So I went to Jewel the other day for a frozen pizza and six-pack and stopped by Smallcakes on a whim. The store was clean, the staff was friendly, and the cupcake selection was assorted. I purchased a chocoholic cupcake, which was wrapped up in a pretty little pink box, and took it home. Later that evening, after my frozen pizza and most of my six-pack, I opened up the pretty little pink box and forked a section of chocoholic cupcake into my mouth. It was delicious, it was chocolaty, and it was moist. It was MOIST. Like, disturbingly moist. Its been three days, and I havent slept because I cant stop thinking about the moistness. Seriously, how do they get all that moisture in the cupcake? Some ancient Mayan baking secret? Transfat? Magic? Anyway, the cupcake was moist. 10/10 would put in my mouth again.

Smallcakes was kind enough to deliver a few batches of cupcakes to the hospital I work at. Now, I promise you, I am not a cake/cupcake eater by any means. Theres just something about the texture and consistency about them that have made them not my favorite to go to sweet. BUT OH MY GOODNESS !!!!!!! The chocolate cupcake I had was SUPER moist, and rich without being too rich, and the frosting was creamy and thick without being too overpowering. Not only was the fact that they were kind enough to donate to the hospital enough for me to want to write a review, but seeing as this is the one cupcake Ive truly enjoyed in my life, I HAD to let yall know, you NEED to try this place !!!!!! Definitely going back there some day and will definitely order off of them for future parties.

I cant say enough good things about this place. To start off, they have the most fantastic way of doing cake tastings. As two workaholics, being able to pick up a box of minis and do the tasting at home on our own time...I cant begin to describe how convenient and stress free that is. The cupcakes themselves are delicious! Its so hard to choose flavors! Jill was absolutely amazing to work with and so accommodating! Everything was delivered to the restaurant before we even got there. We chose six different flavors of minis, so everyone found something they liked and EVERYONE was asking where we got them. Thank you so much for helping to make our reception wonderful!

The cupcakes here are great! I always have to have a full glass of milk with one of these cupcakes, and I always eat them with a fork because theyre kind of stacked too high to take a normal bite out of. I like their birthday cake and peanut butter cupcakes the best. Check their facebook regularly to see their specials. They do custom orders, too! My only complaint is that some of them are too rich, and they are a little on the expensive side. I wouldnt buy them for all parties or occasions (especially because my friends and family are fiends who may not appreciate such glorious cupcakes), but definitely for the nice occasions. Or just for myself. ;-)

I absolutely love small cakes. They always have an amazing selection which makes it hard to choose just one and the cupcakes are absolutely delicious. During peak times there may be a little bit of a wait but people dont seem to mind which lets you know how good they are. Small cakes is a franchise which means its still a small business but they execute very well which can be hard for small business. Ive visited other cupcake places in the area (downtown naperville, winfield, wheaton) and nothing compares to Small Cakes.

I have been a happy customer for over a year and have ordered many times due to the equal pricing with their gluten free cupcakes on Monday and Friday. They are all very nice to work with and when they recently got an order wrong with a gluten free cake they were very generous in their repayment of the cake and a bonus credit. They made beautiful cupcakes for my sons graduation this weekend and I have used them several times for marketing clients in my business and the cupcakes are always a big hit.

First of all im not a big cupcake fan, especially not vanilla and sprinkles but jezz everything taste good in here. I had the red velvet which was perfect and moist. Then i had birthday cake which is extremely suprising i enjoyed it as much as i did! They also have gluten free options which is perfect, will be picking them up for my sons 1st birthday and i cant wait!!

I had Smallcakes do my wedding and I was sooooo happy! Everyone loved the cupcakes and they did an awesome job on my cake to cut as well. I worked will Jill and she was so nice and sweet and made the process very smooth and went above and beyond to help. Definitely would recommend for weddings, parties, or just if u want to eAt something sweet!

These are the best cupcake in the world,ok,in a 100 mile radius. I love cupcakes and have tried many in the area. They have a nice variety ie Chocolate Caramel Drum, Banana Cream Pie, Carrot Cake, Strawberry, Boston Cream Pie, Coconut, and Cookie Dough. I saw 20 different varieties on the board. They are super fresh and VERY moist.

Relative to cupcakes Ive gotten at another local business, the dozen (two of six varieties) that I purchased at Smallcakes were so-so. The frosting was very dense and made the cupcake top heavy. The cake crumbled and fell apart when using a fork. Response to owner: Thanks for your offer of a refund.

The cupcakes are delicious and decorated so perfectly. I am looking forward to trying their ice cream! Tried a sample and it was so creamy and flavorful. One negative is the price. $80 for two dozen cupcakes, oye! I like that they offer a punch card. Every 12 cupcakes you buy, you get a free one :)

I ordered my wedding cupcakes from this location just a few weeks ago. Jill and Rob are wonderful people to work with! I suggest everyone to get cupcakes/wedding cakes from them! My guests enjoyed the cupcakes so much, that there was not 1 left. I wish I wouldve ordered more! Thank you Jill and Rob!

We liked them so much we had them at our wedding. They did an absolutely incredible job. We got a lot of compliments on the cupcakes. The owners are very friendly and great to work with. They recently added ice cream to their menu. The butter pecan ice cream is awesome!

Ive tried 4 cupcakes so far, and all were equally delicious, very fresh and overall some of the best cupcakes Ive ever had. If you want a special treat and you like cake, look no further...I know you wont be disappointed.

Love this place. I won 60 free cupcakes at a benefit and about 2 weeks later drove up to pick up 12 and they were fabulous. Loved them so much that we are gonna have the other 48 for my baby shower. I am so excited. :)

I had the peanut butter cupcake. Very disappointed. The frosting wasnt good. Also very expensive at $21 for six. A similar shop in winfield is only $15. The chocolate cupcake was pretty good though.
