Kennedy Hardware is NOT customer focused. We ordered 34 glass knobs 6 months ago and one cracked upon installation yesterday. I called and first the man told me it was my fault because I overtightened the knob. I guess that is possible and Id be responsible if I did, but Im over 50 years old and Ive installed many, many knobs in my life and am quite capable of doing so, understanding these are glass. When I questioned his statement about me tightening too much, he said they should only be hand tight. (Hand tight the knobs would spin and due to their hexagonal shape, this would ruin the cabinet face.) When I asked him about this, he said in a belittling tone that "it was common sense they should only be hand tightened." I was actually going to order additional hardware, but his tone was such I questioned weather I wanted to. I asked about a replacement (a less than $3.00 knob) and he again used somewhat of a mocking tone saying he would never replace a knob I purchased 6 months ago. I had told him the project was delayed and I only installed the knobs yesterday, but apparently, he didnt believe me... implying I was a liar. I decided on the spot I did not want to give this company my business and we ended our call. Moments later, I called back to suggest there be some sort of disclaimer on the website letting people know Kennedy Hardwares expectation was that these knobs are only to be hand tightened. I had common sense, lots of experience restoring older homes and this was not made apparent to me. He didnt want any part of my suggestion... and all I was trying to do was help other future buyers from experiencing what I have. I guess the only way to help others is to warn them to NOT do business with this company. Apparently it was Mr. Kennedy I spoke with and on a 1-10 scale, with 10 being best, his level of caring about my experience with his company was a 0. Then he was rude on top of that. Amazing they are in business. Ill happily pay more to do business elsewhere. As a final note, he said these knobs were for "restoration and decoration only, not for every day use." I believe this should be noted as well if this is the level of quality he is selling, but we never got that far. He stated they were authentic reproduction knobs, but that must not true, as the originals were not to simply look at. They were absolutely made for every day use.

I placed an order over the internet with these people and gave them specific instructions on drop shipping the order to one of my contractors. They proceeded to change the address because, the girl in customer service told me, "the address did not register in their computer." When I called to question what they had done the phone call was answered by a woman who constantly interrupted me and was confrontational and downright rude. When I told her that our company would never order from them again whe told me that that ok because we would never be allowed to order from them anyway and proceeded to tell me to go F__K myself! Unbelievable the crappy customer service that these people provide! After looking at some of the other comments that have been provided I cannot see how they stay in business.

I would never do business with this outfit again. They refused to accept the merchandise that I was authorized to return because the RMA # was not on the outside of the box. Now I am outside of their 30 day return window and they refused to work this out over the phone. BTW, The RMA was included on the inside with my new replacement order. Plus, instructions were not clearly given by them to mark the package on the outside. There must be a more reasons that they are not user friendly and do not make it easy to do business with. More concerning was Mike stating they have a 30 day return policy and then hung up the phone when I asked him how we could make this transaction work. Would you do business with an company that only cares about themselves and does not respond to their customers????

I was a little wary of ordering from Kennedy Hardware because of some of the customer service reviews Id read, but my experience has been nothing but fantastic. Ordering was quick--I actually received the cabinet knobs earlier than the original estimate--and when I called with a question, they were very friendly and helpful in finding a solution (the cabinet knobs I ordered come with a specific kind of bolt, which happens to be too long for our cabinets, but they gave me some great suggestions). When I mentioned my previous hesitation to the person on the phone, she told me that theyre under new ownership, and she was actually one of the owners. If youre worried about ordering because of poor reviews written previously, you can rest assured that this is a great company to work with.

Didnt see reviews until now, but have had nothing but GOOD service. Spoke with Tiffany, a co-owner, on the phone today and she said she and her husband took over the company not too long ago, so they are committed to improving customer service. We had ordered several different cabinet latches, bin pulls, etc for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. We werent sure which size/kind wed like best. After several months (remodeling always takes longer then you think), they allowed us to return them, no questions asked. We even had one latch break shortly after installing it, and they replaced it no charge. Will continue to purchase hardware from them.

I have to agree with the other reviews. I have spent over $500.00 with this business and have called three times to get help with putting a hoosier togeather and every time I speak to someone different and every time they are RUDE!! I will never do business with them again!! Every employee there needs to take a class on customer service! Im not asking for the moon just a little common curtisey!

I called to get a price from this company, and was assured they had the lowest price in the country. When I told them that I had found a company in Texas with a much lower price, but insufficient stock, the representative hung up on me mid sentence. There is no excuse for rudeness from or to anyone. I will not be doing business with this company.

Ive been restoring a cabinet with my dad recently and we had to get some new hardware. They were close to us, so we ended up here. And it was wonderful. Walked us through it all and made sure we werent getting anything we didnt need for our Hoosier Cabinet. Check it out for yourself. Worth more than a few stsrs in my book.

Similar experience as the reviewer before. This company was unreasonable and unfriendly. I also tried to discuss a return and possible an exchange with no response but a caned policy of at 30 day return. Will never do business with them again!
