Everything was fine untill..... I had made a quick transaction with Dan Deleon @ Apple Chevy. I was there made a deal, all was happy I left a 500.00 deposit. & was told to pick up my car next day. He said it would be fueled up, washed, smal trunk piece fixed and all ready to go. I showed up next day to find all was just as he said. However with no gas in the car, I thought no big deal. We signed all the paperwork and I was handed my keys. On my way out Dan handed me 500.00 and said I over paid for the car, and they owed me 500.00. I had assured him I gave the right amount but they were adiment that I had over paid. I left and was very happy with my new CTS. few weeks later I get a email from Dan saying they needed my 500.00 back??? Random, I just ignored and figured it must be an oversight on there end, and for sure nobody would ever call after deal is done, and ask for more money... Sure enough, went to get my plates and they WILL NOT RELEASE MY TITLE UNTILL I PAY Another 500.00. I involved Ken in Finance to fix this without lawyers involved. He assured me he would overnight me another 30 day temp plate. Then next day I get a call again from Ken saying they will not do anything for me regarding the 500.00, furthermore I am driving around with an expired plate.. He simply does not care and wants the 500.00. In todays day and age, who asks and expects 500.00 after everything is signed and done. This is so shady I dont know what to do. What proof does the dealer have that they gave me it back due to overpayment... I feel like Im getting shafted. You would think a dealer wouldnt want a customer (cash) driving on expired plates...for 500.00 who would let a customer be treated this way.... BTW, they also advertised a gas gift card with a test drive.. NOPE didnt get that either. No gift card, No full tank after purchase, and now you want another 500.00 from me...COME ON????? DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!!

On Saturday March 11th, 2016 my Cadillac broke down while my wife and I were out of town about 2 miles from the dealership. We were stranded in an unknown town. We looked up several shops on Google and decided to call Apple while waiting for the tow truck. The person in service that we spoke with was very friendly and professional and we felt confident in choosing Apple for service. We dropped off the car hoping to experience the same service as on the phone. We walked by 2 employees who watched us get out of the tow truck then into the dealership and were not even welcomed by a sales or service person (2 sitting alone at desks by the door). My wife had to wander around to even find the restroom. We were also surprised that the only option anyone could offer to get us to a rental, or back to our hotel was to call Uber. On Monday Jim called to tell me that he would not be able to look at the car until possibly Tuesday. I received a call back on Wednesday to tell me the problem with my car was the front carrier assembly and would cost $4,000 to repair. That was an astronomical figure to me so I called local dealership and repair shops to compare. According to my research I felt that Apple Chevrolet was taking advantage of an out of town customer with little options. I decided to come an tow the car back to Grand Rapids and find a reputable local shop to do the repair. I brought the car to a local transmission shop and was told the problem was not the carrier assembly but the transfer case and would cost $1,500 - $2,000. Affirming my feelings that Apple Chevrolet was taking advantage of an out of town customer with little to no options with a broken down car trying to make a buck.

I brought my truck in with a aftermarket warranty. The issue was misdiagnosed followed by my warranty company not covering the issue and refunding my premiums. After i approved the new lifters push rods and rockers and the top end was rebuilt the issues persisted. I lost my warranty due to the misdiagnosis, Apple then checked the flywheel for cracks and did not find any. They then proceeded to remove the engine from the truck and found the issue to be bad main and rod bearings. the truck was rebuilt again and the dealer was nice enough to install the after market oil pickup and baffles to correct the issue from happening again. I picked up the truck and was told to be easy on it while the new part break in. I then noticed the AC did not blow cold. I Brought the truck back. there were bad seals at the pump and the dealer fixed at no cost. I had made mention that the transmission was now slipping and for them to check on that. That got lost in translation on the revisit for the AC. and did not get looked at. I check the trans fluid when I got home per Chevrolets procedure and it was 2.25 qts low. I replaced the missing fluid and notified the service writer via voice mail with no response. The truck seems to be running good now. I know there were some mistakes made on the diagnosing of the internal motor issue but missing trans fluid and Freon seems like proper procedure needs to be reiterated. if i did not fix this myself after spending 5k with the dealer my trans would have burnt up and im sure it would have been blamed on me. I believe if the issue was diagnosed properly my after market warranty would have covered it at a $100 deductible. So much for not having payments!

I own a 2009 Saturn Aura. After Saturns demise, Apple Chevy became my service dealer. I was skeptical at first, thinking I wouldnt get the same treatment because I didnt purchase my car there, plus it was a Saturn. I couldnt have been more wrong. Marie, who set up my appointments, is always very courteous and makes sure she understands what the problem is before scheduling my appointment. Ive dealt with Jim Laas on several occasions now and have been very pleased each time. He genuinely wants to be sure everything is done to my satisfaction and, if it isnt, he goes the extra mile to be sure it gets done. I had some work done on the console and on the sunroof and went to pick up the car 15 mintues before he was due to be off shift. When I closed the drivers side door, I heard a rattling noise coming from under the hood on the drivers side and went back in. He went out in the parking lot with me and said hed figure it out even if we had to open and close the door 40 times. He figured it out after 2. The casing over the battery was loose so he went in and got some double-sided tape, stuck it on there, and voila! I havent had a problem since. With that said, heres what impressed me the most: While I waited, he had several phone calls from customers. He treated each and every one with the same courtesy and professionalism with which I was treated. (Sorry to be caught eavesdropping here.) I can tell he goes the extra mile with all his customers. When I need service again, I will definitely ask for Jim Laas. Thanks so much! - Sandy Joy
