If youre not a thrift store maven, then this place might drive you nuts. If youre a gifted thrifter, youll never leave empty handed, and youll still have money in your pocket. They have ridiculous rules, and some stuff is absurdly overpriced, but when it is, itll get marked down over time. This is a for profit store, and the opinions of its staff determine what is brand name and what isnt. Theyre not experts. I see this at all thrifts, though. I probably would never pay $40 for a fake Prada, beat up and used, but then, neither will anyone else. So it sits. Their problem, not mine. This store is my ACE in the HOLE. I can walk in here looking for a boys size 2 soccer cleat and come out with a pair. 5 bucks or so. Need red shirts for Valentines day? Done. $2 each. 25% on Mondays for military, and 25% on Wednesday for Seniors. Bring Granny along, shell have a ball, youll save 25%. I can buy an entire summer wardrobe for $40, in brand names. (Talbots, Anne Klein, Claiborne, etc.) If you cant pull this off, youre still learning.

The selection is getting bigger and so are the price tags on items. Some of the stuff behind the counter or glass door is priced according to EBay or even higher. This place has really gone down the tubes over the past year with the change of new management. When you question about a price, they just tell you management priced it when its the clowns in the back that priced it. The toy aisle always looks like a train wreck because the parents are NEVER watching their kids. Electronics are so overpriced as they piece out everything separately. The cable and cord bins are just ridiculous!!! This thrift store needs some serious changes. If you any high ticket item that says "SOLD AS-IS" and doesnt work I would take full advantage of your credit card protection and DISPUTE IT. The blonde manager that runs this place is a greedy snob. If you plan on donating items, take them across the street to Salvation Army because they dont price gouge.

I have gone to this store many times and have spent plenty of money there, but no more. The people who work there are the worst. So rude and arrogant. Recently my friend and I went there, it was her first time. She chose something to purchase and I told her to watch her cart, because people sometimes take things out. She just had her back to the cart and when she turned around, the item was gone. She told an employee what was missing and described it when I noticed a woman near her who had it hidden in her cart with a large quilt over it. I went and took it back and this woman, Mexican of course had the nerve to go to the counter and say it was hers. Long story short, the young man,(manager?) took it from us and said he couldnt sell it because of the controversy. They always favor the Mexicans and believe me it is like being in Mexico when you go there. Such arrogance. No wonder no one likes them.

Found brand new Brooks Brothers dress shirts for my husband ...reg. price: $135.00 ea, I got them for $7.70 each! We also found TONS of high quality sweaters and a couple other casual dress shirts. The great thing? My husband is HARD to shop for - size 17 1/2 dress shirts - so these finds were great! We walked away having spent $77 on merchandise worth $500! The place does need a face lift for sure and its a dump (not very cleaned). Folks are pretty rude (customers and personnel). For some of us its worth it, for others its not. Goodwill Centers are cleaner and waaaaaay more organized. Over All: Thumbs Up.

Way to EXPENSIVE, extremely OVERPRICED for the time you have to spend to find anything in your size! Employees rude! They act as if its a Nordstrom store. They sell fake Coach purses as if they are authentic. Dirty, Unorganized! Huge disappointment!! Some people shop at thrift stores to save money, some people shop at thrift stores because they dont have the money to shop at a retail store. Not everyone shops at thrift stores to resell!! HEY COMMUNITY THRIFT Im not sure your aware but YOUR A THRIFT STORE NOT A BOUTIQUE IN LOS ANGELES!!

This is not a price friendly thrift store - it seems that they look at donated things with tags as NEW merchandise and price accordingly. I have found jeans the same price as brand new in a reputable store - does not make sense when I can go to store buy them and return them if necessary. then I also see name brand no matter how used or old seem to be pricey. I never go any more - the Salvation Army Thrift is across the street and they have better prices and the same quality, designer and new merchandise.

There is nothing nice to say about this place. Dirty, unorganized and very expensive. Used board games were $9.75 and missing pieces. Small used stuffed animals were $5.75-$9.75! Many other items had original price tags on them and they would change the same amount or in some cases more. All items are donated to them but yet they were unable to prove or even tell me about any chartible donations they make. I would not recommend this "thrift store" to anyone.

Do NOT waste your time here. This place use to be reasonable but now Im convinced the owner is unbelievably GREEDY. Not sure who the owner is and would love to see for a laugh but getting clothes for free and pricing them as if they are a department store is very sad. I can honestly say its cheaper to shop at the Saks outlet or Neiman Marcus outlet down the road then it is this place. So disappointed in the direction this place is going.

Nice enough place but the pricing makes no sense. I found a little glass tray for 1.75 which was perfectly reasonable for a thrift store, but a little glass creamer was over nine dollars?! Even if it goes on sale, still way too much. Nothing justifies that especially since their inventory comes to them for free. Id give them a lot more of my business if the prices were more reality-based.

There are no deals at this place anymore. Everything is untested, sold as-is, overpriced, and probably the worst thrift store in Lake County. When question about a price or item is missing somerthing, they tell you thats what the "my boss" priced it. Thats total BS because the clowns in back do all the pricing. If youre donating take your stuff across the street to Salvation Army.

I go every other week, and I find something handy to make for Christmas Gifts. I also love books and they have a huge selection. I love everything...some times you go and no one is there but there are cars...everywhere, dont let it deceive you, go in, dont park in the front by the door because people drop off donations and you cannot get out of the parking spot.

Great thriftin at this store! It is alway nice to come across a thrift store that is organized (to a certain point, as clothes arent organized by size ) and clean! The prices were a bit more expensive than most thrift stores in Chicago, but nothing outrageous. The hipster in me left the store in a state of frugal ecstasy!
