I have to start out by saying THANK YOU to Lithia of Ames, for making this a much better experience for me, then the one I had at the Nissan Dealship in Des Moines, on Merle Hay Road. (without saying any names)..As soon as I Walked in the front door at Ames Lithia Nissan , Immediately I was greeted by Brian Fox, and then I turned around and was greeted by another guy named Brian Fox, as I started to look somewhat confused, another gentleman come out and introduced himself as Brian Fox..... LOL, this was a great way to break the tension that I was feeling after the horrible experience I had @ Hummels in des moines. I immediately laughed and knew this was going to be a great place to do business. That being said, from the very start I was treated with the respect and courtesy I was hoping for all along . Brian Fox, what a great experience you made for me, and helping me in understanding everything I needed to know in order to make the best choice for me. Pete Hinrichs, I want to thank you as well. I will never buy or deal with another dealership again, other than this one. I couldnt be more happy with my service and purchase. I have already refered 3 of my family members and friends to this dealership, and I look forward to doing business with this dealer again in the future , just to see all the BRIAN FOXS that work there. I never felt any pressure or any disrespect from anyone at anytime. Not only did they find me the exact car that I was looking for, they had it ready for me and looking as beautiful as I had dreamed. Overall best experience ever!!!! THANK YOU LITHIA NISSAN OF AMES. Thank you all so very much for everything you did to help me, I cant thank you enough.... I am so very pleased with my new 2014 Nissan Maxima , and to everyone that had a hand in getting me exactly what I wanted.... THANK YOU!!!!!

Id give fewer stars if I could. My experience with this place was not acceptable. Doug Krogman is condescending and rude, and literally laughed at me when i had a concern. The manager "Mike" is not helpful, and also rude. He basically ignores what you say. you can call a zillion times, they wont call you back. They false advertise their products. They make promises then screw you over. I was promised a matching armrest for my Juke, I did not receive it. "Close enough" they said to me... Maybe they were mad because they advertised a BLACK juke, but I got it home that first night and discovered it has a blue color in night hours. After they looked up the paperwork they "discovered" it was "blue black", and they wouldnt do anything about it. Every ad said black. The paperwork said black. It looked black.. until night time. Blue. They had to fix the brakes the first week (hadnt even put 100 miles on it).... Thats their definition of certified. If you call with a concern, they ignore your call. When Mr Krogman finally took a call from me, he laughed at me. I will never return to this store, and I will tell this story to every person I know. Do not shop at Lithia Ames, you are just a number to them.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan mutant from a dealer in Pennsylvania in 2016. Drove it back to Marshalltown and love the car. Went to Lithia not having any experience with them. From the onset I have felt that since I didnt purchase from them that they didnt seem to have time for me. Sure there are nice people there such as Chris in the service dept. My point is on this car the clear coat started to peal off. Ask about this an Jeff sent Chis 3 times to tell me diff. Stories as to what would be done. Finally Jeff told me it look like it had been previously painted so I was out of luck as far as warranty. Instead of guiding or telling me he would try to assist me, he told me pretty much I was on my own. IF THEY WHERE EVER WANTING ME AS A CUSTOMER TO PURCHASE A NEW OR USED VEHICLE THEY JUST LOST ME AS SERVICE IS THE BIGGEST THING TO ME WHICH JEFF THE SERVICE MANAGER DID NOT DO. I FEEL THAT HE IS ON THE FRONT LINE AND GIVES A POOR REPRESENTATION OF YOU COMPANY.

Our daughter recently bought a used vehicle from Lithia Nissan. She was very excited to own something newer and be able to do it on her own for the first time. So you can imagine her disappointment when it became inoperable to her within 50 miles of arriving home. Living over 2 hours away presented a challenge, but after several phone calls and a diagnosis nearer to her home, Lithia agreed to pay the majority of the repair cost which would be labor, if we could get it returned back to their shop. For a young family with two young children, this was a great relief to her. A friend going to the area needed to pick up something near there on a trailer, so with God coordinating all the events to get it done, Lithia followed through and helped her get it fixed. As used vehicles are generally sold as is, this was a great relief to all of us. Thanks Lithia and the gentlemen in repairs and used vehicle sales. You were an answer to our prayers.

My husband and I had the greatest experience ever! From the moment Billie came out of the door he was friendly and had a great smile and a hardy handshake. Billie was outstanding! He listened to everything I wanted and gave an excellent solution. Buy a new car! He showed us a 2012 Versa fully loaded and Nissan had a great incentive package. Billie worked very hard for us and respected my wishes of using either my credit union or Nissan for financing. The Finance Manager was great making several calls on our behalf - Thank you Scott and it was great to have the general manager of the dealership take time out of his busy schedule to celebrate my new vehicle with us. Ive never had a brand new vehicle ever but Billie (and definitely the Lord) made it all possible. Make sure you ask for Billie. He truly cares and gives you the bottom line on everything. He spent many hours with us and I LOVE MY NEW VEHICLE!!!!!! Thank you guys!!!!

I recently had a very unpleasant experience at another dealership and was very leery about buying a car. This dealership gave me an amazing car buying experience that I did not expect. Greg was an excellent salesman and was not pushy at all about anything. Kyle in financing was very nice and answered my questions. I thought it was a very nice thing that the general manager came by and thanked me for my sales. It made me feel like a valued customer. Overall this was an excellent experience and has changed my mind about car dealerships. I will definitely recommend Lithia Nissan of Ames to my friends and family and will use them again for my future car buying needs. Thank you for the awesome experience and making my desire to own a new car a reality. I could not be happier!
