I dont know whos writing these reviews. But I had a horrible experience. Person behind the counter is nice but shes not the one that deals with the repairs .Never met repairperson must have another job and comes in late. So youre stuck with the awkward position of having to relay your message to the person behind the counter and not the actual repair person. Put television in the shop because I wanted to get it back before the playoffs game started. Paid $69 unrefundable fee which would be put towards repairs if I decide to get it repaired. Got a call two days later I told him to go ahead and repair. Did not hear from them for almost a month. When they did call told me that they was ordering a part from China waited two more weeks I called them told me that part didnt work and if it would hurt another part and that that one didnt work suggested that it would be too costly to work on. Ask me if I wanted them to scrap it." hell no so you could take parts off of it!"I came and got the television. Only problem with the television cuz I had to keep turning it on and off for it to come on but once you came on it stayed on no other problem, surprisely now the sound doesnt work at all. Would not give me back my $69 but told me they would put it towards the price of another television went there to look at the other television 300 was the cheapest one I saw and that was for 43 inch! Ive seen way better prices than that at other repair shops. Who in their right mind would spend $300 for refurbished television! Urge you to not waste your time I dont know whos writing these other reviews but I was very patient a month and a half really. You could have least given me back my money since you didnt keep up your end of the deal. And if you took something in to get fixed and got it back and something else isnt working would you be suspicious!?

Excellent service, very reasonable prices and friendly staff! I thought for sure that my laptop bit the dust. I had all my photos and documents on my computer and I was heartbroken that my pictures would be lost. I read great reviews about Five Star Electronics and I thought Id give it a shot - so very glad that I did. Even with the holiday, they gave me a quick diagnosis and estimate of parts and service. They were honest on what was needed and didnt try to sell me anything that I didnt need. I was delighted! They replaced the motherboard on my laptop and saved me the stress of worrying about buying a new computer AND all my photos and documents were saved!! The staff is awesome! Tom and Dina are very personable and down to earth, they are good people. I will definitely be a return customer for all my electronic needs. I will recommend them to anyone I come across that needs electronic help and more! I am a very satisfied customer and I cannot say enough good things about Five Star Electronics. They are lifesavers for sure and know their business. Thank you Dina, Tom and the Five Star Staff for making my worries go away! You are truly an awesome crew!!

Great service at a great price! What else can you ask for? I went in looking for my first flat screen tv...a 40 inch. They answered all my stupid questions with patience. I ended up with a 50 inch LG flat screen for an unbelievable price. I was more shocked when they delivered and set it up for free that night. They were right it was the perfect size. I ended up later having Five Star mount the tv to the wall for a great price (and i cant imagine not having it now). They also got me new cable and internet service that is much better and cheaper than my current providers were. They also kept in contact with me while i was waiting for the cable installer so I always new when he would be there. I was so happy I even went back later for another flatscreen for a different room. They will give you great advice, great service and great products. The best is the no pressure sales. It gives you time to really consider what you want to do.

I was shopping around for my son for a t.v. for college. I went to Best Buy and HHgregg and it was a total joke with their prices. I heard of Five Star Electronics from a co-worker and I went to go try them out. Not only were the prices there good but the guys who worked there helped me decide on a great t.v. for my son. I ended up buying a t.v. for my son and one for my living room. I also got rid of my $210.00 Comcast bill and got signed up with Direct T.V. and saved half of my regular bill. I was in and out of the store in 40 minutes and gave me free delivery on my T.V.s and also free install the next day. This store reminds me of the old days when you use to walk in to a family owned business and made a personal connection and felt satisfied. I hope these guys stay around for a while because they continuously save me money for whatever needs I have. I would give them 10 stars if possible.

I was in search for the right brand television for the right price. Ive done research at big name stores only to run into poor customer service, and employees that obviously didnt have the knowledge about Televisions they were selling. I was looking around online one day and bumped into Five Star Electronics , Long story but I decided to visit the store , and found that I made a better decision doing so. The sales reps were knowledgable and helped me understand the differences between Led , Lcd with actual display pieces that shows how much lighting is behind the T.v screen itself. They were nice and to the point with good descriptions of what I had questions about. I left the store with a deal on my purchase which is definately right up my alley ,and I will say that my next purchase for a television will be at 5 star Electronics because of their service and great deals .

Great service, Great prices!! I was looking for a laptop for school and a "42" t.v for my bedroom and a friend of mine told me abt this place called Five Star Electronics tht she had been to and said they had some really good deals and tht I should check it out before I purchased anywhere else. I went and there was a young looking girl there who greeted me and let me talk to one of the owners(Good guy) ...I let him know what I was looking for and sure enough he gave me a better deal thn I could have gotten at Bestbuy. I had went to Bestbuy and tht new store tht just opened up on Cicero just to see what kind of deals they had going on and they had some good prices ,but nothing tht could beat the deal I got at Five Star. Def going back there if I ever need anything and I already started telling family and friends abt this place. Thnks so much!!

This review would be for Danny and Dina, both employees for Five Star Electronics, who went over and beyond the extra mile to help us in adjusting to and getting familiar in the knowledge of an updated computer purchased from Five Star. They were kind, patient, extending a helping hand whenever it was needed, always with a smile and gentle manner. They are both prime examples of Customers Relations, putting customer at ease while taking on a task or request, and getting it done to the customers satisfaction. Kudos to both for their great performance on behalf of Five Star Electronics and the customer. 2 very thankful customers, Marjorie and Don Gillies :) :) :)
