I had a regular jeweler I took my repairs that was a little far from my house because I am very picky with my jewelry and also on a budget. I had something that had to be done quickly and found James and Sons gold and Diamond exchange in Olympia Fields in the phone book and thought I would give them a try because I didnt have time to travel to my regular jeweler. This was several months ago and I have now gone back to them well over a dozen times. I will never go anywhere else again for my jewelry repair! I am so glad I have found them. They do great work and their pricing is great. I wear a LOT of jewelry and do not take it off often and I am very active so I do have a lot of stuff break and I have gotten to know the people at J & S. Everyone there is very friendly and greets you when you come in, but I deal with Roberto Giovanni and cannot say enough good things about this man that I have been lucky enough to meet on that one first day. Roberto honestly CARES about his customers and goes out of his way to make them happy. My most recent transaction was to bring in a ring that I lost and then found in the driveway that had been run over so it was smashed beyond recognition, I was heartbroken because it meant a lot to me and didnt have much hope for it to be possible to fix anywhere. I gave it to them with another one of my repairs, not expecting much, but they were able to fix it, and fix it beautifully. Hector, their repairman is very talented and did such a wonderful job. I trust him so much that I am going to have him work on a charm bracelet that I have been collecting charms for a while for Christmas. Roberto also gave me a price that no place in the world could have matched because I was now a regular customer, I was speechless and so happy because right now I am dealing with my mother and her cancer and was expecting to have to make payments! But all of the pricing there is very good - beyond fair and I now have a new jewelry place to take my broken jewelry to for life. You cannot go wrong at James and Sons, especially with Roberto who is sincerely a great guy who really cares, you can tell he is passionate about helping people, I have watched him be that way to anyone that walks through the door. I am so happy that I now know about them and never go out of my way to write a review (I am too busy) but really felt like this was important to me to do one now. I want to share with everyone what a great business they are. They have a loyal customer for life with me!!! I can honestly tell you to trust them with your most treasured jewelry and they will do a great job and you will feel the care in the atmosphere!! They also have a nice store with lots of deals - the pricing is very good. So glad to have found James and Sons Gold and Diamond Exchange on Vollmer in Olympia Fields!!! Today was my first time visiting J & S Gold and Diamond Exchange and it was a GREAT experience from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. I had some jewelry that I wanted to sell, but was unsure of where to go. I had passed by a few times and thought it more like a store and not just a pawn shop. I have heard so many horror stories about people trying to sell merchandise and had bad experiences at pawn shops. Roberto Giovanni, the Manager, as well as another employee greeted me when I walked in. Roberto was so friendly and pleasant and made me feel at ease upon entering the store. He looked over each of my pieces of jewelry and then weighed to give me the value. I had the jewelry so long that I wasnt sure what any of it was worth, but it turned out to be worth far more than I expected. I highly recommend J & S Gold and Diamond Exchange because you will get a honest and fair deal. I definitely will go back whether I want to sell something or buy something.

Not only did I THINK I got ripped off on my Xbox one which I got 110 for, and that was with the Kinect and the controller also, but when I went to sell my 1,200$ camera there I KNEW for sure I got ripped off before, because I was offered 60$ for something I was able to sell for almost 800$ on my own. How can an Xbox be worth almost 400 and I got 110 for it, yet something worth 1,200 and still is worth that much, I was offered 60$ for? And they are super sexist. If a girl walks in they make you go to the girl, because they somehow think that will help them get better prices. And the girls there are all just trying to prove themselves and yet they cant even make a sale because they have no clue what they are doing, and act super rude when they know they are ripping you off. I swear the reviews on this place saying its good must be a lie, because it most definitely isnt.

Exceptional service! Today was my first time doing business with J &S Gold & Diamond Exchange. I must admit I was a little nervous and a bite hesitant. I was fearful of being cheated or taken advantage of. When I first walked into the establishment, I was promptly greeted. Then I sat down with Daniel, and I instantly knew I had come to the right place. All of my fears went straight out the window. My over all experience was awesome. Whether youre in the market for buying or selling, you can trust that Daniel will be offered you the best and a very fair price. I highly recommend J&S. You will not be dissappointed. Always polite and professional service at J&S in Olympia Fields. Got a great deal on my wifes very unique engagement ring here. I then returned to find a tungsten wedding band for myself, and see if they could custom make a wedding band to fit her engagement ring, which they happily did for me. Her rings fit together perfectly and look exquisite; she get compliments on them all the time. She stops in occasionally for complimentary polishing/cleaning of the rings and diamonds. I had an issue with my tungsten ring, which is made by Triton, and carries a lifetime warranty. I stopped in and showed Roberto my issue, and he ordered me a replacement without question. I was notified when the new ring came in and they swapped it out. It couldnt have been any simpler. Two thumbs way up for this place.

There is a bass guitar posted on their web site for 375. it is an Ibanez Srx520ex1. How ever it is listed on reverb and eBay for 519 plus shipping. I know adds cost money guys but thats not suppose to be passed on to the buyer. That bass is worth about 375 from what I have seen them sell for in the past. I own the rgr521ex1 and 2 and paid about that each for them as well. I was trying to get this final piece for my collection. Is it a rare bass yes, but not an expensive one. I feel like you are gouging because you know that about them. He said it was a "mistake in price by the girl that worked there" sounds like you had to add in the cost you spent advertising it... Not cool man, not cool.
