So today is a very disappointing day. Target is my go to store for literally everything. Today Sunday April 17 I walked into the South Elgin location with my mother and my daughter with all intentions of dropping a lot of money since my daughter is growing and needs a whole new wardrobe. Needless to say we both filled out carts with clothes for her and ourselves, toys and other miscellaneous things. Went in line to pay and got to the cashier who always asks " Would you like to sign up for a red card?" When I declined the offer to sign up he proceeds to say that i did not like to spend money that I would rather pay full price. Look i get you save 5% with the red card but I am not a big fan of credit cards and I do not like how the debit card take 3 days before they even take the money from your bank account. Been there done that. I dont like it and i explained why i didnt want a red card for him to drop the subject. Then he started telling me well thats awesome you dont want a red card. I cant believe you just wont sign up for a red card. youll save money like 5% with a red card. its ridiculous that you would spend full price and not even get a red card. Thats really awesome that you wont sign up. with a nasty tone. then turns to look at my mother and says " so im assuming youre like her and arent going to get the red card" and my mother turned to him and said no then he proceeds to tell her the same things with an attitude and belittling us for not getting a red card. so naturally i start walking to a different cashier for them to call a manager because i was not going to tolorate being talked down to. whether i am spending $2.00 or $200.00 i am a customer and because i am not signing up for your red card doesnt mean i get treated differently. so the manager comes over there and i am trying to explain what happened as hes whispering something in her ear and my mother chimes in to tell her that he also made comments to her which made the "manager" snap on my mother accusing her of lying and proceeds to tell my mother that he is the best employee that they have in the store. which is false because i always go to this location and never have been talked to like that, anyways, so i jumped in and told her that it was okay that he talked to her customers like that who are trying to purchase items? and proceeds to tell me that what we had told her was hard to believe and of course my mother told the manager that he was being an a$$ because we didnt get that card and she again attacks my mother so we leave all the stuff there and never made a purchase and ended up going to a different store that wasnt target to make our purchases. did i mention as we are walking away the "manager" Jess Hernandez was laughing at us bc apparently it was funny to her. the worse customer service i have ever experienced and from my favorite store as well. needless to say i will never be back to that location. and i will tell everyone i know and dont know that that location is not what they might expect. its really sad that this location has lost not only me and my mother but our family and friends. all over a red card. they need to look and their managers and teach them how to handle situations with customers. i will shop at target ( different location ) but now that will not be my go to. that will be my 4th option when i cant seem to find what im looking for at other stores that i will not frequent rather then there.

What a great experience at this Target location. I was shopping for a 5yr olds birthday gift, after about an hour of pacing back and forth through all the toy isles, I finally landed on what I thought my daughter would like. As I proceeded to cash out I had some kind words with the cashiers Ellie and Winter, they saw I had wrapping paper and a toy and we continued on with our small talk on who the gift was for. After I told them who the gift was for they both offered to wrap my daughter gift and I absolutely took advantage of it since Im a typical guy and my gift wrapping skills arent the greatest. This is probably the most pleasant experience Ive ever had at any retail store in my life.

The checkouts were a little slow but eventually they opened up a few lanes. Overall it wasnt a deal breaker. What I wanted was in stock and it wasnt busy. They guy in electronics was knowledgeable and helped me pick out the game system I was looking for. They even let me know that it was on sale plus an online coupon could be used so I ended up saving a ton on it!

The store was generally pretty clean and well stocked for what we went in for. The five star rating is because of the excellent service and care that was provided from the cashier. Nick if youre reading this I hope you know that youre an inspiration to all of us, and Target should be thrilled to have such an outstanding employee.

Used to live closer, so now I dont visit as often. I would shop at this Target location about 3-4 times a week for a few years. Its down to about once a week as its now a further drive. Still the best for service and selection, always great pricing.

bakery is awesome. Women are so nice there and pay extra attention to detail. Very impressed every time and I have gotten many cakes from there. People always ask where they are from and when I say Target they are surprised! very happy

if i could id give it 4.5 stars but thats ok! i love buying makeup here, i feel like they have the best brands (NYX, sonia kashuk...) compared to other stores. i love buying food and video games here too, but the clothes are overpriced.

Nick and jennifer were extremely rude and disrespectful. Calling multiple customers including myself names and profanity. Horrible staff and customer service. Never spending a dollar there again!

This target store is nice and clean, and while everyone was courteous, our cashier seemed a little more interested in chit-chatting then moving customers through the line efficiently.

This Target is Bae, it really doesnt need a review, its just simply excellent. Staple of the South Elgin and Saint Charles area, this is the primary store everyone shops at.

I have called this store 6 times and when it tries transferring it disconnects the call!!! I have tried every department! It would be great if they could answer their phone!!

Not the best prices and bad customer service. I find it funny how rude the employees become once you tell them you arent interested in a Target credit card account.

Properly maintained and neatly organized. Friendly staff. I went there during thanksgiving to get an iPhone and the staff helped every one very well.
