Im not one to write reviews, but I read and rely on them frequently and wish I had read something that couldve guided me away from my most recent jcpenney experience. About a month ago I ordered blinds for my whole house (10 Windows) I was helped by the store manager of the Oswego store who was completely wonderful and helpful and is the only reason Im giving this review any stars. My problems started after the blinds arrived. I was told within 48 hours of receiving my blind I would get a phone call from the installers to schedule the installation of the blinds. Well after 48 hours of no phone call I called the store and spoke to the sales person in the blinds department. She told me the information Id been given about the installation process was incorrect and I was suppose to call as soon as the blinds came in order to set up my installation appointment. Well she took down my information and said now the installers would contact me within another 48 hours to schedule the installation. A weekend went by and I called jcpenney back AGAIN stating Ive still reviewed no installation appointment (at this point it has been 2 weeks since Ive received my blinds) I spoke with the store manager at this point who again was very helpful and understanding of my frustration. After getting off the phone with her the installers contacted me within 30 minutes. They had no openings for installation that worked with my working schedule until a week later. They couldnt tell me the time of the appointment at that time (Id be contacted later in the week and informed on the time the installer would get to my house) oh and I also would need to take all the blinds out of the box and set them up infront of the correct window (isnt that doing half their job?) well later in the week past with no phone call confirming the time of the scheduled appointment. Installation day arrived and I received a phone call from the woman who would be doing the install. She told me she would be at my house within the hour to install the blinds... Well I was at work and had no way to get home within the hour. She told me Id have to reschedule and shed let her employer know and theyd contact me the next business day (which is now today). This whole experience with the installers has been a complete joke. If your considering getting blinds from penneys Id plan on installing them yourself. Wish I could go back and order elsewhere. Id have blinds up by now.

I really wish that I can give negative -10 stars as a review, terrible experience, had purchased a citizen watch in the amount of 220, without a care plan. Watch seemed to be defective piece as links kept coming off, fell on a floor few times because links got detached. I went to store to have it fixed like in past. I was assisted by jewelry associate who tried fixing but could not find any link, so I requested to speak with a manager, I waited for total of 45 minutes for a manager, after 45 mins , guy at the jewelry counter said, manager is in the lunch, he will handle the situation. He proceeded further with a situation, all of a sudden, loss prevention lady jumped into a conversation without knowing history, she overruled all the decisions and comments based on judgements. She refused to take a watch for even repair, please remember that I was willing to pay repair cost. 3 steps went wrong: 1) manager came in a picture after 1 hour upon a call from loss prevention 2) felt accused by loss prevention lady, who should not have any consult with this transaction what so ever, I felt accused of lying or stealing? I was treated extremely rude just because I fall under minority bucket? Felt discriminated 3) after spending 1.15 hour, they did not offer any solution, refused to take a watch Sorry, that jewelry manager could not stand up for her customer or her decision! And at an end, I was asked to leave a store by loss prevention because I am making her employees uncomfortable? In fact, she initiated this humiliation and blaming me? I deserve a sincere apology with compensation from District LP manager , for all the emotional harassment!

There is a big difference between this branch of Penneys and the one in the Fox Valley Mall off Hwy 59. Although its a smaller store, the service at the Montgomery branch surpasses the other greatly. I overheard another customer at the Fox Valley branch saying, "Customer service is dead", validating my feelings. The Montgomery branch staff made sure to ask if I had a coupon and made sure to tell me how to access the future 15% off coupon. I waited ten minutes without getting anyone to wait on me in the draperies department at the Fox Valley branch while a service person came up to me right away at the Montgomery branch store.

Such a beautiful JCPenny with all of the displays! All the staff members were so sweet and understanding! They were very helpful! The organization is great within each specific area, but the flow is a bit off. All the sub-sections (ex. Mens Clothing, Womens Clothing) of Housewares, Clothing, and Electronics were all in random locations. Nothing bad at all, it just takes a little longer to find things. Also, they dont have a big section of childrens shoes, but it has enough of a diverse selection which is nice (ex. dress shoes, gym shoes, sandals!

I went to the salon here to have a big wave perm put in my hair. I have not had a perm in over 12 years and was a little nervous. The lady who did my hair Edith I believe her name was did a great job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and she did exactly that type of perm. As far as the rest of this store I find it to be organized and clean. There is usually someone walking around in case you need help or have a question. The lines can be long sometimes at checkout but overall I enjoy shopping here from time to time.

The Montgomery JC Pennys is always clean, organized and the employees are very professional and always willing to help! We were charged wrong because a new special didnt come up on the register at checkout. I called and talked to Amanda and she was so courteous and professional. She credited my account within minutes and was very pleasant to talk too. This store has always demonstrated great customer service...thank you!!!

I shop at this store all the time! Love the layout and very close to my home. I want to give a shout out to one of your employees, Michael. He is fantastic at customer service! So polite, friendly, always a smile on his face and very efficient! I was suppose to do a survey but no longer have receipt. He needs to be recognized as one of your top performers. Way to go Michael! Appreciate your efforts. ☺

This is really close to where I live. This location is very convenient and the employees are really helpful. They have a lot of items for sale and clearance. I have found quite a good amount of items in the clearance area and you cant go wrong with it. I really like this store.
