Bought a coin-operated dryer to replace an old, outdated, and broken one for my tenants and was told that it was brand new, save for a small scratch on the front. I was skeptical, but I took their word for it. First time I used the dryer to test that it worked, I found that the machine that took the coins in was inoperable. I called the Sears Outlet knowing that there is a 3 month warranty on it and went through a long and aggravating process of 10-30 minute long holds and transfers from department to department and they finally sent a tech out to repair the "brand new" dryer. He ordered replacement parts for the dryer and told us to wait a week for the parts to be shipped to the house. Eventually, when the parts came in, the tech returned and ended up telling me that he would not be able to fix it and that my only option would be to return it and trade it in for another or get credit toward a different dryer OR get a refund. I called the Sears Outlet again and laid out the whole problem not wanting to have to deal with hauling the thing back in my car and driving 45 minutes out there to get a refund since I knew that this is the only dryer that they have of that specific make, model, and price. So replacing it is not in the picture and Id have to spend an extra $300+ if I wanted to trade the thing in towards a different dryer. I believe that I am entitled to some sort of compensation for all of this frustration, time, energy, and gas that Ive wasted in buying it and returning it. Now Im about to head back there to spend even more time, energy, and gas and Ill most likely be returning it for a full refund and walk out with a massive amount of frustration and stress. Pulling my hairs out and face palming, Im so disappointed with these people. After being a long time customer and having made several BIG purchases from them in the past, Im sad to say that I will never step foot into any Sears stores of any kind ever again. Neither will my family or friends, because they all know of my story and theyve all had similar experiences as well. To add salt to the wound, this is not the first time Ive had to deal with their awful services. Thank you for the mediocre handling of your products and services and the headaches and hair loss that youve caused me, Sears. Good bye and good luck, you will most definitely need it.

Great sales floor associate, professional/courteous delivery men. The refrigerator was delivered w/out door handles. When we purchased it, the handles were in the fridge, they were not there upon delivery. Called, was put in touch with a manager (no name given, heavy Russian or Polish accent), he put me on hold for 20 minutes then disconnected. He never called back despite having my information. I drove 40 minutes to the store to get the handles. I confronted the manager and asked why I didnt receive a call back. He said he thought I found the handles and hung up. Im guessing he assumed I was an idiot when he asked if I looked in the fridge, because there are so many hiding places for door handles?? He said I was on hold for so long because he was ordering handles to deliver to me. When I asked if it were possible to have part of my delivery fee refunded as I had to pick up parts and therefore only received a partial delivery, he got nasty and said I had cost him $110 in parts. My reply was that if he had been courteous and professional enough to call back, none of these issues would have occurred. I told him this was terrible customer service and terrible management. His reply was "yeah". With all of the choices to purchase goods, Sears needs to rid itself of these type of employees or the writing is on the wall: people will shop elsewhere!! This man took what would have been a very positive experience and review straight to the bottom. Unacceptable and straight up terrible customer service. This occured at the Darien location.

I only clicked the one star so I could write a review. Theyre not even worth one star. DO NOT buy anything from these idiots that requires delivery. You have been warned. My wife and I bought a dryer on a Saturday and were told someone would call Monday night to arrange Tuesday delivery. Not rocket science... Oh wait, I suppose it is to these dummies. No Monday call, no Tuesday call. I call them and talk to ED. Ed tells me some crazy story about us not being in the system, I call back, talk to DAVE, he says that the delivery truck broke down. Have to deliver next FRIDAY!! Say what?! He calls me back, says he arranged to have it delivered tje following Tuesday instead (confused yet?). Next Tuesday, no delivery. They tell me again, after I have to call them, that the truck is broke down AGAIN. Comedy. My wife calls Sears corporate, they tell her on a 3 way call with Ed that it will be delivered the following Tuesday (the day of this post) at NO charge for our inconvenience. Who wants to guess if it was delivered? When my wife called about it this time, Ed tells her that I called and said that we would pick it up and they canceled the delivery as a result. Total fabrication. PLEASE DO NOT waste your time with these morons. After 2 weeks, I had to cancel the purchase and now I still have no dryer. Awesome!

I will never ever visit this store again. The price may look attractive at a glance but the customer service is terrible in this store. Delivery service had not ever went without problems. The first time when I purchased a refrigerator, it took 3 weeks to be delivered due to their mishandling, the 2nd time when I purchased a washer, the delivery was no show on the day without any notice. When I called the store, the store staff hanged up my call in the meddle of conversation. It took additional 5 days to be delivered. The most recent purchase of a refrigerator, they lost the shelves that had to be inside of the fridge. The store sales person explained that it I did not get them I had to order separately. It cost more for me after all. I doubt that they actually delivered a different fridge that I ordered, the same model but the different serial number, since the one delivered had more scratches than I saw in the store. I was not able to prove that since I did not take a note the exact serial number. If you purchase anything here as-is, I highly recommend to take a note of the actual serial number, take photos inside and outside, and not to use their delivery service.

My husband and I stopped in to the Darien location to price refrigerators. We were assisted by Al who was knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of helping us find the best refrigerator at the best price. When we were having difficulty making a decision and had more questions Joe came over to help, again extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. My husband was concerned about it getting any further dents or scratches during delivery (this is the outlet and the reasonable prices are due to the scratches and minor dents) so Andy came over and said since he was the one in charge of wrapping and preparing the refrigerators for delivery he would be happy to put the blanket around it that we had in our car. Al and Joe walked us over to Mike to check out. Again we couldnt be happier with the friendly service Mike provided. We were pleasantly surprised at what a great experience these gentlemen provided. We will be back for any future appliance purchases and highly recommend Al, Joe, Mike and Andy. It is so unusual to see this kind of customer service these days. Great job Sears outlet for higher interest them!
