Im really not sure what to think after taking my car in for an inspection and leaving after handing over $561. It started off as my car had some noise and getting an estimate from Meinke for 250. Why may you ask would I pay the $600 over the 250... well Im apparently pretty naive and tend to think people who seem genuine, are. And Sears found more wrong with my car... which should have set off a red flag when both Meinke and Sears did a break inspection. The additional things Sears found were that my front right caliper was locked up and that my left caliper was leaking. Also if its not obvious I dont know a lot about cars and they told me that my tire with the ceased caliper was getting so hot it could cause my tire to burst at any moment another thing that Meinke didnt make any mention of. At that point I felt trapped and in the grand scheme of things whats $600 dollars when life and limb are at stake? I should also mention that my father had checked my break fluid among other things and mentioned it was fine about a week prior and again Meinke didnt mention low break fluid either and had checked it the day before. When They brought out the calipers the one was soaked in the fluid to the point I would have thought my levels would have been low and they were like look.. it was leaking. I should also mention that I only had 53,000 miles on my car and I found out from two other customers that calipers should last longer than that and its odd that I had problems on both left and right with relatively low miles. I guess another naive thing I did was right off the bat say that I dont know anything about cars. I think I may have setup myself to be taken advantage and If that wasnt the case Im sorry but so many things seemed really wrong especially when you have two other customers telling you that, that doesnt seem right about something you know nothing about you tend to believe the people that have nothing to gain from the situation. The sad thing is they could have been telling the truth but because of all the red flags and for feeling like I was forced into the purchase with the mention of danger I will be taking my business else where in the future.

A nightmare. Two visits this year were terrible. First visit was for an oil change and brake inspection; it took over 3 1/2 hours. Gave them one last chance and went in for four new rotors and brake pads for my truck. Estimate was $700 and 2 hours work; came out to $820 (even after a $100 Black Friday coupon) and 6 1/2 hours work. The tech broke a wheel speed sensor that I had to pay for ($40) and reassembled my brakes incorrectly and had to do it again. After the 6 1/2 hours they gave me my truck back and the brake pedal went straight to the floor (soft pedal). They didnt test drive the vehicle. They put it back on the rack and bled it enough to give it SOME pressure and then gave it back. Still has a soft pedal that I have to take somewhere else to get fixed. The tech seemed incompetent, and became so angry at the job that the service clerk admitted he did not want to ask him about the delay. One tech was even telling me "funny" stories about leaving tools in peoples engine compartments and under their vehicles. The techs were incompetent, the cost was way more than anticipated and unwarranted, and the finished product was sub-par. DO NOT give them your business or your money. I will never return and will encourage everyone that needs automotive work to avoid them at all costs.

My husband and I dropped off our 2007 Vue for an alignment, tire rotattion and balance yesterday. We had been experiencing a terrible roadspeed noise while driving. We expressed that concern to the salesperson and the technician. When we picked the vehicle up, we inquired if they found anything wrong with the tires. The response from Dustin was "no, we did not find anything wrong with the tires". We left and still continued to hear the noise that was concerning us. We took it to our Saturn dealership today and two of the tires were SHOT!!! They were cupped and in very bad shape. If Sears had informed us of this yesterday while we were getting our alignment, we would have bought two new tires from them on the spot. But now? We are buying elsewhere. Sears really needs to train their automotive staff better. Lost sale for Sears.

Against my better judgement I took my car to Sears for an alignment adjustment on Saturday (they were the only place that could get me in at the time). Sears told me I needed new front ball joints ($570), new sway bar links ($170), and a coolant flush ($85) for a total of roughly $900. I took my car to Pro Tire & Automotive 3 days later (to get a second opinion) and had them check all of those things, and they said I only need new sway bar links (they were broken), and an alignment - ball joints were good, coolant looked new. So for $120 Im cruising down the road fixed and happy. Sears was gonna charge me $170 just for the sway bar links, I got those replaced and an alignment for $120 at Pro Tire. What a joke...Screw Sears! Pro Tire just saved me roughly $800. Ill never bring my car back to Sears.

OMG!!!! This girl Alexis is probably the dumbest person Ive ever came into contact with in my life. Sears, cmon!!! Desperate much?!?!? She had no idea how to do her job or talk to people. This is what Alexis knows and Im quoting, "Whaaaat?" "I dont knooowww..." and that sums up her intellectual conversation. Im embarrassed for her. I had to look away. I have NEVER seen an establishment NEVER receive a five star review. Sears, do the town of Bloomington a favor and shut your doors. Let a better business take over the space.

This place is a nightmare for service. Do not buy something here if its possibly going to need service in the future. I bought a craftsman weed eater and Briggs and Stratton mower here and both needed repairs after the first year. They lost my weed eater and my mower came back with missing pieces. The next summer the mowers axel broke again twice and even after the third time bringing it back they would not return the item. I have lost total confidence in both Sears products and their service. Bad all around.

Largest selection of appliance brands. Have a couple brands no one else carries. Nice to know if you move across the country you can still get your electronics and what not serviced under warranty.
