To say this Wal-Mart is adequate is an understatement. My husband, myself, and our two young daughters made it through your store and were waiting in a checkout line where the cashier had another customer tell us she was shutting down her line at approximately 5:30-6;00 tonight August 19th. To me this was very unprofessional. The other customer did not want to tell us either, and she even verbally told us that. This is where you either bring in another cashier or management takes over. We made it to a second line, where this cashier could not do what he wanted to on the cash register and after another customer leaving his line, the lady at the register just told him she would pay for what he already rang up and get out of there. Thank goodness she did because management was not around to properly get this cashier through the entire transaction either. The key is to keep ALL your lines open...wait for breaks, and if you absolutely must take one Please have another cashier or management in place. There was no reason for any of this and to say Im highly disappointed is an understandment...with colleges moving in and people out shopping who want to get through your store quickly, STAFF SHOULD Not be an ISSUE!

Its one of the cleaner Walmarts in the area, which is to say its dirty but could be worse. That being said, produce selection isnt terribly bad and meat is often fresher than Hy-Vees. Not many of the typical people of walmart to be found at this location which is nice. Employees are underpaid and not afraid to show it. May whatever you worship have pity on you should you need assistance. Its akin to finding Big Foot at times, though slightly less rewarding. You may wish to purchase food before attempting to get a game out from a case as there is rarely anyone back in that area to lend a hand. Do yourself a favor and never get car work done here. Even a simple tire and oil change has proved to be my biggest mistake since my art degree. They may have a new department now (as this was 6 or so months back) but without going into a long story, you often dont get what you pay for. Youre better off going to a local mechanic. All in all, its a Walmart. Its what you expect and pay for when you go. I can at least brag (now) that Ive never seen a crack addict in the Coralville Walmart (Take that Des Moines!)

I went in to buy a few products with a friend the items required you to be 16+ to buy it the guy that rang us up told us we both needed to have a I.D he didnt have one so I asked the guy if he could use a school I.D and he said I would have to speak to someone of higher power he was very nice about it and I thanked him I waited for the lady and when I asked her if he could use a school I.D she was very rude about it and said that I couldnt buy anything because he didnt have a I.D and I was nice to her being calm and she was just flat out rude I dont shop at Walmart much but this doesnt help their chance of me going back if this is how "higher management" runs it

I tried to return my iPad Air 2 and apparently they have a 15 day return policy on Apple products instead of the standard 30 day policy. It would have been nice to have been told that at a the time of purchase. They justified this by saying there is a sign posted by the register in electronics. BS, I paid at the register in the front. The sales person also told be I could sync my iPod shuffle with the iPad which was false information and the manager refused to rectify the situation. If you need to buy anything electronic go to Best Buy and dont waste your time dealing with unintelligence that is a requirement to work at this store.

Getting contacts at the Coralville Wal-Mart Vision Center has been a nightmare. Picking them up they make you watch a video, which is fine, but you have to have an appointment and they got the appointment mixed up so we had to make another. My daughter drove herself the 2nd time and came home without them. They told her that she needed to practice poking her eye. Seriously. How bout doing your job and working with her. We live over 20 miles from WM not next door.We only went to Wal-mart for insurance reasons, Its been ridiculous.Dont know how this will play out, its up to my daughter, but we will be done with them after this.

Is there a negative number system? You guys that gave 3+ stars either have extremely low standards or were really lucky, only maybe four employees are remotely friendly , and management is worse than the employees, no one is where they should be, and CR Walmart is better than this one, if I could I would give negative 5 stars ,even employees know how bad it is... They just dont care, McDonalds employees get paid better then them too, need stuff target is a couple miles away....

Go in at 11:30pm on a Friday night. They only have 2 registers open and the line is backed up into the clothing section. All of the self checkouts are closed except one that had a green light on. Unfortunately the rude associate said it isnt open. Tried going to customer service but there was nobody there. I realize its late, but you have enough employees just standing around doing nothing. This could have been avoided. Good thing Im only here for a few days.

Customer service is mostly bad. Ones I was thrown out of line by one of the manager. I needed pre-filled form, but they were out of forms. She put new forms out and told me to go back to the end of the long line and wait all over again. She was very rude and pretty sadistic. I had to walk away without sending money after standing in line for about 45 min. I also had a few very unpleasant moments with a male manager.

If i could give this place zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible management that lied to me over the phone saying they would futon on hold for me that they never had. Spoke to management (Ryan in particular) and he then tried to tell me that they told me over the phone that they didnt have the futon. Horrible customer service and I will never return here againl. Waste of time, avoid this walmart at all costs.

needed help with a printer. no one in electronics. tracked a guy down in automotive who sent a request over the loud speaker. no one showed up. Went to customer service counter to do a price match on the printer. service lady said they dont match amazon when THEIR CORPORATE WEBSITE EXPLICITLY STATES THEY DO. walmart, get in, self check out, and leave asap. anything else is a waste of life.

Very interesting Walmart. Never been to a Walmart that sells alcohol. Not wine but hard liquor so that was different but the selection was incredible. Had more opting of other items toi since the regular one I shop at in NC is completely different. It was nice. People not so friendly just staring. Annoying but its what it is. Got in got out nor moving in nor returning again. So...
