This place is dying. The CRPL was keeping this place afloat but now that the CRPL has left for a newly remodeled building the mall is continuing its slow decline again. The two main anchor stores, JCPenney and Younkers, are keeping it afloat now, but their lack of selection is not a huge drawing. There are more empty store fronts then occupied ones. There are a few stores that have been there forever (Eddie Bauer, Chik-Fil-A, Payless) but this again is not a huge draw. If nothing is done to revitalize the mall and bring in new business it will close. Every time I go in a business that was there is gone. Most recently the CRPL and Pretzelmaker. A new attempt to revitalize the mall and the area is underway. Lets hope it does bring more business to the site and the S/W side. Otherwise, the owners will need to step up and draw in some more business - or get out of the shopping mall business because this place is dying by inches.

My car was very dusty inside and out from a long road trip on Oklahomas dirt roads. I have to say that it was fairly clean when I left, but not up to my standards. They missed several spots when they wiped down my interior, so there were dust patches all over the dash when they were finished. I bought the $15 package which included a vacuum and wipe down inside the vehicle as well as a run through the automatic washer. The staff was very friendly, but the service seemed rushed and unfinished. Im still glad I went and I would do it again because my car is my greatest tool and asset for my work life. It was a bit too busy that day. I understand how they may have been under pressure to get me through fast and missed a few things.

I dont know how Westdale can even be called a mall anymore. Its an area with a JcPenney, Younkers, Burlington, and some restaurants. People who arent from the area might be confused by the name, thinking its a traditional indoor mall. Not really a fan of the store variety here. JcPenney is good, but Burlington is like every other Burlington: disorganized. Theyre adding a Ross, and I get the gist that Ross is very similar to Burlington. If youve been to Westdale when it was an indoor mall, its kind of funny to see that they literally just tore the mall down around JCP and Younkers.

These *ssh*les had something truly great going on. People even went there just to walk (Mall Walkers) for exercise or to meet new people. It had a decent line of stores, all of which have been closed, except for 2 stores (Younkers and JcPenney?). I hope someone "smart" moves into CR and buys them back in order to bring back this mall and its Mall Walkers. I like Lindale, but I miss this mall with its rustic look and unique infrastructure.

Great walking mall, but otherwise dead. The one thing I find amusing is the current security supervisor--a 5 2" guy with Small Dog complex. Wanted to throw me out, ban me, etc., for complaining about a tenant who did not have a piece of furniture they promised they would have done 3 weeks prior. What a joke! The place is getting torn down within 30 days.

Very disappointed in lack of construction here and then find out it will not be all enclosed. That is exactly why I wont go to Tanger Outlets mall. If I am shopping in winter I dont want to keep my coat on all the time just cuz I want to go to another store..

Pros: Former stores, Chick-fil-a, Eddie Bauer, JCPenney, Younkers, Locker Room Legends. Cons: Dead mall, blame it on Wards I would love visiting this mall if it wasnt dead, god, just bring back Baskin-Robbins to Cedar Rapids. Went there, still empty.

The only reason Im writing this is so people know that this mall no longer exists. It has been demolished, save Younkers and JcPenney. They are building a complex of stores, residences, with outlying stores and restaurants. Chik-Fil-A opens 8/12/15.

Worst mall in the area - great walking mall since it is never busy though! If youre looking for a mall in Cedar Rapids, youre better off with Lindale unless the particular store youre looking for is here. Even better is down in Coralville.

Currently under some renovations. Tore down old indoor mall and putting up outdoor access storefronts. Chick-fil-A with drive through here, as well as some other options in the area. I will miss the old mall but excited about the future

I love this mall! Ive been here since I was a kid and I would hate to see it close! My parents work here and this mall is worth something! It might not be new or have the best stores but it isnt some crap of a place where some people shop!

the only thing keeping this mall going is the state govt and CHIK FIL A oh my goodness how i love chik fil a!!! if this mall closes i might have to kill someone if it means i will get to have chik fil a in cedar rapids still!!!!!!!

It is a chain of department store and a strip mall. They have Jcpenny, yunkers,Burlington and Ross dress for less coming soon. Plus some restaurants around it. Kohls, walna5and target are very close to it.

What mall? The mall is gone. Turn down. Kaput. No longer there. There are some stand alone stores... Penneys, Ross is coming .. close by Kohls; bed, bath etc.; Toysrus; etc.

Not a lot of shopping options since the mall is still being developed (only had JC, Burlington and Yonkers) but great space so I expect big expansion before the end of the year

They are really renovating this place. The mall as it was before has been demolished, but the new stuff they are putting in to remodel and reinvent it is great!

It was horrible service we were there for 30 min and not a single employee said a word to either me or my wife. Very disappointed. Will never shop there again.

I like Chick filet and I like the library. But otherwise its not a very big mall, and I wish more stores were there. I would recommend Lindale Mall in NE

Sephora just opened inside Jcpennys. New store are coming soon after the renewal. I am very excited about it. I hope we get a Ross dress for less in it.

Well as for now the mall is sadly demolished and Bishops is no longer there but they putting a Burlington Coat Factory and a Freddys Steakhouse.

It was recently torn down and being reconstructed. Younkers and JCP are the two End cap department stores that remain open.

This is now an outside mall and no longer fully enclosed. They are continuing to add additional stores and restaurants.

Westdale is reconstructing right now. There is not much to offer at this time but there are places to shop and eat.

Disjointed, big retail stores. None share the same parking lots, and its a pain to go from one to the other.
