Here is the follow up of the original post : with the sales representative Craigs help, finally I got a new car and seems out of this problem. I hope this car works better. Jim was very helpful too. Anyways, if you visit this dealership, find Craig. He is unlike other car sales person. Not pushy at all, very honest. The sales manager Jim was very helpful as well! Highly recommended. The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. The sales person- Craig Nagrocki was very helpful and honest at least. But the finance and service department were just awful. At the finance department, Miss Jennifer didnt give me any options of lease term.. mileage.. payments.. She just gave me the lease and told me to sign it because it is standard and my only option. It wasnt a bad deal itself, but her attitude made me feel awful. Now here comes the interesting part. 2 weeks after I got this car, brand new ATS, I only drove it for 170 miles. The car started to shake and misfires. I brought the car back to the dealership for service.. They took the car in and told me : maybe you should put on more miles and the car will heal itself.. or you should just fill your gas tank half full so it wont shake. I am not an expert of cars.. but I do have common sense.. This is just crazy! Then the same day I dropped off the car, I got a phone call from Miss Jennifer, she ORDERED me to go back to the dealership to RE-SIGN the lease. She called me at 7:30 pm and asked me if I could go in. Hello? First of all, why do I have to re-sign it? if you made mistake Miss Jennifer, at least you could have asked me nicely to go in re-sign it at my convenience! 2nd, why do i have to re-sign it? She told me that the lease should be 15K mile per year, but on the lease I have, its only 12K. But she didnt even ask me if I want 12K or 15K.. Maybe I want just 12K for the sake of less monthly payment? Now, I dont have a lease, they have that shaking car, and the down payment. I couldnt find anybody at the shop to talk to. The general manager wont even answer his phone. Guess time to call the Attorney general or something . Dont go to this dealership if you want an easier life. I cant say it is the quality of GM cars. maybe I just got an lemon..

BE AWARE!!!! I was shopping on line using Cargurus for a 2014 Cadillac ATS for my wife. I was on business travel overseas and thought I had found the car. I called Grossinger and it took me over a day to get anyone to call me back. Once I did get someone to call me , we worked out a price. I gave them authorization to charge my credit card for the down payment and I asked my wife to FedEx a check for over $20,000.00 for the remainder. However, after a closer scrutiny of the photos of the car on the website we became concerned with the condition of the car. I tried by phone and email to get someone at Grossingers to clarify the condition. But they said they were "too busy". So, I called off the sale, I emailed them and telephoned them on 3 April. They confirmed via text the same day. On 12 April, after I had already bought another ATS from another dealer, they cashed my check putting me $14,000.00+ in the hole with my bank account. I emailed them, no one called me. I had to make 20+ calls before the GM would even talk to me. All I could get was, "its not my fault." BE AWARE!!!!! I have contacted the Chicago BBB and the IL State Attorney General asking that Grossinger is investigated for mail fraud and theft. I am talking with a lawyer about a civil lawsuit.

If you are looking for a luxury car buying experience, dont come here - this place runs more like a cheap used car lot and is a complete waste of time. The sales manager Rich and the sales people are completely unprofessional and dishonest. Their peons know nothing about cars, sales or writing complete coherent sentences via e-mail responses. Their inventory is even worse. Most of the new cars on the lot are damaged, scratched and dinged. These are luxury cars parked bumper to bumper and door to door on top of one another. Dont bother with setting up a test drive because youll be waiting for a dirty car with no gas and a dead battery just to drive around the block. If you make to actually deciding to buy and ask them to cover damages via price negotiation or servicing, they will look at you like you are crazy. If you seriously want to buy a Cadillac, I recommend taking the 40 minute drive out to the suburbs to deal with some competent people. If the waiting game, bait-and-switch, final price reneging and sleazy sales people dont bother you, then by all means go to the Grossinger circus show.

After reading other Google reviews, I wish I would have read these before I brought my car in. Last Tuesday evening, my car began shaking so violently when I turned it on. In a panic, I woke up early Wednesday to call and try and get my car in. I will say, they were able to take my car and run the diagnostics even though I was told they were very busy. However, I was charged over $600 for a replacement ignition coil. After a quick call to my local mechanic (I was concerned about driving it anywhere) he told me absolutely not, that he would charge me $380 at MOST with taxes/labor. I tried to call back and get them not to work on it, but was told "They already began working on my car." This was all in a span of 15 mins. Whether or not that is true, I tried to tell Paul that the costs were ridiculous. He said hed look for some coupons for me, but when I looked at my itemized receipt after they ripped me off majorly, I was charged $300 for labor alone. Unreal. Unless you are someone who has an abundance of money to blow, I would avoid going to this dealership for mechanical work.

To say that my experience buying my first Cadillac CTS-V at Grossinger City Autoplex was outstanding would be a understatement. Right from the start I felt at home by the way I was treated by Jim Monti who went way out of his way to make sure that I was thoroughly satisfied. Other members of the staff also played an important role. Mike Lorenzo did an outstanding job in locating the exact car that I wanted. Ron Stone was great, Even the owner Gary Grossinger was instrumental in helping out where needed to make sure I was in the right vehicle. Jim also has extremely helping all kind of luxury cars in my lifetime, but nothing compares to the thrill of driving the CTS-V. It is by far the best car I have ever driven. You can be sure that when it is time to turn this car in, I will be getting something comparable and it will be from Grossinger City Autoplex for sure. I will definitely be referring my closet associates to Grossinger to purchase their next car because again the experience is the best Ive ever seen. My hats off to you Grossinger, a truly professional dealership!
