I have never written a negative review in my life. My philosophy has been to only acknowledge the exceptional service Ive received and not to complain because theres just too much negativity in the world today; however, the way I was treated at this location today has forced me to abandon my ideals and take to the keyboard to warn others of the poor customer service I received. I went into this location today, needing an eye exam for contacts and possible glasses. The exam with Dr. K was great. I found her to be very personable and professional. My experience when I left the exam room and sat down at the stall with Sh***n was terrible. I immediately felt as if I was inconveniencing her when I explained that I would like to order my contacts for each eye separately because I had two insurance companies, one was strictly for vision and the other had vision benefits (the workers in the Arlington Heights Visionworks did this for me last year, and they did it with a wonderfully positive attitude). With palatable contempt, Sh***n said, "Ahh, itll take me at least five minutes to look up both insurance carriers." I waited, and approximately five minutes later, she told me that my one insurance company would cover a certain percentage of the years worth of contacts for both eyes, and she quoted me a price. I asked her where the number came from, and she told me that it was a years worth of contacts for both the left eye and the right eye. I asked her why she didnt split the order up and check on the other insurance benefits. I also told her that I didnt want to order a years worth of contacts. She then told me that there were no benefits available on the other plan. I told that there were. She then told me that she couldnt split the order into left eye and right eye. I said it had been done before. She then said that that would be insurance fraud. I said that I have paid for both insurance policies, and I wanted to receive both benefits. She then told me that it was very busy at the store... Then the guy at the desk got involved, saying that I shouldnt blame her for not knowing about the second insurance provider, and I told him that I had told her and that she had both in front of her. By this time, I was very frustrated. I had been lied to numerous times, so I left. If you value your time and dont want to be lied to, stay away from this place (or at least from Sh***n).

The staff here is great. I was able to get an appointment quickly, they went above and beyond to get me the best deal, and the lens tech had my glass ready same day! The doctor was professional and made sure my Rx was just right, and Meredith also went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. Id definitely go back just for their service.

Exam room dirty. Doctor unimpressive. Staff rude. Staff badmouth each other. Given new glasses with red dot still on lens. Only cleaned when asked and then with attitude. Pleasant when selling add-ons but impatient when I took too much time picking up. Dismissed concerns and left me standing there.
