I have been using this store as my eye care and contact lens provider for the last 3 years. They have always been great until this last time I purchased lenses. I was originally going to order only a few boxes of contact lenses before my prescription expired. My current prescription is still just as good as it was a year ago so I did not want to waste money on an eye exam that I knew I didnt need. I was still under a contract to have a certain % knocked off the price of the contacts, but the sales associate convinced me to take advantage of another promotion they were offering. He said if I ordered 8 boxes of contacts that I would be able to get a $55 rebate. I went ahead, ordered and paid for 8 boxes. He said it would be a week until they would arrive. A week later, I did not receive any notifications about the arrival of the contact lenses so I called them. They said "the lenses should be here any day, well give you a call when they arrive." I waited 3 days, still no calls. I called back and they said they would have to re-order them and they would put a rush on the shipment. They said, "should be here Wednesday." Wednesday came, still no calls. I called them back and they said to wait a few more days. I waited...still no calls. I called back and they said "yes, we have your contact lenses in now. We have 2 boxes here for you." I said, "there should be 8 boxes. "Ok, let me check in the back and see if we have more," the associate replied. The associate picked the phone back up, "yes, we have all 8 here for you now." "Ok, thank you. I will stop by to pick them up today." I arrived at the store and picked up the lenses and a mail-in form for the rebate. I read the details of the rebate form. It said, "you must order 8 boxes of lenses within 90 days of your last eye exam. Any fraudulent rebate submissions will result in federal prosectution." When I order the lenses, the associate knew my prescription was about to expire, but he did not tell me the details of the rebate I mentioned above. To sum things up, it took over 2 weeks for them to get my lenses when it was supposed to only take 1 week. They did not bother to call me to let me know they arrived. They talked me into buying more lenses than I was originally going to in order to get a $55 rebate that I wasnt even legally able to apply for. They knew my prescription was just about to expire, but I dont think they lied to me in order to rip me off. I think they just didnt have the proper knowledge about the rebate that they should have had. Someone should tell them to educate themselves about their promotional offers before offering them to people. In the end, more than a week of headaches over contact lenses and I spent more money than I should have because of THEM. Other than that they were nice, but I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

My husband and I have going to this location for almost 4 years now. Today was the first time I ever had an issue, but he has had a few at his appointments. However, Ill just focus on explaining the issues I ran into this week. I called to set up an appointment because I need new contacts and my prescription ran out in November 2016. The employee I spoke with could not pull up my information and was rude on the phone when she asked if I had ever been to their location. Because I have been going here once a year since 2012, I knew that my information should still be in the system. I was also told that their only appointments available were from 12:15 on, which was fine. When the employee confirmed my appointment time, she said 11:15 and I asked if that was available or if she misspoke. 11:15 was available and I was frustrated that the employee was not honest about the times I could come in, but assumed this was just an honest mistake. I came in for my appointment early because I was told I needed to fill out paperwork and give them my insurance card, even though my insurance has not changed since last year. After waiting for approximately 20 minutes, the assistant manager said that I was not listed under the insurance at all and only my husbands information was showing up. Rather than call the number for providers, she gave me back the card and did not try to do anything else to assist me. I called my insurance and spoke with a representative who explained that my vision is listed under medical, instead of separately. My husband also spoke with his employer during this time who also confirmed that I am on the insurance. When I came back into the store, I waited almost 25 minutes to speak with the assistant manager because she was working with another customer. The eye doctor was sitting at the desk for most of this time and would not work with me because she said she couldnt do anything with the insurance. This may be true, but I had to wait an excessively long time when I had been in the store for almost an hour at this point. During this time, the eye doctor took another patient back who had been waiting less than 5 minutes. When the assistant manager finally came to talk to me, I explained what my insurance company had shared. She refused to look anything up again until I told her the insurance company said she could call their provider number if she was still having a problem looking me up. I said that my husband and I will no longer going to use their store and she finally said she would call them since I was already here. That is what should have been done when she originally said there was a problem, but she did not even consider it as an option. I know this is a low budget store, but that does not mean their customer service should be this poor.

I went to Eyeglass World to get a pair of sunglasses and a pair of glasses. It shouldve been simple; I have a stock lens prescription, and yet I had to go in 4 times. The first time was fine, Clinton is the only good person who works there and I was fortunate enough to have him. The second time I went to pick up my glasses and they didnt look right. Ive had glasses for 7 years and not once have I ever gone in to pick up my glasses and have them be wrong until now. They told me it was nothing and I should just adjust to them. The new pair of glasses gave me a huge migraine so obviously I went back and said I needed them fixed. Their initial idea is that their was something wrong with me, so they made me wait an hour for an eye exam only to find out that the prescription I gave them was the same and I was not in the wrong. I most definitely did not pay the $40 for the useless exam. They were in the wrong because they "cut the lenses incorrectly". So i had to leave and come back again to get the "fixed" glasses, but they werent they were the exact same and yet again they said no youll adjust to them. The next day I went in and tried to get a refund for the lenses so I could just have Walmart make them, because WALMART does a better job than Eyeglass World. They wouldnt refund the $40 dollar lenses even though I was only taking the frames and then they took my new prescription that they forced upon me with the exam probably because I didnt pay for it. So when I went to Walmart they said my old prescription was expired and I needed a knew one, but I didnt have the Eyeglass World one because they took it back! I called to have it faxed over and an employee said I would have to wait because he had 4 or 5 patients and it would be awhile. I had to mosey around Walmart until they sent it over and I ended up paying $70 out of pocket for a new set of lenses for the frames. I have never in my entire life had my patience stretched this thin. I wouldnt wish Eyeglass World upon my worst enemy. If I could give them a 0/5, I most definitely would.
