I USE TO have great amounts of respect for Nightstalkers. I breed rats and frequently when I would have some left would gladly take the extras in to them. Today I went in to get a new female(I like to get them as babies to socialize with them)as well as a decent sized feeder for my ball python and they had a tank with the only three baby females up front labeled "Pet Rats" well, since I was looking for specifically female I took two home with me. It wasnt so much that the feeder I got as a "Medium" was literally just a hair bigger then a weanling(mind you the prices go from 3.99, 4.99, 5.99, ext, ect, up to 12.99, which I paid 6.99) that pissed me off, it was the fact that when I got home I realize that one of those "Pet Rats" has a broken leg and the other is so skinny from being weaned WAY to soon that Im having to surrogate supplement her so she will hopefully gain weight and survive. Why not return them both you ask? Lets see, we are talking about a REPTILE store, so what would happen to these two if returned? Thats right, snake bait. Why not contact them and see what happens? Simple, according to most "Feed" store.... "its just a rat". On top of that I was told that these were the only females they had so what would be the chances of getting another two? I would not recommend going here for anything other then pet reptiles and amphibians and possibly fish. When it comes to small animal care pet wise it seems to be lacking. The rats dont even know how to use water bottles(they use bowls) and Feeder wise, I know choices are limited here in Anderson but I would much rather switch to F/T if it means not getting boned by a store who call weanlings medium sized rats.

Ive always loved this place. I grew up going here. The people working there have always been nice but Ive recently been advised by them on 2 separate matters that I found to be a little disturbing. 1. To turn out my Florida native turtle into the woods (weve had this turtle since it was a baby, an impulse buy in a souvenir store in Daytona). Weve had him for several years and his size has become an issue. Over the years weve considered trying to find him a new and safe home. I thought of Night Stalkers but when I called they said to turn him loose this spring and hed be fine. Very inaccurate information. If it were true I would have done it already. He would in fact die in the winter, IF he were able to maintain basic survival skills after being raised in captivity. I was surprised with their response, as I told the lady he was not native to Indiana. I also recently purchased a cat from them, who ended up very sick with bad diarrhea a couple days later (probably not their fault) but when I called to ask if any of the other kittens were sick I was advised to give her Pepto Bismol, which I quickly looked up online to find is toxic to cats, due to the aspirin content. Now, they advised a very small dose but its still toxic to cats, and I would assume itd be VERY toxic to a dehydrated 10 week old kitten. : / My only qualm is that these folks should not be so quick to hand out advise, as its often wrong and could actually be hurtful to your animal if someone doesnt know better than to check the accuracy of the information.

Recently rescued a 5 year old bearded dragon and had no experience with reptiles. I went to Petsmart and the girl told me she didnt know very much about them. She suggested I go here. I walked in and was very pleased with the service I received. These people know a lot about reptiles and pets. They helped me get my beardy into a proper diet, bigger cage, and happier. They are always willing to answer my questions no matter how silly they mat seem and their feeder insects are SUPER cheap. I love walking in and them remembering me and what I have. They must be doing something right because IZOD, one of their pets, is 27 years old. My beardy has perked up since I got their help. Glad I found them and I love going to them.

I recently was on the hunt for a pet bearded dragon. So decided to try Night Stalkers. They had many and they were the best looking bearded dragons that I had seen even in past years. The staff was very knowledgeable about the animal as well as many other animals. They showed me everything that I needed to take care of the animal and had it all there to purchase. They were very friendly and were willing to take an hour out of there day to explain everything that went into taking care of a bearded dragon. I have never experienced help like that in any other store that I have ever went into. I would definitely go back to that store in the future, for all of my pet needs.

Belligerent, unprofessional, rude, and petty—and thats just how they treat people! No, no, no! My mom & I are in the market to buy her a small dog for companionship and after visiting four shelters that had no small dogs we decided to look into shopping at a pet store. After discovering how antagonistically Night Stalkers responds to concerns and how they defend negligence of their animals (like saying how "Happy" their huge alligator is living in a teeny-tiny pool), weve decided to look elsewhere.

Went there for the first time and was brought to tears. The puppies had no food or water in their cages and slept on wooden chips in a small crate. The smaller mammals basic care needs were not met besides just a cage and maybe an exexcise wheel. Also, the large (30yr old) alligator/crocodile was living in a cage that was only big enough for it to turn around in. The cages were clean (Ill give them that) but basic needs were absent. You guys should be ashamed. NEVER AGAIN!

There is a hand written sign on the bulletin board in the store stating that anyone who says anything negative about this crappy hole in the wall pet store will be sued for slander. So Im gonna call the bluff. Perhaps if she (the owner) ran a business more professionally (she used this page to call someone a "f*cktard") she wouldnt have to worry about people leaving negative reviews online. So I guess Ill see you in court for this obviously slanderous review.

I went looking for new fish. I told the man working that I had a cichlid and wanted a species that would be ok with it but I didnt want anymore cichlids. He spent half an hour listing fish that would be good. 1 type was just labelled Texas and he sold me 2 of them. He failed to mention they were cichlids when I explicitly told him I didnt want cichlids. I only found out they were cichlids after searching for a pic online.

I will shop no other place but here everywhere else is too expensive theyve always had the answers to my questions and have always been there for me and any problem Ive ever had for my aquarium fish I hadnt had a clue about how to take care of fish so I never really decided to get an aquarium until I talk to them now I have a 75 gallon tank and a 55 gallon tank you will get addicted very quickly but its worth it
