I have bought guns, bullets and accessories from Ammo Bearer for decades now. Ammo Bearer took my unwanted guns in on trade . They fairly bargained with me and pay me good money. Last week I wanted to restock my .22 long rifle ammo and .22 magnum bullets for this summers shooting. But first I wanted a good idea of current prices before going to Ammo Bearer. I called Scheeles in the Coralridge mall and asked for updated prices, the sporting goods professional said he had no .22 magnum ammo. He suggested that I buy a gun there in accordance with what ammo he had left in stock. Also I called (Fin and Feather) The Great Outdoors. the ammo guy laughed at me and said he had no .22 ammo. Ammo Bearer had the ammo I wanted on the shelf and sold it to me at a fair price. I review go to Ammo Bearer and be treaded fairly and get the supplies you need.

I have purchased 2 pistols from Ammo Bearer in Iowa City and have been totally satisfied with all aspects of the trade/sale. In both cases Ive traded-in pistols on the new purchase and have received more $$ for the trade than any other gun dealer offered. The ammo. holster, cleaning kit, and other mis items were fairly priced and delivered on time as promised. I highly recommend the Ammo Bearer for all your "shooting requirements". I agree, sometimes items are cheaper on line, however, I prefer to pay a bit more to a local business that will be there should I need them.

Great little shop, with quite a wide selection for the size. The staff always seems friendly, and prices are deffinatly competative. As for the previous review, paying anywhere from .25 cents to $1.5 per round for 5.56mm is the norm, depending entirely on what ammo it is. And, the Norinco AK rifles (MAK-90) are labeled as such, because they are Norinco made. One of the most widely produced AKs in the world, they are only import restricted since the mid-90s. You can still find them for sale quite frequently.
