Im a teacher. With BAM staff help I found $35 worth of books one of my special needs students wanted for the summer. Ordered them and told staff Id be in with a purchase order in a week. Arrived with PO and was told by the manager BAM doesnt allow POs under $100. Me: "Youre the manager could you make an exception based on the fact your staff allowed me to proceed?" Her: "Nope, Im the manger, but I wont make that decision?" Corporate BAM refused to make an exception, then stopped communicating. Have never been back and have not been impacted at all. We ordered 20 copies of a book for our English 12 class and I made it a point to not consider BAM for the order. We will get 40 more books, but not at BAM.

The prices are out of this world high! Wanted a book on wood working and a magazine on long range shooting. Found them and I didnt leave with them! Long Range shooting by Gun digest (29.99) for a magazine? Go anywhere else and its no more than 10 Dollars. For the book on wood working by DK (40.00)! Heck even Barnes and Nobles was cheaper at (23.00)! Some mark-up is understandable but yours is crazy! I even asked if there was a mistake in pricing and was told no! I asked the person behind the counter if they bought books here and guess what they said, NO! Asked why and just got a smile. Sorry but we wont be back! Price check anything you pick up here and hold on to your shorts!

WATCH FOR SCAM! I fell victim for the magazine subscription and had to change my entire debit card and account do to claiming it as fraud. It was very frustrating that the associate had LIED and stated there were no charges for the magazines, and that I would just get the 3 subscriptions free for 2 months. I never gave them my card info, and in fact found out they take the card number used for a purchase from the pin pad, and apply it to be charged for the magazines. Horribly frustrating, and I am honestly digusted that this kind of customer service is given. I will never step foot in this place again.

Beware the magazine scam, if they ask if you want to join anything decline and pay with cash. Received a $30 charge that we never approved from their magazine distributor. Trying to cancel the subscription is frustrating, you can never talk to an actual service rep. and the automated message uses ambiguous wording to try and fool you into paying for more when you attempt to cancel. Not recommended at all. Books are overpriced with no variety as well. Its like a sad excuse for a Borders or Barnes and Noble.

Great selection of books. Almost every genre is available. If there is a new release, you may not find it on the shelf if its part of a series. I went in for the fifth book in a series and had to ask the person at the register. It was in two places, neither of which was with the rest of the series. That being said, the staff was extremely helpful. They are always nice when I go in.

Check on line to make sure they have the book...great they do and its 40% .....get there and she tells me that is the online price...its only 10% off....and by the time I pay shipping and handling it will be the same price. Great wasted time and gas.....wont be buying anything from this place.

Pretty good selection. Everything is pretty highly priced. Empty shelves made me a little sad. Pretty much a Barnes and Noble when I thought it was going to be a little more special than that.
