been trying to get our appliances delivered for the past month but no one can seem to give us an answer on where our appliances even are. Talked to the so called manager there which got us absolutely nowhere as well. I will never ever get anything from Home Depot again for remodels.

Not a happy customer: Looking for retaining wall stones + cap stones. The youngster that helped me, simply advised me to shop online. The troubling part was they didnt have the number of cap stones, via him looking at the upper decks of the rack and not seeing any. Id been there a week ago and had a youngster that actually checked their stock and told me they had at least one more skid. Today would have been better had he checked the inventory with the scanner he was holding. No other help was in sight, even after searching in the main store. My score of 3 out of 10 is quite generous given the circumstances.

The worst experience I have had in a home improvement store in quite some time. I asked an employee to locate an item I was searching for. He had no clue and didnt spend any time helping me find it. Turns out it was right next to him in the aisle he was working at. It was retarded that I had to pull 20 foot plus pieces of trim off the shelf and hand cut them with a saw to buy them by the Foot. I have never seen a store with more employees working and not one of them asked me if I needed any help.

Visit at 1pm to get part for toilet. No greater at this time. Went straight to plumbing Isle and found part and related items within ten minutes. There was no personnel in the general area or it wouldnt have taken even that long. While check out person was very courteous and helpful and thankes me, not one other person I walked near said a word, like thank you for shopping at Home Depot, may I be of assistance? Note: Any store who asks me if they "can I help you" I turn around and walk out.

This morning I took a Tile hanging class with Dave. Awesome guy. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Katherine was my cashier and very friendly. My only suggestion would be is advertise your classes more. Overall I shop at Home Depot for prices, customer service and I always find what I need as a single women I do try my own projects and find them so rewarding when completed. Thank you!

flooring and carpeting people are a complete dis-appointment. from quoting prices, keeping their word, to follow-up. i wish i had dealt with a local business versus dealing with them. a very stressful process, and turning into a nightmare.

I buy a lot of stuff here. Most recent purchase was a dishwasher from Lou. Great overall experience. He helped us identify the best option based on our needs. Great product knowledge and very friendly.

We bought 18" ceramic tile. The clerk was very helpful, ideas for the grout color was given. He loaded it on the cart as well as loaded our truck. The most helpful store, we have been in.

This Home Depot is terrible. The parking lot is a ridiculous nightmare, and the staff are almost always unfriendly. Go to the Ankeny store, its much better.
