My boyfriend and I pulled into the Washington, Iowa Walmart expecting it to be like every other Walmart wed ever been to: Chaotic and disorganized, with merchandise strewn about, nothing where it was supposed to be, full of smells that make you ask "What is that?!" (and not in a good way), parents and children scream-fighting, lone elderly people fighting through throngs of texting youths with tears in their eyes, the occasional dead-eyed employee darting in and out of the shadows. WE COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG. Everything was organized. Employees were smiling, working industriously. Children were quiet and well behaved. People were polite. Our cart didnt have a wonky wheel. We didnt have to wait for 90000 hours in line. We didnt leave drained of life, lacking direction. We left smiling. It was almost like wed been shopping at Target. Walmart should give the Washington, IA Walmart an award. For being awesome.

Great employees, VERY clean and organized store. Large merchandise assortment for a smaller community. There is no tire and lube service (I read another review that said there is, not true) but there is a great pharmacy with excellent staff! Great deli and bakery! My daughter LOVES the toy department as do my nieces and nephews! Nice selection of clothes and shoes for boys and girls, men and women! Great photo shop and electronics department! The garden center is awesome! Customer service counter is very efficient and the cart attendants even SMILE

Dont have a lot of merchandise we look for or find at other Walmart stores. The toy section is nonexistent in this place, clothing department lacks any variety, as does the shoe department. We have a large family and it would be nice to find these things in our local store rather than having to look for them in other places.

If you dont want to hear employees gossip really loudly and/or congregate in the middle of an aisle and chitchat, dont come here. Also, if you want an employee to actually ask you if you need help, youve come to the wrong place. Beyond these issues, theyll usually have what youre looking for, if you know where its stocked.

If youre getting alcohol, make sure everyone around you has an ID saying theyre over 21yo. Or youll be leaving empty handed. Never felt so discriminated against for being white. Whats happening to our country?

It is a smaller store, but that can be really nice. The fresh veggies tend to be a little higher than other options in town, but they are open late at night. They have a decent selection.

Ordered tires online from Walmart and shipped to the store for installation in their Tire and Lube center. Apparently this Walmart is Lube and not so much tires, as they wont install.

Always empty shelves. I go in to get a specific item & theyve stopped carrying it! Happens too often. The worst is being out of milk, water because no one puts it on the shelves.

Pint sized Wal-Mart. Doesnt have the selection the bigger stores have but you can actually find someone to help you in this store! You will also find super speedy check outs!
