I have been working at Gordmans since November and was actually a seasonal worker whom was kept. Since I have been there its been on going racism issue with a certain manager. It seems when ever someone black comes to the store shes quick to tell someone to follow them or assume their stealing.It has been numerous times where guest have came and complained on her multiple times. Including employees called in as well to corporate to discuss this matter. We also have a manager who violates the store confidentiality rights and tells any business thats going on. He sits up with another employee and discuss how fairly they have treated guest then laugh about it rudely. Just recently this week I asked my manager about the employees getting a raise especially the ones who have been working over a year. I was told since the company is broke noone is allowed for extra money only extra hours. I then asked how is that possible if at any job after 6 months you can get a raise. He then stated not this job noone in any position can get a raise. One day later he gave this girl who was recently caught switching a 100$ tagg and replacing it with a 13$ tag by and employee a 3 dollar raise and made her a manager.This is the same employee who sits up laughing with our other manager about how rude they been to a guest.as well as bragging about how there is no camera by the money drawer. From my understanding as well as from the manager that tells all the business that the store manager is only trying to empty the store quick so he can get his bonus. Hes not worried about giving the ones extra money that have been working hard hes only worried about his bonus. "But The Store is so broke"! Its so unfair how were getting treated. Its bad as is were loosing our job but to turn around lie to the employees about everything as far ass the job closing to begin with is not fair what so ever. Today I had an issue with the same two managers that treat guess unfair. I and another female who happens to be a different race went on break together was not told we couldnt leave well from my understanding noone informed me about anything. Me and her actually clocked out together with all the managers in the same room as us and noone said anything about how we couldnt leave. When we came back one of the managers whom is the one to point out blacks as thieves all the time told us we werent supposed to leave. I then stated the managers knew and actually one of them told us it was ok to leave. That was around 5:00 pm at 7:00pm. When the other girl I went to break with shift ended one of the managers who thinks everyone at the job belittle him and were stupid as he told us and yes complaints were filed on him multiple times. Told me I had to go home because I went on break when I wasnt supposed to. Did he approach the other girl whom was a different race no yet he came to me putting me out the store. When I went to the front of the store to ask the manager who originally told us it was ok to leave she laughed in my face and said she was calling the police for me yelling. I dont know what to do at this point were already loosing our job due to them not paying rent and so much other stuff. Im speaking on behalf of all employees who have been getting treated unfairly. Please someone contact me and let me know if you can do anything regarding this matter. I very much appreciate it.

They false advertise prices. I am a clearance shopper so I found a lot of my items in the clearance section. They had the marked down prices on the yellow stickers so it was easy to see how much they had gotten marked down. I go to the checkout and half of my items arent marked down so I ask the checkout lady (who was very rude and rushing me even though no one was behind me) why they arent the prices the stickers all say? And she takes the yellow sticker off and says "that happens a lot" and expected me to pay the full price. I asked if she could give me a percent off atleast for getting my hopes up and she said no. So when I told her I didnt want them anymore then she gave me attitude and threw the items into a bin behind her.

Do not buy gift cards from Gordmans! They run a scam that I was unfortunately a victim of. I received a $100 gift card and only used $35 on it. The second time I tried to use the remaining $65 they said I had a zero balance. No one can provide a payment history of the gift card. They were extremely rude and clearly did not want to deal with me so they told me I had to call their 800 number, where the rep referred me back to the store because she could do nothing. The phone rep gave me an additional number to call that only hangs up after you dial it. This cant be legal! They are scammers!!!!

Im writing this review on behalf of my sister. The workers there have treated her like crap (she works there currently) and i dont like that one bit. People that work at Gordmans - i get you need to work faster and stuff but dont be rude to someone about it. <:(

I witness two employees Abuse A Mother Goose Outside their store in bloomington illinois. she had laid eggs and they killed the babies and smacked the mother with a broom.. For Anyone Who Respect Life I Encourage Boycotting This Store.

Never had a problem with this store! Love the prices! Plus is the only store in this area that carries Colts items. They also have a good variety of items. We always stop here when we are in Bloomington.

I wasnt very pleased when I went to this store today the childrens clothes was a mess and half gone and the lights in the store were burned out I couldnt believe how the store looked.
