The Book Table is my FAVORITE book store in the suburbs near where I live! I always enjoy coming here to browse the books and other cutesy items for sale. The Book Table has an excellent central location across from the Lake Theater and also nearby other great Oak Park businesses. Every time I come here I am always impressed by the selection of books that are available. Definitely my kind of books--way better than just New York Times bestsellers! This Christmas I got several presents from family from Book Table and I couldnt be happier. I look forward to coming here many times in the future!

I LOVE this cozy "old fashioned" book store! Knowledgeable staff, wonderful surprises (e.g., note cards, postcards, stationary gift items), outstanding books-for-children section, a select "best reads" and new publications displayed for browsing on the tables, The Book Table is a destination. The Book Table is thriving in spite of online book vendors and the "big box" book stores. Pricing is competitive. With the hopes that this gem of a book store will be around for many years to come, I purchase multiple books with each visit!

I have been going to The Book Table since I was a kid and they have never steered me wrong. Its a cozy place to just read for a while or get some recommendations from their staff who are possibly the MOST HELPFUL people ever. They have a wide variety of genres, particularly for an independent store; I try my best to purchase all of my textbooks/novels for class here in order to shop local. You can order online and they give you incredibly comprehensive and kind updates. An absolute gem of a store.

The selection here is pretty good and theyre always more than happy to order something for you. The prices are excellent; probably better than any other brick and mortar book store Ive been to in a while. The employees are friendly and very helpful! I recently had a discussion with one of the employees and received several great book recommendations. Check this place out!

I like stopping into The Book Table whenever Im back in Oak Park. Its well organized, so its easy to find things. The staff is helpful and knowledgable, and regularly rotate the display books with helpful information cards. Prices are pretty standard for books. Comfortable atmosphere right on Lake Street near a movie theater, pizza, and great restaurants and shops.

The Book Table books is the epitome of what you want in a used book store. Great selection. SUPER helpful staff. (They personally search for your book when you call in to see if they have a title.) The owner is a great guy. The manager is one of the best read people i know. THEY GIVE OUT KIDS BOOKS TO TRICK-or-TREATERS at Halloween.

This is a strong independent Bookseller. there are plenty of books and plenty of places to sit down and read them .if you need something they gladly order it for you and you may get a 20% discount. if you like books and you like books that go with books and journals and notepads and calendars... this is the place for you.

I love this place. Excellent prices, lots of books covering a wide variety of genres and sections, lots of great hand-written, keen recommendations from the employees. Ive found many gems here. They also host author discussions at Unity Temple, and their gift cards were designed by Chris Ware -- whats not to love?

Love this store, whether or not I am shopping for something in particular. If you are, its here! Every subject, adult & youth, bargains, coffee table books. Staff friendly, location great. Little extras like greeting cards and calendars. People still want to hold a real book in hand, turning the pages...

I love this bookstore! I think I buy about 4-6 books per month here, for myself and gifts. Whatever they do not have in stock can be ordered for a savings of usually 20%, and it arrives in just a few days. I love supporting local businesses, and these folks know my name! Wonderful people and store.

It was a good place. I went with my friend into their on her birthday. Although i wish they had more manga. I am one who loves anime and manga so i was a little sad that there were only a few shelves with manga. I do love the section with the kids book for younger children. Very clean and calm.

Very nice independent bookstore. Great selection of kids books and unique books. Its a little hard to navigate with a stroller (narrow aisles), but its a cozy store. And they were able to special order books for my daughters party favors within a week!
