Terrible New Management!!! Ive been visiting that thrift store for years now. I do a lot of crafting and sewing and thats the perfect place for me because is big and the variety is nice. Yesterday (Sept, 30, 2015) I went to see if I could find some fabric and I noticed they have a new management... Let me tell you, prices are RIDICULOUS, I look through the coats and they were $30 and no even a good brand !!!! I remember 2 years ago I bought a coat, expensive one, and I paid $7. People, do not even try this again, Platos Closet is selling cheaper than them and even Goodwill. The new management is being so ridiculous about the prices for items that are given to them for free. >>To the management of the place: If I want to buy a broken dinning table for $100 Ill rather go buy it NEW at Walmart or small retailers. In a thrift store youre supposed to find items at 80% to 95% discount, thats the purpose of thrift stores. Just in case you didnt know. It used to be a really good place, now is just crap and people taking advantage of buyers for used stuff. OH, and theres one girl at the register and shes supper bitter!!! Nothing compared with the old management and employees at all.

This store will cheat you to your face and then tell you that they cant do anything about it because it is store policy. Today my wife bought about a dozen items. While the cashier was ringing things up, my wife was putting the items into bags. After checking out she looked at her receipt and noticed that she was overcharged for a pair of shoes. When she brought it to the attention of the cashier, the cashier replied that there was nothing that could be done because their store policy did not allow returns. After several fruitless attempts to convince the cashier, who is also the manager on duty, to either refund the difference or take the shoes back, the manager/cashier threatened to call the police if we didnt leave. I offered to call the police myself. She gave me the name of the store manager, and then reiterated their "no return" policy saying that she wasnt going to be bullied. I left the store not wanting to cause a bigger scene than I already had. I am appalled that they would treat their customers this way, and alienate not only us but the several customers in line who witnessed the entire situation.

I try to go to this thrift store at least once a week, or every 2 weeks. Pros: * Never the same thing twice. This location gets a lot of donations and a lot of customers and the product gets rotated often. If you see something you want--get it because it wont be there the next time! * Great variety! They have clothes, games, toys, books, housewares, and furniture. Something for everyone. * Big selection. I consider CT to be larger than most goodwill and thrift stores so there is a big selection of items. Cons: * Crowded!! This place is always packed. Ive been here on the weekends and weekdays and it always is crowded thus long checkout lines. * Pricing-- there is no rhyme or reason to the pricing. Some stuff is super cheap and fairly priced and some items are overpriced like housewares and items still with tags.

Ive been visited this store years! I use to love going at least once a week. But now they have become so expensive its unbelievable and disgusting given the fact that they thrive off of donations. Lately, Ive once that they have removing the discounted tags. I was there two weeks ago and the 50% tags were pink and blue. While shopping around I noticed that there were no discounted tags on the racks, all the workers were removing the pink and blue tags from the racks. I overheard the works saying in Spanish that their manager told them to remove all the 50% off tags! I went again another day and low and behold all the 50% tags had been removed, I asked the cashier about it and she was so dumbfounded. Im so disappointed.

DO NOT DONATE HERE. This place is NOT affiliated with any charities. All of the money goes directly into the owners pockets. You are essentially donating your items for free, so they can turn around and sell it for a huge profit and rip off the community. That should be criminal! Donate somewhere that works with charities! This place is extremely dirty, extremely overpriced, and extremely unfriendly. Its high time this place gets shut down for taking advantage of East Dundee.

some of the reviews on here almost scared me away, but im glad i tried this store anyway! i did not think the prices were ridiculous, maybe a bit high but i was able to find clothes and toys at very reasonable prices. Its not terribly clean, but no dirtier than other thrift stores ive been to, and i didnt think it was badly organized. If youre willing to search you can find some good stuff!

Huge selection of mens, womens, and childrens clothing. Also a great variety of furniture, books, toys, and much more. Prices are pretty good for a thrift store to begin with, and they often have weekly deals (e.g. 40% off all clothes, 50% off everything, etc) that make the prices even more fantastic. This is definitely one of the best thrift stores in the area!

Mens clothes ridiculously overpriced. Found a new with tags shirt that had a TJ Maxx $18 tag on it and these idiots had it priced at $24. Even low end used mens shirts are $7-15. Calling this place a "thrift store" is a joke as far as clothing is concerned. Looked at board games too. They use half a roll of packing tape on each box to seal them. What a joke.

Store is really messy...I found a cute dress from Target that cost more than at Target! Dresses averaged between $10.00 and up. Found one for $59.99! Looking for swimsuits just to have spares. They averaged around $10.00!! If you dig, you can find a bargain, but really crowded with ebayers tearing things apart. I will never go back there.

Store torn apart with clothes, hangers and items all over floors, (trip hazards ) EXTREMELY over priced.. Picture Frames at starting at $5, pant stand for $50, beat up small cooler for $9, Shirts starting at $8+, better deals at savers, goodwill and salvation army. Very disappointed in this store.

Always have good inventory, but they are really overpriced. Many many items are retail priced and not thrift store priced. Between salvation army, goodwil. And savers thrift stores, this is the most expensive overall....but, I can always find something i like and priced right and thats why i go back.

Its ok, clothing could be better organized. Also much of the furniture are over priced. I realize its a business that needs to make money and pay employees but these things are donated it should not be the same cost as buying new.
