Here is my experience at this Walmart location: I bought some items on the Walmart website to be available to pick up in store the following day. One of my items did not get pulled up front because i found out afterwards they were out of stock of this specific item (after waiting on hold for 20 minutes on Walmarts customer service, got hung up on, and had to call back). In the store i requested a manager to help resolve this problem. No manager was at the store so i was redirected to assistant manager YVONNE (Beware). She was very rude, pushy, and did not clarify they were out of stock of this item. She intended since it didnt show on the initial pull up paperwork (I had a paypal invoice showing i had paid for all the items) that i did not buy the item, and the only way for me to get it was to re-buy it in the store. I am an easy pleaser and never had many issues with online ordering. I then requested another assistant manager. Sandy who was very kind and endearing to my issue clarified what was happening for me and guarenteed my refund for the item. That is why I am giving 2 stars. 3 would have been an average experience, which it wasnt due to assistant manager YVONNES un-professionalism. Again AVOID DEALING WITH ASSISTANT MANAGER YVONNE HERE SHE IS VERY RUDE AND HAS A BAD TEMPER/ DID NOT GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT WHAT MY ISSUE WAS. She is not management material, she would be a lot better off working at the DMV. Im no stickler, i am a 24 year old guy that very rarely leaves reviews here. I just thought this was worth mentioning here for any local shoppers who run into a similar issue, or have had previous experiences with assistant manager YVONNE in the past.

This is a complaint about the photo department. I ordered my Christmas cards online for pick up at the store. They were done quickly, great (or so I thought). I picked up my cards and drove 1/2 way home when I opened the package and realized that the envelopes were missing. I had to turn around (of course, it was rainy and the day before Thanksgiving so parking was like taking your life into your own hands). Back into the store, different guy behind the counter who left me standing there for about 5 minutes before I finally asked him if he worked there. He was like "Oh yeah, sure". I then told him that my envelopes were missing and that the photos were glossy not matte as I had ordered. He said thats all the paper they had. Really?! What kind of photo department is that? I called as asked to speak to the general manager who said they dont have men working in the photo department. What?! I wont order photos from them again. Not worth my time, gas or headache.

I normally have a pleasant experience each and every time I go to the Crystal Lake Walmart. This last visit I encountered a rude assistant manager named Yvonne. My father and I were in to purchase a Fitbit for my mother as a Christmas gift. When she came to the electronics department to approve a price override because of a price match she was incredibly rude to myself and my father. She was condescending and completely came off like a "I hate my job" kind of person. I have never taken the time to write a negative review about any business or experience but I really question how a woman like this chose the path of retail/customer experience. She needs some customer service training or should be relocated to the receiving department so she doesnt have to come in contact with any customers. My experience today just leaves a dirty taste in my mouth and makes me not want to buy at Crystal Lake because of the attitude experienced by Yvonne.

I was at Walmart yesterday afternoon and picked up some items at deli. I told the Walmart employee in deli medium thickness. This morning as Im making sandwiches for work I find out how she cut my meat. Well so thin I couldnt get it out of deli bag. And there were cracks and holes in cheese. I repeat I bought thesr items yesterday afternoon. So I went there this morning to do an exchange due to their companys mistakes and they give me a hard time not only the customer service rep but also the csm. They ridiculed me. Now Im going to talk to store manager about the lack of ability to cut meat & cheese but also about customer service etiquette. I will never give Walmart the satisfaction of receiving my $ in any way.....

I cant describe how terrible this place is. But Ill try. Now, its almost as though the company treats their employees poorly and pays the bare minimum, and due to that fact the majority of workers there care AT ALL what theyre doing or have a clue where anything is... or could be bothered to show a little urgency when the line at one of the 2 open register lanes is crazy long and taking FOREVER WHILE 500 OTHER LANES REMAIN CLOSED WITH NO CASHIERS.... good sweet lord I dread going into this abomination of a store. I really try not to, but sometimes I forget and get tricked into going back... like I have this vague notion that I must be crazy, it couldnt possibly be as bad as I remember... but then POW!! Yeah, its terrible

Tried to buy 2 bottles of wine but our cashier was under age and it seemed like no one was around to ring us up. We gave up and said we didnt need it. Then someone showed up and we said wed given up, and I could hear her complaining to the manager that she went to check us out but we changed our minds so I turned back and told her and the manager that it took too long. He said he was sorry he was with a customer, but the way he said it and how she complained that we left the wine seemed like they wanted to give me some lip. They should have more people to support their under age cashiers check out alcohol on. Friday night. We gave up because it looked like no one was ever going to come. Slow!!!

Horrible customer service! Cashiers have no clue about purchasing programs. Cashiers argue and make incredibly rude remarks... Born and raised in Cary, IL and never more embarrassed about a local store and how they treat people.... YOUR STORE IS A JOKE!? # any where but Wal-Mart.... low prices for cheap products do not excuse horrible customer service.... When I spoke with manager he explained they have a tough time keeping employees (WOW) and high turnover of staff... this is why cashiers stink at their job? attitude in your store reflects leadership! what does this say about your store? sincerely, a man who will never shop at Wal-Mart again...

Ok...so they have a lot, but it seems hard to find an item youre looking for and it seems like any time Im looking for something, they are on opposite ends of the store and I have to walk a mile. Never feels like a quick, easy trip and I actually dread going here. The parking doesnt help. I never get a close spot and have to walk a ways in the parking lot too. Im not against walking but when youre just trying to get errands done I prefer my walks to be scenic not at Walmart. Definitely recommend not going on the weekend when the craziness is bumped up even more.
