Sun Valley Sports in Indianapolis and Sam; what a great experience! I have been snow skiing for 15+ years. Mostly because my husband and children all love it. Me, not so much. The reason why? I HATE SKI BOOTS! I have short wide feet with an extremely high arch and big calves. There are (were) NO ski boots out there for feet like mine. And yes, I have worked with many different ski shops in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio to try and find the best boot for me. Thus my reason for not loving the sport as much as my family. I am in pain as soon as I cram my feet into my boots. Well, last week while skiing in Michigan with some friends my husband tells us about these new boots that you can have custom fitted to your feet. Being somewhat skeptical but more then willing to try anything, we went into Sun Valley Sports last night where they offer these new boots (Fischer vacuum fit). We worked with Sam. He is awesome! He took his time to explain to us how the process of getting fitted works and told me exactly what to expect. I was a bit skeptical and not sure I was ready to drop $700 on a pair of ski boots but willing to give it a try. I knew I wasnt going to get any relief with another pair of traditional ski boots so that wasnt an option. Well I went through the whole process of getting my feet custom fitted into a new pair of Fischer vacuum fitted ski boots. It was a not so pleasant, but very short term process to have that OMG are you kidding me result. When I put my first foot into MY NEW BOOT I am amazed. Then I put my second foot in with the same ease and it literally brought me to tears. If you have ever suffered the pain of a ski boot like I have, you will totally understand this experience and appreciate these new boots. If anyone tells you these boots did not offer the relief and comfort they were looking for, they are not in as much pain as they let on. Believe me! Get into Sun Valley Sports in Indianapolis and ask for Sam. He will work with you to get you into a pair of Fischer vacuum fit boots that will give you the relief and comfort you have been looking for.

In brief...if youre looking for ski boots...definitely go here! I was hesitant to buy boots in Indiana because...well, its Indiana. I had thought that I could only find someone with knowledge and experience when Im in Colorado. I was wrong. I had been looking to buy my first pair of ski boots for the past 2 years and finally decided to take the plunge this year. I worked with the manager, Sam, and he was incredibly helpful in helping me determine the best boot for me. I had been considering Sure foot custom fit boots for awhile but Sam and his team introduced me to the Fischer Vacuum fit boots. They had explained the whole process to me and I still wasnt 100% sure because I had not heard of Fischer Vacuum boots before this point. I did quite a bit of research online and read a bunch of review that everyone loved the boots. Well...this past weekend I decided to go for it and get the works. Sam helped set me up with some custom insoles and a pair of the Fischer Vacuum Ranger 12 boots. He walked me through the whole fitting process and the science behind how the boots and the system works. He is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knows the product very well. The boots are so incredibly comfortable. I am about 5 weeks away from my first ski trip for the year and I cant wait to try these out for the first time. In the mean time I may just used the boots as some nice slippers around the house since they are so comfortable! Thanks again Sun Valley Sports!

This store is the greatest source of advice and any board sport related goods. Whether you ski, snowboard, wakeboard, water ski, skateboard, longboard, etc. Not only can you buy the best range of boards along with apparel and safety equipment, the staff is very knowledgable about everything they have, and if they dont have what you are interested in they will personally get it in stock. My friends and I have gone their for all our longboard and snowboard needs. They havent led us astray anytime and they will do their best to help you out as much as possible.

Very well informed, especially for being in the midwest. Bought my newest snowboard here, having purchased the previous ones while i lived in the east. Ive been snowboarding for the better part of 10 years. These guys know what they are talking about. Best thing is that they offer a large selection of boards from smaller higher quality manufacturers i.e. Never Summer, Libtech, Jones, Capita, etc. yes they have burton and others but they specialize in more finer crafted boards such as those previously mentioned.

Sun Valley Sports is a great place to shop for water and snow sports. I have been looking all over for a never summer snowboard and it was awesome to walk in and actually see the Raptor X that I have been looking at online. It was great to be able to see the real deal and not have to wonder what it really looks like online vs. in the store. I walked out of the store with a new Never Summer board and a good feeling that the staff there seems to know what they are talking about unlike some other local shops.

Sun Valley is by far the most legitimate ski shop in the Indianapolis area. Their customer service is great. Sam, the manager, is a great guy, knows his product, and is passionate about winter and summer sports. They will take care of all of your needs and go out of their way to satisfy their customers. I definitely recommend this place to any extreme sports enthusiast, especially skiers/snowboarders, looking for great product and great service.

Ive been going to Sun Valley for all of my sports apparel and gear for the past few years and its awesome! The Sun Valley crew really know how to help you find what youre looking if you cant find it amongst their immense inventory. They are very warm and friendly and are always holding sales and deals to help you get what you want for the best price possible! I cant imagine getting my gear anywhere else!

The Variety of their selection is GREAT. Sam and Krista are OUTSTANDING at asking the right questions, pairing that information with body specifics and presenting the PERFECT setup just for you. They also do a FANTASTIC job tuning, waxing, and repairing skis, and snowboards. Hands down, the best place to shop for your winter gear. Enjoy the season.

Sun Valley is my favorite shop for all of my longboarding, skateboarding, and snowboarding needs. I can always get wicked gear at a good price. The staff is very knowledgeable in all of the board sports. And the staff is very nice and helpful. The store also has some really awesome clothes and winter apparel at great prices.
