One star is even to much to rate the experience I just went thru.. First of all I was sent bye a Manger to geek quad to help fix my computer, but all the staff was very rude and unwilling to help out and was not very respectable to the customer whom as bought many product for the store. EVER here that that costumer IS always right.... it was the worst experience Ive ever had, not to mention they had no intention of helping me out with my computer.. I DONT NOT RECOMMENDED ANY TO USE GEEK QUAD or even step foot in the Oswego best buy to purchase anything... they wound up calling the police and odered a restraing order against me that Im not longer welcome in the store every again which if fine after I was treated by the employees of geek quad, who names were a couple paragraphs down, thats was unsatisfactory to customers who have bought many items from the store. I will be contacting the bbb bureau in regards to the way I was treated and being a loyal customer.... I will never step foot in that store again unless all employees are let go, they have no right and my attorney Wil be contacting the store immediately, for the way I was treated. And to call the cops was uncalled for which I also filled a complaint myself.. the names of the people who Im referring are geak squad employees and the names are as followed, Collen,Brittany,and mark... Im am expecting a call very soon from the district Manger. Not to mention the BBB will be notified regarding everything that happened while I was in the store and treated like a pos. They have no right to be working there and I will make it my goal that this will never happen again and these employees should be fired after th ordeal I went through... so much for customers service.. I no more than all of them combined when it referres fixing computers and customer service and I would be better suited for the position they hold. Either way I will be expecting the call from the manager to dicuss this further before my attorney gets involved, and I hope you people are happy with you self as I will be boycotting best buy in oswego until my call is returned.. Bbb bureau will be getting back to me soon and I hope your happy on they way you handled the situation, but it wont last long

I went into Geek Squad to receive assistance after my Macbook Pro wouldnt turn on (it would only beep three times). As soon as I arrived, the staff had to Google search what was wrong with my computer--although I told them I had already searched the problem and it was potentially the RAM or Logic Board that had failed or malfunctioned. After about 3 minutes of "service," I was told that it was the logic board that was broken and I should simply purchase a new laptop. I told them this was out of my budget and asked if there was anything Geek Squad could do to fix it, they said they would have to send it away for repairs to find out--but that there was no fixing the computer and Apple would tell me the same. When I went to the Apple store in Naperville the following day, I walked out of the store in 10 minutes with a fixed laptop--it was simply one of the memory cards that had failed, and after its removal my Macbook works brand new. I do not appreciate the rude and insincere service I received from Geek Squad, they spent not even 5 minutes attempting to solve my problem and immediately began pushing me to purchase a brand new computer which wasnt even necessary. I do NOT recommend going here for quality customer service, I walked out of Best Buy distraught and panicked because I feared I would have to buy a new computer when in fact this was the furthest thing from the truth. If you are claiming to be specialists in technology, the least you could do is provide your loyal customers with quality care instead of trying to make a sale. Inappropriate, unprofessional and overall a terrible experience for me. Im very glad that I didnt take their word for it and instead took it to Apple where I received the assistance I needed (and should have gotten in the first place).

I have been shopping at the Oswego Il Best Buy since the store opened. I am a Loyal Platinum customer. I have bought all of my 7 flat screen tvs as well as my home theatre and all electronics exclusively at Best Buy. I am writing to you about a recent incident at this particular store. I placed an order for a 42 inch Visio Smart Tv. I was told the order would arrive on 4/2/15. I went to the store at 6 15 pm on the 2nd. The associate at the store informed me that the truck had not shown up and that it should have arrived at 3pm. She then informed me that even if it showed up I could not get the tv that night. After informing her that I needed something now she said that if I wanted someone could help me find another tv. I went to talk to an associate in the tv section. I explained my situation and told him I needed a tv tonight. I found a tv Samsung model UN4046203AFXZA this tv was 444.99. The Vizio tv model M4221-I-BI WAS 429.99. This associate said he would talk to a manager and see if he could price match the tv. When he came back he explained that because it was a different brand the manager said no. I told the associate I can not believe that for 15 dollars Best Buy is losing a loyal lifetime customer. He was a very rude, ignorant associate and replied sorry thats how it is. I feel so hurt and betrayed. After the 10s of thousands of dollars I have spent and the great recommendations I have given to people over the years to shop at Best Buy, this is a slap in the face. I left the store and purchased a tv at SAMs Club.

This is my local best buy. I went there about a month ago looking for something specific, that it said was in stock online, animal crossing amiibo cards. When I got there several employees were quick to ask me if I needed help. When I finally gave up my pride and asked for help finding my item the person couldnt find it on the floor. He told me we was going to check in the back. When he came back he said he looked on their computer and that they didnt have it and that no other stores in the area did either. The next day I went to the best buy off of East New York street and they had multiple of the item I was looking for and the employee who helped me said that they had them in stock for months. Im not sure if the employee at the best buy in Oswego actually looked because this store obviously had some and it was within a couple of miles of their location. Im not mad, Im just disappointed because this was my best buy of choice before and I dont usually like asking for help but the one time I do it turns into a sour experience.

The worst customer service experienced to date. Purchased PS4 for my sons B-day and decided to return the video game after 18 days from the original purchase date as my son decided he wanted an IPad. Did not realize best buy return policy changed to 15 days. Although I was just 3 days outside of the return policy with an unopened PS4, manager would not allow me to exchange the PS4. After the manager and I had some words about the absurd policy, manager attempted to kick me out of the store and called the police. Customer service experience is horrible. Will never patronize this store again and considering withdrawing my business from best buy as a whole. My experience with the absence of acceptable customer service appears to be a common theme at this store, which management (i.e., District / Region) has failed to address the matter.
