Absolutely lovely experience learning to dive from these instructors. Easy, fast certification (all done in only 2 days, first day 7am-2/3pm & second day 12:30pm-2pm) for those who are independent learners who can read the PADI textbook and come prepared to utilize the knowledge in the pool setting first then quarry setting later that same day. They made sure to always get us comfortable with each skill before moving on to the next one. Even going so far as pulling students aside so the rest of the class can move on to the next skill, while the the other student gets individualized attention. Instructors were very encouraging and never left you behind in the open water dives. The prices were exactly as described on the website & discounts were available if you signed up in pairs, if you take multiple certifications or if you bought equipment through his dive shop. They are patient with multiple questions thrown at them by nervous first-time scuba divers. They go through the textbook and explain all the answers in the tests at the end of each chapter. They encourage you to come back and dive with them any Saturday they are out doing certifications and even make group trips to better visibility quarries like Gilboa in Ohio about once a month. Learn to dive with best and gain a life long skill.

I received my open water certification from Bottoms Up Scuba Indy in June and went back this weekend with my son. It hasnt been easy to schedule my group of six including me, my husband, three adult children and one friend. Mike has been extremely accommodating and flexible. He also helped me select the right gear for our upcoming vacation dive -- taking travel and personal comfort into account. Mike and his staff provide a safe, helpful and caring learning environment. They also help reduce the stress that comes with learning to breathe under water! I am an "older" diver and as much as I embrace learning new things and having new adventures, when the moment arrives its a bit nerve racking. My brain just moves a wee bit slower -- this is another reason Bottoms Up was a good choice for us. They are very patient and helpful to those who need a little extra attention. For any family looking for a new adventure on their next tropical vacation, I suggest scuba diving and starting with Bottoms Up Scuba Indy!

What a blast! Mike and the other instructors did a great job of teaching us the fundamentals of scuba diving while making sure we had a fun time doing it. My wife and I came down for a weekend trip from Chicago to do the open water class, and were so happy we did. Our class was small and personal so we always had someone to help us along the way. All the instructors were fun and laid back which helped us get comfortable. Even if youre feeling nervous about the class, theyll make sure not to rush you and theyll give you the support you need to have a great weekend. Id definitely recommend Bottoms Up to my friends and might have to come back for some more classes. Now, off to Hawaii to swim with some manta rays! Thanks Mike!

Before I decided to go with Bottomsup for my Open Water lesson I was considering a few other providers but I tried calling a few times to get more information to no avail. On the opposite, Mike was very responsive and I like the fact that he actually followed up with me the next day when he realised I expressed interest but have not signed up for it. I cant really swim and to a certain extent Im not comfortable being in water where I cant stand with my feet but throughout the course, Mike and Luke helped me gained the comfort level I needed and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. Couldnt have done it without them! Good job!

Amazing!!! Mike is the best. Couldn`t be happier. I had no idea who to choose when looking for an instructor for my son. I loved the name "Bottoms Up" and when I spoke to Mike within minutes I knew I had made the right choice. He is professional his communication is great but above all he cares about his students. My son has dyslexia and Mike knew exactly how to teach him to scuba, Joe is now working on his Advanced Diving Certificate and he intends to stay with Mike until he has his Dive Master. I just got certified this past weekend with Bottoms Up Scuba! This is a great company if your looking to becoming Scuba certified. Mike the instructor is very patient and calming to all those that are nervous. The instructors are very knowledgeable and make it a great experience. They even let my husband whom is already certified do the dives with me which definitely helped calm my nerves! I look forward to getting some dive experience then we will both be returning to do the Advanced course! You wont regret becoming certified with Bottoms Up Scuba!!!

If youre thinking about doing scuba this is the place to learn. Im not a very strong swimmer nor have I ever been comfortable in water but Mike and his crew are great and walked me through every step of the learning process helping me build confidence and feel safe in the water. They were patient and informative and never once let me believe I couldnt do it. Very professional and personable service. I met Mike today, I arrived at the adress of the shop. I have been thinking about getting certified to dive for a few years and had every intention to find a class. Mike was super personable/downtown to earth and heven was not pushy like a few other dive shops i have been in are, this made me feel very comfortable with him! I cannot belive how luck I was to meet someone this knowledgeable and cannot wait to get to dive with him this weekend! Oh yeah did I mention that his pricing online are accurate and no hidden cost!

Very friendly, and VERY patient (which is exactly what I needed). Willing to work with you for however long it takes until you feel comfortable. Mike told me if it took 10 times in the pool for me to feel comfortable, that he would get in the pool with me 10 times! (luckily it didnt take that long) They organize lots of local trips, and also big trips out of town, just to help keep you active (and have fun) with scuba. Cant say enough good things about Bottoms Up Scuba Indy!
