I wish I could give zero star. (4/15/2017) Tom at Honda let me know after the replacement of the radiator, timing belt and water pump etc., was done that my washer tank was leaking. The tech said there was washer liquid dripping from plastic washer tank before he started repairing the radiator...then, he used a screw to temporarily fix the leak without any notice. Here I really do not understand why they used a penny size screw to block the leak. My car usually has been parked in my garage so if there was any drip, I would have noticed right away. Is it a common sense to insert a screw to stop dripping from a plastic washer tank? It made a bigger hole and ended up leaking more. A simple taping could have made a temp fix. They just recommended me a replacement of the tank ($155 part, 0.5 hr labor) when I picked up my car. I have a good reason to believe that the tank may have been damaged by the technician. (4/16/2017) on Sunday I drove the car today but the engine temperature gage is still fluctuating and my car is not repaired yet. The shop told me even I asked to check thermostat and coolant sensor, the radiator had to be replaced and timing belt and water pump be replaced as well. They charged me $1,912 for repairing and told me "if problem coming back, come again." Now I am scared what parts they recommend to be replaced and how much they are charging to resolve this engine temp. gage fluctuation. Before coming to this shop, the car was checked at Midas Repair shop on Thursday (4/13/2017) and Midas said no leaks in radiator based on pressure test. But, I needed this car on Sunday for my family trip so I dropped my car to the honda shop to fix but they messed up my trip. (4/17/2017)(4/18/2017) Now, additional repair estimation is $3,100+tax for head gasket replacement and cylinder head re-machining after fixing radiator, timing belt, water pump. two hrs driving But, my car has a bigger problem and is not drivable now. If dealer said $5,000 for repair upfront, I would not invest $1,912 to fix the car. This shop did not listen customers requests to replace thermostat and check sensors. It was my mistake to stop by this dealership to fix my car. NOT recommend this shop at all to any Orland Park or Tinley Park residents. Oil changes might be fine. [Added 4/19/2017. I remembered even oil changes may not be allowed in this service center. Three years ago, they didnt close the engine oil lid completely, the engine oil was spreaded out over the engine room of my old cr-v. Came back and complained to the shop, they cleaned it up with high pressure water hose and gave me one free oil change coupon. Then, a few month later, I had to trade it to new cr-v due to fuel injection problems.] I should have read the review before coming to this shop as someone said below, "I believe they have totally dishonest, manipulative service practices at this dealership." I totally agree to this statement.

I am beyond frustrated. In March 2016 I received a recall letter stating that the drivers side air bag needed to be replaced because if it deploys, it may contain small pieces of metal that have been known to KILL people! So when I called about getting this fixed I was told the part would not be in until SUMMER. So I guess I was supposed to just hope I was not in an accident and the air bag kill me. When summer arrived, I called them again. The part was in! But only the passenger side. NOT the driver side. So I had this done in July. Finally in late October 2016, I get a phone call from the Honda dealer and they now have the drivers side part in! Hooray!! So I make an appointment to have that FINALLY taken care of along with checking my muffler since it had been making a lot of noise. My appointment was scheduled for Friday, November 11th. So I drove my 2007 Honda CRV to the dealership Thursday night so leave it so they could get started on it first thing in the morning. Friday afternoon I got a phone call from Randall Rucka to go over the diagnosis and how much it would cost. As we were going over the cost of each item, I specifically told him I did NOT want new $88 wiper blades after all since the muffler / exhaust was going to cost $869. I agreed to the brake system flush, filter replacement and tire rotation. At 7:06pm that evening I called Randall to see if the car was done. It was and had been for some time. He said "I havent had a chance to do the paperwork its been so busy around here. I will have it ready in about 20 minutes." So I said I would come in at 7:30pm to get the car. When I arrived, the car was still NOT ready. The paperwork was still not done. Randall told me "we were four guys short tonight". So after waiting another 20-30 minutes, we went over the invoice and how much I owed. As we were going over the items, I noticed the wiper blades were replaced. Even though I had told him over the phone I did NOT want that done. There it was. $88.36. He said "I must have forgot to tell them." But did it get removed from my bill? No. I should have made more of a fuss. But wait, theres more. So I pay my bill of $1338.68 at 8:12pm and when I get out to my car...the check engine light is on. I walk back in and tell Randall. He gets a mechanic to pull the car back in and look into it. So now I am waiting again. I am waiting another 40 minutes only to be told that it has something to do with the fact that since they replaced my exhaust this sensor is now malfunctioning or something like that. I ask Randall if my car is safe to drive. He says "It should be. Call us when you want to get it fixed." I ask how much it will cost and he says around $245 - $300. This is not the first time I have had work done on my car at this Honda dealer and left feeling frustrated, overcharged and just plain ripped-off. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

The place is not very professional and courteous. In my experience, your chances of buying a good used car from this dealer with confidence will be low. I went in there to see (and buy) a pre-owned 2014 Honda Accord for my sister on 20 June 2016. First of all, the reception desk was vacant. I waited and met with the sales person Mr. Vang (or Wang?) and explained my requirements. I went there prepared and already had a shortlist of cars from their lot handy. I asked him to show the cars on their computer system. He (kinda) explained the details of the cars. All the time, he was in a hurry to get done with us and move on to something else. His explaining was too hasty and short and a normal buyer would never understand much of it.I asked him to get a summary print of the shortlisted cars which he was very hesitant to do. Finally, he did a low quality black/white print of the internet summary listing with just the price, VIN and stock number - that too for just one car. I told him that I was not done looking and asked to get the printed details of the second shortlisted car also. Very hesitantly, he did it. On request, he showed us the first car in the list, but all the time, he was pushing us to buy a new car. The car was not as good as i expected. It was kept in as is condition. No cleaning/detailing was done. Dirty interior and exterior. Tires were mix and matched with different brands and tread wear. A lot of scratches and dings on the outer body. There was a major scratch on the front bumper cover. The agent said that they will do "what they can", but the scratch will still be visible just as much as it is now. (Another way of saying they will do nothing). He added that the second car on the list will have even more damages and we will not like it. Finally, he persuaded again to buy a new car. We declined to buy anything from there and left. So much about my personal experience. About their certification program. Community Honda certifies only used cars of the current model-year. Means, in 2016, they will certify only 2016 model cars..! If the customer wants a particular car certified by them, it will cost extra...! So, a perfectly good 2014 or 2015 model car which is still under the original manufacturers warranty will not be certified by them normally. Usually thats not the case with good car dealers. If a car is still under original bumper-bumper warranty, most of the dealers will certify them (usually with no additional cost) to attract buyers. At community Honda, if a customer wants a car certified upon request, the dealers motive will be to make it pass the certification somehow. This will seriously affect the quality and honesty of the Honda certification program. (I have experience buying 4 Honda vehicles from different Honda dealerships in the last 8 years)
