A local small business gem in the heart of downtown St. Charles. Not to be confused with the corporate conglomerate discount tire, St Charles Discount Tire & Service provides a level of service that far exceeds any chain store. They are familiar with the community and are not hesitant to provide an honest recommendation or referral for repairs out of their scope of service. If you are looking for quick services i.e tires, oil change, brakes etc... it helps to call 30 minutes ahead of time (If they say "we are extremely busy" they mean it and when they say "come right in" you can usually get in and out within a reasonable amount of time). I like this because they value their customers time. Prices are fair and they dont five and dime you for "suggested repairs." The staff models a high level of integrity. The inside could use a face lift but their customer loyalty says otherwise. I send all my friends and family here because I know they will extend the same level of service to all who walk through their doors.

Been using the guys in St. Charles for years and have found them to be as honest and reliable as their service is fast. Had my sister in law in from out of town having car problems. Sent them to see these guys and they looked but couldnt find what we thought it was. No charge AND they recommended a transmission place that they trusted. Took the car to them and they also looked it over and did not feel the work that was needed was warranted for the age of the vehicle. Also no charge. These guys are my first stop for any car service. If they cant do it, they generally have a recommendation for me. Theyve never tried to sell me something I didnt need or even upsell tires if I already know what I want. I trust them and thats not an easy thing to say these days with anything, much less auto repair. I refer friends all the time, never had anyone come back and say they didnt get a deal.

Weve gone to this place for years. Weve found them to be extremely honest and they do great work. Adam also gave us some excellent advice when we were looking at purchasing a new vehicle. We highly recommend them. Update 6/21/2013: We just had another great experience with Discount and I had to update my review. Our 2008 Honda Fit was sounding a little funny - like a bearing was going out. We brought it in and told Adam to just look things over. They took some time and cleaned the brakes a bit (we dont drive the vehicle much) and said that everything looked good. Adam refused payment since they hadnt really done anything and said "Well make you pay when we do some real work." This is the second time theyve done some minor work and told us not to worry about it. I imagine it isnt something they do for customers they dont know well, but still... how cool is that?

Today was the first time I had ever been to Discount Tire in St. Charles. I went in to have my rear brakes (pads and rotors) replaced and to get new tires. I spent a lot of time researching (checking brands and pricing). I dealt with Adam who was very honest and professional. Adam communicated very well and had excellent product knowledge. He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. When I arrived for my appointment my car was promptly taken into the shop and the job was completed in the promised amount of time. I was charged what I was quoted and feel like I received a very honest, fair and competitive price.I will definitely bring my car back and refer my friends.

Discount Tire Saint Charles (a rip off, and not part of the actual chain) employs a bunch of skanky hillbillies and illegal Mexicans that give customers attitude and basically terrorize our neighborhood. when they are not outside smoking and cat-calling the high school girls that are walking to and from the bus stop, they are parking employee AND CUSTOMER cars on the city streets because they are too cheap to expand their parking lot. Of course, if they park your car on the street and I hit it, they and their insurance are not responsible. WE have had to use the cops to deal with their employees on more than one occasion.

Adam and staff treat customers with respect and care even when theyre experiencing very high calls/walk-ins volumes! Im impressed with their professionalism and fees. Treated me with respect and didnt take advantage of my lack of auto knowledge. Ill definitely be going back and now my fiancé is on board with this place whos a Discount Tire regular in Oswego but due to the extended services Adam offers + fair pricing compared to the chain the fiancé has made the switch as well! Thanks to Adam and his staff!

Adam is wonderful! This place is a God send. My front driver side tire blew out on me on my way to work. I called for roadside assistance and had them tow me here. Adam was nice, knowledgeable, very polite and helped me fix my problem for a very low price. They dont sell many used tires but I got lucky and they had 2 in my size that were in very good condition. So far my car hasnt been serviced yet so Ill update this with how fast they were and the work done but so far Im very happy with my experience.

Discount Tire does excellent work. I have been taking my personal and business cars to this Discount Tire for years, they do excellent fast work and I have always found their commuication to be one of their strong points. I am surprised that there are some bad comments about their communication, this must be from old employees that are no longer there?? All of my co-worker use this place as well. I have recommended this Discount to many of my friends and they have all been very happy with them.

Now to start off me and my family have been coming here for a long time and there really is no one else we trust with our cars. For years my parents have been bringing their family cars here and have earned a trust with all the guys in the shop. Actually so much so that I trust them enough to do work on my "racecar" when I really wouldnt let anyone but myself work on it. They do great work for a great price, what else do you need?

Independently-owned Discount Tire. Recently had 3 cars serviced within two weeks. Provided EXCELLENT customer service and fair price. He didnt take advantage of my ignorance. Cars were serviced quickly, too. Cant go wrong with this auto shop. Besides repair, I also purchased 4 new tires at a great price and this was the first service, so he didnt give me a great price because of the amount if work I was asking him to do.

These guys are trustworthy. Ive gone there since friends recommended them years ago, and have been very happy with their service. I even (inadvertently) gave them the opportunity to cheat me when I took my car in with a broken hood latch. They could have replaced it, or just charged me, and Id have never known, but instead they found it was only frozen and didnt need work. They are on the level!
