We went expecting to love it based on reviews and the outside, but sadly ended up sorely disappointed. To start, we were impressed as it smelled great and the counter staff was friendly and there were beautiful treats and delicious sounding foods for lunch. In our experience, it turned out to be a great concept, but fell short on execution for us in all regards. The décor/theme was a cute idea, but felt half done. Music/sound was poor, product displays were lacking freshness and charm, and the food was mediocre. Our treat sounded and looked great but tasted bleh. Our lunch was plated in a boring way, had no extras like a pickle or a few chips, the meat was sparse and nothing of note like a flavorful sauce or spread to make the flavor special or memorable on one sandwich. The other chicken salad had odd flavors mixed together...was there some lemon? We typically love nearly any kind of chicken salad, but neither of us had any desire to finish our share of the sandwich. It may be a great place to get a coffee and a roll, but if youre looking for a cute place to share a special lunch with a friend, you might want to keep looking...

The Kettel House is a great place to go get some goodies, and now, lunch as well!! Ive been there several times, and have always enjoyed my experiences there. They have a very friendly helpful staff, and a very nice homey feel to the place. Not only do they have exceptional staff and service, they have great affordable products. Their beef selection is one of the best in town! Great bakery/ hang out spot for a coffee or lunch with a friend. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

A hidden treasure of Marion! I walked into the well decorated shop and was welcomed by the most pleasing aroma of fresh baked goodness I have smelled in years! I left with a dozen assorted bars cookies and pastries and an absolulty amazing loaf of the best homemade bread you could imagine topped with a family favorite of Asiago cheese! Fresh from the oven to my cutting board it seemed! I am so happy to have found you! The Kettle House is amazing!

Ive been to the Kettel House several times since they opened. Ive never been disappointed in the food or the service. Everything is very fresh and delicious. They continue to try new recipes and offer new items. It seems that there is something new to try every time that I go. But, they have the popular favorites all of the time. YUM!

Breakfast: egg, bacon and Swiss croissant was really good, reasonably priced. The service was excellent. The regular coffee was good. My first time eating at the bakery, impressed. I buy their sweet treats at Fareway- outrageously good. My next stop will be for the chicken pot pie.

I love a good cup of black coffee and theirs is as good as Ive ever had. I opted for the frosted cinnamon roll, among several other pastry choices, equally tempting. And, it was huge! They bake all their own phenomenal pastries. GREAT CHOICE! Ill be back.

A nice local bakery and cafe. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Great variety of baked goods, sandwiches and soups. Breakfast options available all hours. I had the Peanut Butter Crunch Bar, and it was delicious. Definitely worth stopping in.

Quiet location for a nice lunch, plus some delicious sweets to take home! I love their carrot cake but havent had anything there that wasnt yummy. Its not fancy, but its good and Ill take flavorful over fancy any day!

Faraway sells their bakery items. I got a lemon bar. It was thick, sweet, and had a perfect consistency. I went back a few days later and got another one. I went back today and there were none. I was devastated.

They make amazing desserts but not the place you want to stop for a drink. Unfortunately Ive never had a good coffee or chai here but if youre just looking to stop for a sweet treat this is the best place around.
