Jareds is intentionally deceptive in their practices. My fiance and I went to look at engagement rings. We told them we just wanted to look for ideas and then I would make a final decision on my own to surprise her. I also told them I did not need/want to finance a ring. My fiance found a ring she thought looked nice and the sales associate pulled one diamond out and set it on top of the ring to visualize it. She went on and on about how great their diamonds were and how none of their diamonds had any fluorescence. She offered to set the ring so we could see how it would look if we would join the Jared club. I repeatedly asked if it was a credit card and she kept saying its a club card and there are no annual fees, but would not directly answer my question (I should have been more assertive knowing what I do now.) Anyhow, we agreed and a few days later I got a credit card in the mail congratulating me. This really upset me because I now have a credit card I dont want and a balance for the price of the ring and diamond though I never verbally agreed to purchase anything and the sales associate intentionally avoided my question about a credit card. (A few weeks later at the mall, a random jewelry store associate tried to get me to vote for them in a contest as I walked by the store. They wanted me to sign up for their club card. Again they avoided my questioning if this was a credit card. I refused but took a catalog, and found they sell the same trademark Leo diamonds as Jared). In any case I went right back and told them I was not going to purchase the ring and wanted the card cancelled immediately. I had to speak with a couple of different people, but they finally did cancel the entire transaction. Furthermore, the diamond report said our diamond had fluorescence, which wouldnt bother me, but my fiancee and I both recall the associate specifically stating their diamonds do not have any. When we went back we asked about this, and the lady we spoke with this time, said they would not have said that. So all in all, my experience was awful and I would stay away unless you know they have exactly what you want. Dont agree to let them set anything unless you want to get a Jared credit card.

My fiance and I had been several places shopping for bands. We are young, so many jewelry stores did not take us seriously (even though I had a 1CT solitaire on my finger youd think they would)... Anyway we went on Valentines Day before dinner just to look at bands. What we expected was an overpriced jewelry store who would treat us like a joke like others had. What actually happened is far beyond what our expectations could have ever been. We were greeted at the door and immediately asked our names and what we were shopping for, then she lead us to the counter and insured us that a consultant would be with us as quickly as possible. We waited less than 5 minutes and she was there to assist us. She was more than willing to show us nearly every band in the case that we requested to see before we decided that a custom band may be the best option. She lead us over to a catalog to look at rings that they carry but did not have in stock. We then told her that we had been considering what is called a halo head and asked what that would take and what the cost would be. She went back and got the diamond specialist to answer any questions we had. She surprisingly had the exact halo head that we needed in stock and told us it would take two to three days for her to have it complete. For the price it included the halo head, the labor, re-rhodium plating my ring, and steam cleaning my diamonds. I was impressed! We went to dinner and went home excited to see it, thinking that it wouldnt be until Wednesday, when it was Sunday at the time. They were closed Monday for Presidents Day, but yet when I called on Tuesday to see what time it would be done the next day, they informed me that she had finished it (in ONE day) and it was awaiting our arrival. We are so impressed with the work that the diamond specialist did. I have a carbon mark near the top edge of my diamond and she put the prong directly over it so that it is invisible now. That is true craftsmanship to have the care and sense to even think of that. We are still oogling over the ring and the customer service. I personally have found my jeweler and suggest going to Jared before anyone else.

Dishonest, sneaky.... just bad business. When my husband and I were talking about getting married we went in to numerous jewelry stores to get an idea of what kind of engagement rings are available. There are about 100 jewelry stores within a 10 mile radius of the Fashion Mall in Indianapolis. Jared was one of the stores we went into. There were two sales associates working with us. One middle aged woman who was attempting to be my friend and another 30-something guy who needed a dose of ritalin. He was talking so fast and trying to crack jokes with my husband in an attempt to befriend him. I found this simply annoying. I tried on a few rings and there was one that I kind of liked. We also found a pear shaped diamond that at fist glance seemed like a heck of a deal when broken down to price per carat. They asked Cameron for his contact information to check his credit. They gave us a pamphlet with information on Jared and sent us on our way. It wasnt until a week or two later that I was cleaning up the office that I took a minute to read the fine print on the pamphlet. THEY SOLD US THE RING AND DIAMOND without our knowledge! OUTRAGEOUS! Outrageous, unacceptable, unprofessional, dirty, I could go on and on! We went back and demanded a refund and spoke with the "store manager." We did get our money back and didnt get stuck with an unwanted ring. I cant imagine what would have happened if we hadnt noticed the fine print. I felt like we were completely taken advantage of. This angered me very much! A wedding engagement is supposed to be a time of excitement and love, not a time for betrayal and tricks. I would suggest to anyone to steer clear of any Jared and the clever duo that took advantage of us that day.

Could not be more disappointed with this store. My wife found her dream ring when we were looking to get engaged, and I was so happy to get her exactly what she were looking for. Fast forward 3 years - the diamond has come loose in her ring not once, not twice, not even thrice but four times now. Four separate occasions she has had to stop wearing it for significant periods of time due to this. The most recent trip to have the ring repaired yet again, they swore up and down they would do whatever they could to ensure it is resolved (including resetting it with a new head - not sure why that wasnt an option the first two times). My wifes mother picks the ring up today and it looks totally different than it did beforehand. She is devastated. She cannot have the ring I proposed to her with because of the shoddy, rushed craftsmanship of this store. I will actively recommend not only that all of my friends and family avoid this store but Jared in general. More than anything I am sad. This is supposed to be a symbol of the rest of our lives, and Jared sees it as nothing more than a frustrated customer they need to get out the door so they can make their next sale.
