I have not shopped at a local retail store in a long time as I have been online shopping. Unfortunately, this experience with Harlem RoomPlace is not good. I purchased 2 dining chairs and did not notice how lightweight they were (for the price) until todays delivery. Also, the faux leather is very thin and it is white. The chairs were not covered in plastic when they arrived and there was smudges on them, which I didnt notice until after the deliverymen had left and I took a close look. I no longer want them because with respect to quality, they are definitely overpriced. However, Harlem Roomplace has a no refund policy. If I am dissatisfied with the merchandise, my only recourse is for exchange. SO SAD, but gone are the days when the customer is always right-- meaning that U can return merchandise within a certain period of time JUST BECAUSE. I learned my lesson. No more impulse buying; definitely wont buy from Harlem Roomplace again; find out what the return policies are before you purchase; and online buying is better because they do not charge for delivery thereby saving even more money.. BEWARE BUYERS, IT IS NOT REALLY ABOUT OUR SATISFACTION ANYMORE, IT IS ALL ABOUT MONIES. THESE ARE THE TIMES WE LIVE IN!!!

I had a wonderful experience at the room place. I was greeted warmly by my salesperson Lawrence Gibson. He is very knowledgeable about the products in the store. He was very respectful and courteous. He took his time explaining details and he listen well. After I completed my transactions, I had to talk to the manager Shay and tell her what a wonderful job Lawrence had done. Overall the staff that I had encountered was very friendly. Thank you so much. I will be returning to the room place.

Dont ever get furniture from here. Their sales reps add on their extended warranty after you tell them you dont want. Then when you ask them to take it off they will tell you, you have to get it. Also if anything happens to your furniture not only do the store wont fix it but also the extended warranty as well. This was my 1st and last time shopping at this place. I will continue my business at Bobs discount furniture at least theyre upfront with their customers
