I am having a very hard time dealing with the service department at Biggers Chevrolet in Elgin. My car was having issues with what I thought was the transmission. I have a 2013 Chevy Traverse. The exhaust had issues as well and I knew that wouldnt be covered under the warranty. Anyway, when I took it in on Tuesday at 6:45am, at 9am, they finally came out and said that the timing cover on the engine is broke and its leaking oil all over the engine. It is covered on warranty but it will take some time, however they should have it done around 2pm on Wednesday. And they quoted me $1100 to fix the cracked flex pipe on the exhaust, which I said no because that is a lot of money. They didnt have a loaner for me to use so after waiting an hour, they gave me a ride home. Wednesday night at about 6pm, it was finally done. I went to get it and the minute I started it, the check engine light came on. I walked back inside and they pulled my car back in. Service advisor came out and stated he didnt know what was wrong with it, so they will have to keep it. You have got to be kidding me..and because of this, of course they now had a loaner for me to use. They called me Thursday around 4:30pm and said it was done and I could come before 6:30pm or else Friday morning to pick it up. I went there this morning and when I went to sign off on it, I noticed that their paperwork said I had 107,000 miles, when I knew I only have 62,000 miles on it. I asked the guy and after 25 minutes and 4 people involved, they gave me a paper stating the correct miles on it. How does this even happen?? And what mileage did you send into the warranty Dept to get paid?? And is this now going to affect my warranty?? How do I know what they really did or did not do to my car? No one has answers and everyone hides behind glass..shocker! It all seems very shady...I would not recommend this place to anyone! Im sorry but I believe in trusting people and they do not have my trust. I also put it on social media and have 115 comments already, with only 2 positive ones, and its been shared and copied 32 times in the last hour. Obviously, Im not the only one! CHECK REVIEWS PEOPLE! On another note, I drove straight over to a FANTASTIC AND HONEST muffler shop in Elgin, and they had me in and out in 20 minutes, showed me the broken flex pipe, showed me the repair afterwards, included a 1 year warranty, and it cost me $90. Seriously?! The dealership wanted $1100!! Talk about jacking the price up!! And the lady who helped me said they do it all the time! Sure enough, within 5 min, Biggers was there dropping off cars to get worked on

I purchased a previously owned 2008 Saturn Aura from Jim Burgess at Biggers Chevrolet on July 14, 2012. As it was a previously owned vehicle, I decided to purchased the extended warranty for a little peace of mind. Six weeks after purchasing the vehicle, there were several issues - service airbag and tire pressure lights were illuminating randomly, the passenger side door lock was not responding to the key remote, and the washer fluid nozzles had very low flow. I made an appointment with the Biggers service department and took it in on August 31, 2012. They informed me that the battery needed to be replaced as it was the cause of the illuminating service airbag and tire pressure lights, that the door lock actuating assembly needed to be replaced, that the washer fluid nozzles needed to be replaced, and that only the door lock actuating assembly was covered under the extended warranty. I had them replace the battery and the door lock actuating assembly, but declined the replacement of the washer fluid nozzles as I was already over $340 in repair costs for a vehicle I purchased only 6 weeks prior. I was not happy. I contacted Dave Arenson and Bob Colwell and expressed my discontent. Today, I took the vehicle back to the Biggers Chevrolet service department. Not only did they replace the washer fluid nozzles at no charge, they refunded the entire $340+ that I paid the prior week - voluntarily. I chose to do business with Biggers Chevrolet because of their excellent customer service reputation. After my first service visit, I was disenchanted and had decided to move my service needs to another provider. My visit today changed that decision. Not only will I continue to have my service needs taken care of by Biggers Chevrolet, but I will recommend them as an honest, customer service driven, full-service dealership with integrity seldom found in businesses today.

i walked in and was treated like a low class citezen just because they could tell i was young. i am 21 people treat me with some respect. so after i get to the front where i have 10 grown men just staring at me with disgusted looks i ask for the manager. the manager was in a rush and threw me to one of the sleezyiest salesman i have ever met. his name was jake mejaski and he played the part of the kind of salesmen you fear when trying to buy a car. credit wasnt good but not terrible, but i had 3,500 in cash ready to work something out and wasnt given the time of day or even the chance to work something out. back to the horrible experience with the salesmen jake mejaski, i had my sister co-signing with me and said many times that MY SISTER was cosigning and he kept referring to her as my GIRLFRIEND and asking if she was hot. i was in a heated rage after that, but it doesnt stop there. he also tried to push me off to another salesmen and proceeded to cut me off everytime i asked about price. i am pretty sure you dont need to go too far in a deal to know what the price is. i have bought a few cars and common sense will tell you the price is maybe just maybe a big part of the whole car buying experience. but never was given a chance to even say any numbers. i kept asking about the price and he would say i cant talk price with you. ?!?!?!?!! are you kidding me? give me a break biggers. quit the old sales games and just be honest and not sleezy. i wish i could take back the 20 mins of my life wasted at such a awful dealer. you lost your sale from the moment i walked in with how i was treated. never ever ever buy from biggers they play games and will never shoot straight with you. i pray that jake mejaski gets fired for his comments and his behavior. he is absolutely insulting and needs to find a new job. biggers should get negative ratings for how badly they perform

I will never buy a car from anywhere else! From the moment I walked through the door I was given the red carpet treatment. The staff here definitely went above and beyond in the customer service department and far exceeded my expectations. I felt like family throughout the entire process of buying a car. We all know how tedious buying a car can be, but Biggers Chevy made it hassle free and completely painless. I have to give a huge shout out to Jennifer Paluch, Jeff Purcell, & Steve Reiter. These three people collaborated together to create the ultimate car buying experience for me. Jeff was my salesman and stood outside in the freezing cold to help me remove all the items from my old car...even though I insisted on doing it myself. He has a heart of gold and kept telling me how nice I was. Steve initially proposed awesome financing options to me from the get-go. When we hit a bumpy patch in the process he called me into his office to tell me the terms had somewhat changed. I was fearing the worst, of course, but he had even better news for me. He made a few phone calls and was able to get me a lower percentage rate on the financing and created an even more favorable outcome for me. The warranty even became better than what was originally proposed to me. I was blown away by how friendly and fun everyone was. Jennifer is a riot! She created a comfortable environment and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. A+ across the board. These people know their stuff and treat you right. I highly recommend this dealership to everyone. They cater the car buying experience to the customer and do everything they possibly can to give you the most bang for your buck. I am one completely satisfied customer!
