This is simply the best skateshop in the world. The owners are Pro Skateboarder Nate Sherwood and his partner Lindsey Podzimek. Nate is without a doubt the most connected person in skateboarding. He has skated for various big companies like Vision, Independent, Etnies etc etc and has lived and breathed skateboarding his whole life. He previously worked as a writer for Transworld magazine, has appeared on various TV shows and for years had his own series on the show American Misfits on fuel TV. Because of Nates super friendly personality he literally has thousands of friends in the skateboard community and industry worldwide many of whom come to visit him and the shop. Including Tony Hawk, Mike vallely, Willy Santos, Jamie Thomas etc. Despite Nates success as a skateboarder he is probably the most humble person you will ever meet, he will get as hyped seeing a kid that has been skating for a couple of months land an ollie as he does when he is out skating with other professionals or people that have been skating for a long time. Some skateshops can be intimidating as some shops can often be places that are too cool or a bit moody. At Eduskate the vibe is always positive and happy. Nate and Lindsey are passionate about skateboarding and their sole motive is to promote the positive and fun outlet of skateboarding that they love and is a massive part of their lives. Nate is literally a walking encyclopedia of skateboard knowledge, ask him anything and he will with savant like abilities recall any skateboarding history or trivia you wish to know. Nate and Lindsey have put a lot of effort into supporting their local community by putting on events and fundraisers and supporting and sponsoring local skateboarders. Lindsey is an artist and has created an awesome line of Eduskate clothing which are all screen printed in house and all exclusive to the Eduskate store. The selection of boards clothes and shoe brands is incredible, having a shop to feel the right board shape that you need of try on the right shoes etc is invaluable and really important in skateboarding. I cant praise these guys enough. Lovely people and a beautiful shop with a super friendly atmosphere.

Nate was an awesome clerk and not only helped us find what we wanted but dropped the price of it because he was out of our original item. He then put my board together really well AMD told us all kinds of stuff about skating. We drove an hour and a half to the store and it was 100% worth it!

These guys are the best. Why they chose Cedar Rapids to settle down and open the best skate shop Ive ever been to is beyond me, but Im glad weve got them. Nate is a storied pro with endless experience and advice to lend... and hes also about the nicest and most hilarious guy youll ever meet.

We shopped here for our sons first skate board, we knew very little and Nate was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! Prices are great but the man "Nate" behind the counter is better. Stay away from the big box stores, this place is AWESOME!

The staff is very friendly. Since they are so experienced, they do a very good job at finding you the right board or parts. Couldnt be more helpful. Prices are fair, and good deals can be found. Place gives off a good vibe.
