I am boycotting Best Buy and I hope you do too. This is why. Back in February I was eligible for an upgrade with Verizon. I ordered a Samsung galaxy s5 65gb online through best buy and went into the Cedar Rapids store to pick it up and active it. Fast forward to this month. I start having storage problems on my phone and discover that I do not have a 65gb phone like i paid for but a 16gb phone. So yesterday i talked to Verizon customer service and the said if i still had the receipt Best Buy would make it right. So today I called the Cedar Rapids Best Buy and the manager said nothing they can do, it is past the normal return period. Even though they clearly were in the wrong. Also, the manager wouldnt even get on the phone with me. So, I called Verizon to see if there was anything they could to do help me. They also called the Cedar Rapids Best Buy and argued with the manager since they were clearly in the wrong. The Verizon customer service agent was so great! We ended up being on the phone for around 50 min. Verizon is going to make it right and send me the correct phone and give me a call next week!

Although I have never been pleased with the service at this particular Best Buy, there is one time that sticks out in my memory as more negative than other experiences. There is a gentleman named Corey who works on the geek sqaud, and, after reading many of the previous reviews, I believe Im not the first to have trouble with him. He was rude, condescending, and straight-up lied to me. I was in to exchange a product which he told me was not in stock and wouldnt be for at least three days, but when I came in to the store the next day, it was there and ready for purchase. Please try to avoid buying from this store, the famous "Geek Sqaud" that draws so many away from purchasing electronics at simpler store that carry them often do not take your requests seriously nor listen to or believe what you have said about the product. I would reccomend Walmart or Target over Best Buy.

Horrible service. My phone was broken and I was told the way they do exchanges has changed. Last time it happened I got a new phone in store no problem. Now they tell me I have to have a card that I can put a $250 hold on it until the exchange is made. Never once did the employee tell me of any other options. How can I afford to put $250 on hold for 4 days?! I have bills. So, I spend all the next day trying to figure out how I can get a new phone that wont break the bank. Finally, I find someone who can borrow me the $250 until I get the new phone and they release the hold. I go online to setup the exchange to find out that there is a standard option that does not require the $250! Had the employee at Geek Squad simply informed me of this option, I could have avoided a complete day of damn headaches! What a total waste of time. Dont deal with these idiots.

I was wowd by the way I was treated and as I read these comments it makes me wonder if the people who write "bad" reviews are just a bunch of Negative people with nothing better to do than write crap that in no way reflects the true nature of a business. To just vent because they themselves were more than likely the problem than the stores employees! Bestbuy was willing to not only price match what I showed them, but then looked to see if there were even lower prices so I could get the Best possible price on the tv and surround sound I was looking at, they took incredible care of myself and my family, were calm, courteous and most of all very knowledgeable. So for most people to have so much extra time on their hands to whine so much I might suggest a pawn shop and see how far you get with your price matching and knowledge :) happy purchasing this holiday season.

This is best buy the worlds largest cheese manufacturer they have many different kinds if cheese they are always coming out with new versions although i think that sometimes they just put a new label on an old cheese and say its more expensive. The customer service there is outstanding everyone knows everything about the products they are selling such as the different types and the differences between the cheeses. They have some of the products on display and sometimes just sell the display cheese. Overall best buy really was the "best" buy for the cheese that I was looking for and the costs are really good to only $5 -$9900000 for the cheese you should check out the best buy sometime were the cheese is alwase cheese!

Is a good place to shop if you love your electronics, but if you ever go to the customer service area a female employee works there and is very rude. She didnt want to give me my receipt. So I just stood there acting, and kind of played stupid with her until she got irritant with me lmao. It worked too, shes so gullable tbh.. Anytime you want your receipt back she wont hand it to you shell either say it will take hours because of all the customers they had got that certain day but in all reality it only took her seconds too make a copy.. I played nice with her at first too. Anyways if you buy something with a warrant get a copy of the receipt.

ive shopped there twice. first time, i got a box and it broke 5 times, during the time of the 3 "no lemon guarantee" time, but since it had been in the shop during that time, the time frame expired (somehow they screwed me out of getting a new one). the next time, i went in and ordered a computer that was decently priced enough but they were out of stock. they then said that they had delivered it, and that i couldnt have "another one." i finally asked them if they wanted me to call an attorney or come pick up my computer. they even put in some software. ill never go there again. no thanks!!

Im leaving 1 star because I have to to be able to write this review. BEST BUY SUCKS!!!!! If I could I would give Best Buy no stars. You have to go through 5 prompts before you speak to anyone youd really care about over the phone. Whats the point of having a phone number to call for inventory if you cant even put items on hold over the phone!? I got to the store and they told me that they had the product I wanted and then BROUGHT IT OUT IN FRONT OF ME AND SOLD IT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER!!! And it was the last one. Im very unhappy. Ill never shop at Best Buy again EVER.

At one point CompUSA ( the now only sell online) was competing with Best buy and one could find parts and accessories at reasonable price, but now days buying PC parts etc from Bestbuys is like buying food at Airports. Dont do it! Go on line, use the local library or a friends internet if you have to. Perhaps other (none computer related) appliances are reasonably priced (I dont know) but prices for PC/Laptop related items are bot just High, they are way way more expansive than what you van get from online, or other local computer stores.
