Disorganized and rude. Rachel at the "customer service" counter is among the rudest employees I have encountered at any Best Buy store I have visited in the country. She was not attentive and even told a customer on the phone in the snottiest voice "Well sir you are just going to have to wait. Customers in the store will always come before you on the phone so either call back or come in the store." Wow. Alli is the one redeeming quality of this store. She is always helpful and doesnt let the stress of the busy season get to her, unlike Rachel. I also cant find movies because they are improperly organized, with some seasons of TV and newer movies in a different spot than the other seasons. For instance, if I want season 7 of Big Bang Theory, it will not be anywhere near seasons 1-6. At the front of the store they treat you like a criminal when you walk in or leave. Managements presence is non-existent. Get it together management!

Walked in to switch phone carriers, told me to expect 30min wait, ended up waiting 1hr 15min and they just about let another couple cut in front of me when they had literally just walked in. All that only to be turned away because carrier rep didnt know his own companys policies. I went to a dedicated venue for the carrier and got it sorted within 15 minutes. Waited an absurd amount of time past what they expected without explaination, almost passed up in queue, company rep who was a "specialist" had no idea what the hell he was doing, 5x faster service elsewhere even with them being packed full, and got a better deal at dedicated store for the phone I purchased with the plan. Never returning to any best buy ever again, and advising everyone I know that there are better more professional places to get their merchandise.

My daughter bought her first computer for college. She went by the recommendation of a Best Buy employee, and the idea that she would be able to use the Bamboo pen with this particular computer. At the time of her purchase, she only had enough money for the computer, had the computer for two months, then went back and purchased the Bamboo pen, only to find out that the bamboo pen doesnt actually work with her computer. We went back to the Davenport store with the computer and the Bamboo pen, expecting them not to do much about it. I was pleasantly surprised that they agreed it was their error and upgraded her computer to the newer model at no extra cost. This was by far the best experience Ive ever had with Best Buy and would highly recommend them!

Worthless - better off shopping online. This used to be a really good store but over the last year or so, its went downhill. Customer service is non-existent. You can literally do laps around the entire store seeking help and nobody is there. If you find someone, they either run away or give you the cold shoulder while they socialize with their friends. Inventory system is broken as well. I used to count on Best Buy for accurate in-store inventory on their website but its been incorrect every time over the last few months. Now I see why online shopping is taking over the brick-and-mortar job place. Sad.

Best Buy has continued to evolve after having a rough spot for a while. Thankfully, theyve done some great things like offering price matching with Amazon, a very generous video games reward system (where you can get 20% off of new games), and a decent web site with in-store pickup options. The floor plan has also changed a lot with gigantic sections dedicated to Samsung and mobile. But there are also large areas of unused space, likely from downsizing their music section. You can have the best of both worlds by shopping here and then price matching. And they take Apple Pay now!

Clean, but unorganized store. Computer parts and accessories are in 6 different places (possibly more, I didnt check over by the refrigerators). Friendly, but pushy staff. I understand thats probably how theyre trained, but its pretty obnoxious. Extended warranties, geek squad installations, or Apple have to be in every sentence or they get fored or somethimg. If you ask an employee for information about a product, make sure to do your own research. Dont buy anything that has a "set up by geek squad" sticker on it; its price has been marked up from the original.

My computer had a virus and we went in to get it removed. It took forever to get past customer service and when we did get there they couldnt find our name, phone number, and credit card number in their records showing we bought the computer there less than a year ago. They did find that we purchased Norton Antivirus around the same time. If I wanted the virus removed we would have to pay a lot of money for a year worth of service to remove it and other future viruses I might not even get. Were not really happy and my computer still has a virus.

Was in the phone section for 10-15 min looking for a car charger for my new S8+, I was not approached or greeted by the five associates that noticed me. Went to portable speakers, was approached by a lady who set me up with Jim? (Long hair), he answered all my questions to the best of his ability.. I was satisfied so I chose one. With all the employees working on resets I should have been greeted by more than one associate. I use to manage a big box store and my customer experience was disappointing compared to the service I am use to.

The associates have always been helpful when I need help, I also feel like they do not swarm customers to bad. The employees are educated for the most part and I think they truly try to help the customers and not push the wrong product for whatever reason. I also love Best Buy because I can see products in person before I buy and I am a sucker for shiny new electronics.

I was told that the security system I purchased would work at two different locations. There were 4 cameras and I wanted two at of home, and two at another. Needless to say $375 later you cant do that. Now I have to purchase another base for over $50 in order for the other two cameras to work. I go to Best Buy for their expertise and I was mislead.

I love Best Buy!!! Its always the first place I look and shop for electronics! The people at Best Buy are very friendly, helpful, and know what they are talking about. Their service is first class. If you cant find it in the store you can most likely find it online. They are on the cutting edge of everything you need, or need to know about

We had a wonderful experience buying 2 hub refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 2 wall oven/microwave combinations and 2 induction cook-top. Our sales associate was very knowledgeable and delivery was prompt. But .... dont try to call the Davenport store direct ... your call will be diverted to Cedar Rapids and NO ONE WILL ANSWER !!!

Wife and I went in to buy a vacuum this past weekend. Jim was there to help us, he was very polite and respectful. Answered all our questions, helped us test vacuums and when it came to buy he was not too pushy with the warranty. Would highly recommend this Best Buy location and suggest you ask for Jim if you need any help.
