Will NEVER go to Goodwill on Capitol again. We had a ton of stuff and were checking out. I had four bags, one of which was a huge bargain priced at $2.99. The cashier looked at it, called the manager over, and he said that it was wrong and was going to be 12.99. No, Im sorry, that is a violation of Wisconsin state law. And I even showed it to an employee, and NOTHING was said about it being wrong. We are in there at least twice a month, and we spend a ton at Goodwills across Milwaukee. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES, Dusko Milisav, manager of the 38 Palmer Goodwill!

This particular location has decent inventory, but the staff needs better training. They tend to stand around and chat about the weekend instead of stay productive. It often takes up to 20 minutes to have someone come open the locked showcase to see items. Even when there is not a line, plenty of staff is there, and theres no crowd. It seems to be a lack of motivation and a miscommunication between staff and management.

Mediocre, at best. Merchandise mix and quality is about the same as any rummage sale, just with much higher pricing. Both store managers are racist and discriminatory, and treat customers as though everybodys a thief. Clerks are courteous, but management doesnt let the clerks help: "Thats Against Policy." For treating customers like dog dirt, Goodwill gets tax-exempt status.

The selection is good however the prices are more than other GoodWills, I talk to the manager about a few specific items that were almost double what I paid at other stores. He was very nice and adjusted the price for me, however I do not think he believed me that they were so much more expensive. I love supporting GoodWill and he made me feel like I was trying to rip them off.
