At first I was impressed by the prices at Windy City Hotel Furniture Liquidators. I was able to find some furniture for my apartment at good prices, which made me happy since I just moved to Chicago. However, the couch I bought was supposed to be a new Ashley furniture couch but it arrived with a tear in the upholstery and scuffs on the legs of the couch. Additionally, an end table for my hall way was also supposed to be new and arrived with a warped piece of wood so the natural wood was showing when it was supposed to be red mahogany. I went back to the shop to ask about the hall table (this was before I noticed the tear in the couch or I would have mentioned that too) and they agreed to switch out the table but ended up charging me another $40 delivery fee because I bought mirrors when I was there. First off, they were very unhappy and gave me a lot of grief about the table, which was their fault in the first place. And second, to charge me ANOTHER $40 when I am giving you more business even after you messed up is just ridiculous. Also, when I bought end tables at my first trip they painted them black at no extra charge. However, at my second trip I asked for the frame of a mirror to be painted and they charged me $20 more. I think he was upset about me asking for a different table that he was squeezing me for more and more money.
